Live a life true to myself

Don't work so hard, relax, life is more than my job

Express my feelings, no need to hide

Stay in touch, relationships matter most at the end of the day

Let myself be happier, you never know how much longer we get to live!

Being Open - Prompted by Pooopy

To be open to anything

Wide open

Welcoming the world

Its people, experiences, things

Try.

Pursue your joys

Let it be your oxygen

Share them if you can

Be filled.

I'm needing grounding. I haven't 'written' for leisure for what seems like eons.  I'm a sputtering engine at this point, if an engine at all. This feels alien. But I will do it.

I've recently been pondering what I want my life to be about. It's a bit frightening to think I'm a quarter of a century old, feeling a bit aimless but I shall remind myself - this is what I wanted to do, and I'm doing it. I'm learning, I'm living the somewhat car-independent lifestyle I craved for.

Come on, surely that's not the only lifestyle aspect you crave - yes you're right. There's a lot more - I just haven't made the decision to commit to the others.

A tangential thought; why write into the void? And on the other hand, why write out thoughts for an 'audience'?  This feels a bit high-school almost, like another method of self-exhibitionism - but I suppose it depends on the motive. Some write to inspire. Some write to express emotions of what otherwise would be unhealthily bottled-in. Why am I writing?
The latter, albeit in a very guarded manner.

I shall end on this note, the gist of it shall be my mantra:

"To be open to anything

Wide open

Welcoming the world

Its people, experiences, things

Try.

Pursue your joys

Let it be your oxygen

Share them if you can

Be filled"

Moving forwards,
I'll appreciate the world, the people around me - each a soul to be reveled in, the open possibilities, my health, the love I'm given, the love I can give, we all want to be loved :) Why not make it easier to receive it? Giveeeeeeee.

3.09am

I don't know if it's caffeine keeping me up, or if it's the excitement of discovering my potential ambition for post-graduation.

All I know is that it's past 3am and I need to be bright and fresh in less than 6 hours to play and sing at Mass.

I'm also very thankful for the internet because it is truly a powerful media connecting people across time and space.

I sound like a pompous robot.

The club in which the people meet tomorrow believes that

Not only is it true that “the early bird may get the worm, but it is the second mouse that gets the cheese”.

It is also true that "the early bird gets the worm, but the early worm gets eaten" (Quinn 2012)

Perfectionism or plain indulgence, I abhor thee

It's usually starting it that's the hardest for me.

I'm here to whine, as though manifesting my thoughts online where others may come across them may bring me some consolation and drive to perform as I say I will.

I love writing about Somalia.
I love research essays.
I love doing work when back at home with family.
I love and thrive working under pressure.

Care a lot about what others think, I do not!

JULIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

It cannot be perfect, just write something. Anything. Thing. hing. ing. ng. g. Okay not like that but I state the obvious. Use this time!

CONQUERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RULEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIVE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Every baby brings into the world
A song that has never been sung.
A hope that has never been quenched.
A chance to Love and be Loved and
A complete faith in us for protection."

Here's to 2011 and hello there to 2012!

2011 brought many blessings, many experiences, some pleasant, others not so, but through it all, we grew as always. Grew in self-knowledge, understanding, and love.

Here's to 2012!
New Year's resolution:
Handle my personal responsibilities better so that I may be at peace and more available for others.
Accept others as they are, not the romanticized version of them in my mind, and let others learn to accept me.

At the same time, I find this helpful for the times I find myself judging someone =)
St Therese of Lisieux once wrote:
"How do I react when in my mind's eye, I see the defects of someone who doesn't attract me? I remind myself of all that person's good qualities, all her good intentions."
