Changes

Well we have some very exciting changes coming our way. We are purchasing a home in Enoch. So now we can move out of the Ghetto. yay yay It had everything we wanted so we couldn't pass it up. Wood burning stove, Hot tub, and horse property. We are so glad to be moving and hopefully it will be next weekend. Kylie has had quite a few happenings

First she got her finger shut in the closet door she had to get two stitches and her finger nail fell off. It is growing back nicely. I don't think you will be able to tell. She is also almost done with Kindergarten and has done so good. I am sad that she has to leave her friends and start a new school but we should not be moving anymore for a long time so she won't have to keep leaving friends. She was on a performance dance team this year and they just finished competitions. Her group got superiors all around. They were such a cute little group. She will be starting a new class next school year.

Ellis is doing amazing and has started ABA therapy twice a week. It has helped him so much with his behavior and coping skills. He tested out of his pre-school but we want him to be in the next year kindergarten because he has a June birthday and lets face it he is really really short. haha So we decided to do kindergarten twice. One year to get the routine down and the next will be the class he will move along with. Hopefully he won't hold it against us his whole life.

I am so excited for summer ( sleeping in, swimming, t-ball, movies ) It will be nice to not have so many places to go for a while.

Jace's job is going well. He loves it and works with good people. He is at fire school all week sleeping out in the cold. (sounds fun)

Finally Got a Job

Yay! Jace finally got a job with the BLM. It seems so weird to actually be at this point in our lives. Done with school and onto the career I guess. He finished his first week and everything went good. I am so excited. Its been hard getting used to him not being around all the time but I guess we will adjust.

Kylie is doing great in kindergarten. I get to go out and volunteer in her class and it's fun to watch her. Right now she thinks its pretty cool to have her mom at school. This attitude might not continue for very many more years so I have to take advantage right now. haha. I am totally the mom that runs her kids to school in pj's. She hasn't said anything yet but I'm sure its coming.

We got Ellis into an Autism pilot program that Utah is trying. We are the first group so it is a little new to everybody but it's nice for families to have some help. He gets up to 15 hours of ABA therapy from a trained therapist to help him with some of his major issues. I hope it goes well for everybody. I am a little nervous having someone in my home for that long but we'll see how it goes.

Well the kids and Jace are all gone so I guess I will update if anyone even still checks the blog.

Summer is over Now I am getting excited for all the holiday fun to come.

I have also found out that I am a horrible school mom, and I used to be a teacher.  Kylie got morning Kindergarten and it is killing us all.  I know I know in another year we would have no choice but another year of sleeping in would have been nice.  ;)

Everyday she wakes up and says she is too tired and doesn't want to go and I honestly think about just going back to sleep and not making her go... haha awful I know!  And I hate the BUS I had her take the morning bus the first week with the big kids, and everyday I would watch the same 4th grader walk from the back of the bus and come and sit right by her and I wanted to chase the bus down and yell at the kid and tell him to get away from my kindergartener.  Geez  She told me that he bugs her the whole way to school so I drive her to school every morning.  Yes I am a sissy but I take no chances! She rides the bus home because it is just kindergarten students.  She also gets really car sick so that make school really fun after riding the bus for 45 min.  

Ellis is taking a fun pre-school that does tumbling and some fun kids dances as well as academic stuff.  He is loving it and doing so good.  He is also really into spider man and has the finger stance down to shoot pretend webs in every direction.  When he is mad at me he points his fingers at me and makes a spraying sound and says I got you. 

Jace is still looking for a job.  If anybody knows about openings in the range management or related fields please feel free to share!!

The Happiest Place on Earth!!

So two years ago we decided that when Jace graduated SUU we would take a trip to Disney Land with our kids.  Well he finally graduated!!! Yay Yay  We had a wonderful day celebrating and spending time with family.  I must say the reality of him being done with school really hasn't sunk in yet!!
Two days later we loaded up the car and headed out to California. 

Cons of the trips

• We left Sunday afternoon and didn't know that everyone who lives in California goes to Vegas for the weekend.  So we got to sit in traffic for almost four hours on a stretch that was supposed to take 2 1/2! Stop and go and stop and go and completely stop!  It was a mess....Thank goodness for car DVD players and zanex!  haha
• We had to leave a day early because Jace had a job interview.  :(

Pros of the Trip

• Our hotel was awesome!  Complimentary breakfasts and dinners.  They had a free shuttle to and from Disney land. Our rooms were separated into two parts so we could send the kids to bed and stay up later and we had a kitchen.

• The weather was perfect.  Not to hot or cold and the kids got to have a break from their allergies for a while. 

• It was a slow week for Disney land. The park wasn't so crowded and we got to see a lot of characters.

• My dad had a wheel chair and Ellis got a guest assistance pass so we didn't have to wait in long lines.  We thought we would be tough and see if Ellis could handle it but he just couldn't.  It was so nice and took a lot of stress off knowing we didn't have to fight him. 
• Disney Lands computers went down for a whole day so they had no idea who had electronic passes and who didn't. We got an extra day for free.  
• Great company!
• The parade was so neat!
• It was really fun watching my kids enjoy themselves and the look on their faces when they got to meet someone or see something that they liked.  They are at the perfect age where they still believe and thought everyone was real!!

 We got a puppy and Kitty for the day!  The puppy didn't last very long so he looked like he had  black eye in the rest of the pictures!!

Ellis is really sensitive to sound and hates parades.  We got him some ear covers and it was great.  He loved the parade and didn't get scared at all.  

 Kylie was so brave and went on Space Mtn. and Splash Mtn.  You can barely see her head behind my dad and speaking of my dad isn't that hilarious.  My nieces came running out and said we weren't scared at all.  I said really cuz look at your faces.  haha

 I want to go back already.  I told Jace I could stay there forever! Who wouldn't want to go play and have someone clean my room while I was gone and prepare breakfast and dinner.  That would be the life.

Great Party!!

We had a great celebration for this little 5 yr old.  She told me she loved her party and got everything she was hoping for.  That's what you hope to hear when you plan a party for weeks.  hehe

 I am not much of a friend party fan so I decided to combine and invite a few close friends and their families along with all of the actual family.  It worked out pretty good!

 She specifically asked for a pinata and a Rapunzel tower cake so I did my best.  My mom got the pinata and it was a great success except for the piles of confetti.  haha It did clean up easily.  But note for future party don't put confetti in a pinata.  I was hoping for good weather but it was snowing so we all just squished in the house.

The tower cake was so easy once I thought of how to do it.  It was really fun to watch her and I'm glad she had fun. I can't believe I have a 5 year old.  She went to kindergarten registration and passed off everything.  Except her eye exam and that is a no brainer!! So in a few months we get to start that fun adventure.  I sure hope I am a better bus mom with her than I have been with Ellis.  Geez it gives me anxiety!!
