strasbourg and other things

not scrapped for ages so i decided to do the atdml cybercrop. raena went to germany the other week and spent a day in strasbourg and the class and papers were just right for this.

for the sketch class i used a photo of my first peach...pity the rains washed it away the following week!

and a lo done of the street party at lucy's in april...used some really old 7g papers

what a week!!

well it started off with raena baking cupcakes and making a huge mess with the icing sugar when she dropped it....cupcakes were nice though...see above.....
then she ended up in hospital for two and half days with severe stomach pains.....
spent all yesterday morning clearing up the weeks mess from when i'd dumped everything running back and to to the hopsital coz my brother and sister were coming over......
and today ive been scrapping, the one below is for septembers atdm sketch....and breathe.....

day off...or so i thought....

so today i was just going to do a bit of tidying up and then i was going to scrap....notice the words "was"....coz all ive done is sort stuff out and tidy up and ive still to clear the livingroom so that i can start painting in there first thing in the morning. the only good thing is that i have cleared out a ton of papers, old mags and a load of tat.

i managed to persuade raena to let me take some photos yesterday and did this last night for shimelles 2nd sketch

busy busy

so i am supposed to be on my hols but all ive dpne is decorate. the kitchen is done and ive just one more wall to do in the dining room...it hasnt helped having to give the ceiling 3 coats!
i'm taking the next few hours out to do some scrapping. theres a crop over at shimelles blog. heres a photo i took earlier of raenas socks...shes always wearing odd ones even at school where she's only supposed to wear black.

its been a long time

i didnt realise it had been so long...where does the time go lol.
i just nipped on to post the layout that i did for the atdml sketch though it didnt end up looking like when i had finished lol
we went to my sisters a couple of weeks ago and the village was festooned in bunting for the secret gardens openings.

as its half term...no...were not going anywhere, well unless you include a trip to ikea next week on the bus lol. mind you we are taking the cat for the snip on monday!

a quick update for my brother lol

we had a great time at my sisters down in cornwall over christmas it was really relaxing which is just what we needed.

my nephew is off to india today for a stint of voluntary work, i wish him well.

today my baby has reached her teens, seeing that shes been acting like a teenager for years i'm hoping it wont get worse lol.

kyo our new 7 week old kitten. he's very active and ive spent the last two days running around the house blocking up all the nooks and crannies so that he doesnt get stuck or play with any wires lol.

went a cropping

on saturday and managed to do these two from sketches....well i finished the howdy one this morning but you know what i mean lol. love the detail of the butterflies which i stamped and then flocked.

i am so pleased with this scabiosa as i thought at one stage i had lost it to slugs but it held on in there and has produced the most beautiful flowers

and these are my tomatoes in the greenhouse

and this is my morning glory, its just a shame that the flowers only last a day.

christmas journal that i started last year?

well i finally finished it last weekend lol. its a good job that i had written down notes for everyday otherwise i wouldnt have been able to finish it.

the last few days i've been working on a cat journal for zante and bali who passed away last year. it was only when i finished the last page that i realised that i had bought some flocked paper especially for it!

the family lo that i showed in the last post was for a scrapshed sketch contest and i won a £10 voucher!

another two sketches that i have done the past week, sorry for the terrible photos but my scanner is playing up when i try to stitch them.

on a sad note my cousin billy died a couple of weeks ago and the funeral was on wednesday. although it was a sad occaision it was nice to meet up with family that i havent seen for years.

been busy

this weekend. my brother got married a few weeks ago and ive done a few lo's with the help of sketches.

and i finally got round to doing some of R's school photos...ok so there are 3 on one lo but at least ive scrapped them lol

really looking forward to having 6 weeks off...were not doing anyhting special but at least it will be a break
