Ah September!

I'm getting excited for fall. I just love the cool mornings that come with fall. They make me want to spend time outside instead of hiding inside with my AC.

Lena just started preschool for the very first time. She absolutely loves it. Her best friend in the whole world (Shelby) is in her class and that makes the whole thing even better. I just realized though that I never took pictures. I'm trying to decide if that makes me a bad mom. Maybe I'll take a few on Tuesday with her in her backpack and then just tell her later they were from her first days or something. I don't know.

Tage is doing great too. He just loves cars, but pretty much only Cars cars. He also wants to play with all of Lena's friends and everyone is at the age they find him a tagalong and don't want him to play too. At first he was upset when Lena would leave him at home with me when she would go to her friends' house, but now he likes to play by himself and find stuff he likes to do.

Lena has a gang and there are days where they just rove around the neighborhood messing up everyone's house. It's kinda cute. Except for the mess part.

Random Sidenote: I have decided that I love my Kindle, but it makes me read weird stuff.

Hi. I know it's been forever. I apologize for my laziness. I will not bombard you with pics and stuff. This is just to say hi and that we are still here. I will get around to doing more stuff, soon. Maybe. Have you missed out on much? Maybe. Let's see... birthdays, mini-golf, swimming, weddings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, baseball games, and general just being cute. Sorry for slacking.

Lena's Very Purple Birthday!

Lena just turned 3. All of a sudden she has even more to say than normal and her vocabulary is growing exponentially. Lately, she's been using phrases. Phrases like: Oh my goodness. or: Of course. Where does she get this stuff? Lena was very excited for her birthday. She got some birthday money a little early and bought herself a birthday shirt, which was purple.

I asked her what kind of cake she wanted and she said a purple cake. (My last attempt at fondant).

(Just in case you couldn't tell, purple is her favorite color. She has a purple blanket and askes daddy for purple kisses before she goes to bed. Purple is awesome.) She waited allllllllllllllll week to be able to where her purple birthday shirt. She told my mom, Me-ma, on her birthday that today was her purple birthday. She is awesome. (5 minutes before her "party" she told me she needed a party hat. I have no idea where she got that idea, but we managed to scrounge one up. Tage got a red hat, but refused to wear it.) We mostly have video on the event, but here are a few action shots.

Halloween

It rained all day on the 30th and that's when the trunk or treat for our ward was suppose to happen. Thankfully, it stopped raining in time for us to go get candy!!!! Lena and Tage went as Pebbles and Bam-bam. I think they turned out pretty cute.

Hikes: We took Brett's sister, Brooke, up to Squaw Peak because she had never been. (It's late, forgive the grammar.) Here is Lena with Tage's football.

Tage's Blessing

Tage's Blessing day was August 1, 2010. It was awesome because Brett's family and some of my family happened to be in town at the same time and could attend. Here is the big guy in his dress shirt and tie.
