New arrival

Molly was born on November 9th 2012 at 2:31 pm.  She was 20.5 inches long and 6 lbs 13 oz.  She was so tiny.  A lot smaller than the other kids were.  She as been such an angel in our family.  I am so grateful to have her in our family.  The kids were very excited to have her come. We went to build a bear the week she came so they could make her a gift for the hospital.  

Molly was one of many names we had at the hospital, but we knew her middle name was going to be Leila, after my mom.  Kurt and I finally sat down the day after she was born and decided on the name.  We thought of our top names and we both had Molly on the top.  We knew that would be her name.  She is perfect in our family and has made us very grateful for what we have this time of year.  We love you Molly. 

Baby Stain Remover

Baby stain remover. hot water in a bucket, 1/3 cup (it kind of depends on how much your trying to do at once, I used a 16 qt bucket with this amount) original blue dawn soap, and 1/3 cup clorox 2 powder. Mix together in water and key the clothed soak until stain is gone. Formula took one day and poop took 3 days. Just keep checking it and then submerg again. Rinse out once stain is gone or almost gone and was like normal.

Paisley goes to Preschool

Paisley started her first "real" year of preschool at our elementary school in August. She looked so grown up and was so excited to go to the BIG school. she has loved learning and getting to know more friends. I hope it continues to be a good experience for her. I am very impressed to see her progress and the things she can do. she writes her name very well. We are now working on sounding out letters and reading them.

Paisley's Birthday

Paisley turned 4 in August. We had a great time with her. It was our first party and "real" birthday. I think I am going to like spoiling my kids on their birthdays. Not really with presents, but just making them feel like it is a special day for them, because it was a special day for us when they were born:)

Girls Camp 2012

I got to go on girls camp this year as the Assistant Stake Camp Director. It was a great experience to be with all the young women of the stake. I got to know a lot of them and their leaders. It was fun to be on the stake level to be able to get to know people and make sure all the plans went well, but didn't have to deal with a lot of the drama you can find at camp. It was a very spiritual experience as well. I got to work closely with the 9 YCL's of the stake. I was amazed at how strong their are and how much the other girls looked up to the. It is amazing how strong the spirit is when you are around the youth of the church. It was a testimony builder for me. Not only is it a spiritual experience, but a fun time as well. things happen at girls camp that you will never see happen anywhere else:)

Flaming Gorge 2012

We had a great time at flaming gorge this year. We were not going to go, because of Ty's cast, but we decided to give it a try. Someone told me, would I rather sit around home with him or sit around on a boat? I knew what he would like so we tried it. And, Ken and Kolene were going to be with us because they hadn't left on their mission yet. Kolene had a low platelets problem so it took them a few months to go while she got better. Ty did pretty well. He never asked to swim. He started to move around so he would get his cast dirty. I didn't want him to crawl through the sand and get it in his cast so we made sure he stayed off the sand. He got to go on the wave runner with me and didn't even get wet. He was a trooper. I am glad we got to go. It was definitely hard at times, but better than staying home:)

10 Year High School Reunion

WE had our 10 year high school reunion in July. It was fun to see a lot of people we haven't seen for so long. It is nice to go to the reunion with Kurt because we both graduated the same year so we both know everyone. It was at the Joseph Smith Building. We watched a slideshow, had a raffle and listened to music. It was a little more formal than I thought it would be, but it was still fun to talk to everyone.

Provo Camping Trip

We went on our annual camping trip with the Smithson's and Higley's.  We went to a KOA:) Then we went to Seven Peaks the next morning.  We had a great time.  I only wish we could make the trip a little longer.  Hopefully we can do it longer next year.

Ty's broken Leg

Most of you know, Ty had an accident in July and fell off a inflatable playground slide and broke his femur bone. It was so scary. It was the first thing he had done at the fun center. I heard him scream so I ran over to see what happened. I knew something was wrong because of how he screamed. You just know as a mom. He was on his back, I didn't know if I should move him, but my first thought was to get him out of there. Right when I picked him up I felt his femur bone bend in half. And it was swollen within seconds. We made it to Wee Care, then to the ER at Davis hospital, then they took us in an ambulance to primary children's hospital where they had to take them in the OR and put a full body cast on him. He had it on for 6 weeks. It was a long 6 weeks, he couldn't swim, bath, sit up, he finally learned to move around, even walk. Everything is better now but it will be a memory we will remember for the rest of our lives. This kid has the weirdest things happen. He broke his skull when he was 5 months, he had a neck abbess drained in Feb 2012 and now a broken femur. I hope this doesn't continue.

4th of July

We had a great time at the Kids parade on the 3rd. The kids got to ride their bikes. We had a chain problem and Ty didn't want to ride his bike anymore. I am glad we did it still. I would like our kids to continue to do it. It was really fun and I hope to not have bike problems the next year. We also ran the race. The kids stayed with Kami at the finish line while I ran it and Kurt had to go to the Kaysville race this year for his work. It was different not to have hime, but with work you got to do what you got to do. He came to the parade after. We didn't go to uncle Al's house this year so we got to spend more time with my family.

The feeling of organization...and space

We are so grateful to finally have our storage up in our garage.  It helps so much.  I can't believe how much floor space there now is in the garage.
Our 11 year old scouts helped their leaders, Austin and Jeremy with this project.  They helped us get the wood and put it together.  They did one shelf one week and the next shelf a few weeks later.  It is so great.  I feel like it is christmas in the garage.  Thank you so much for the help.  they look great.  Something we have wanted to do for a while now.  It sure helps too as we get ready for another baby.

New York trip in June

Paisley and I got to go to New York with just the girls in my family in June.  It was amazing.  I loved spending time with Paisley.  She was great.  She enjoyed her time with her cousins, aunts and especially grandma.  We went to Mary Poppins on broadway.  Paisley loved it.  We spent time at central park, shopping, sightseeing, and the anticipated visit to the american girl store.  Paisley got her first american girl doll.  They all had such a great time.  Nothing like spending time in New York with the girls.  I can't wait to take Kurt their someday.

May update

We had a great time at Disneyland and California Adventure in May.  We went with the kids and my parents.  It was the greatest trip.  It was so much fun to make memories with our own kids.  We had to make sure and see all the princesses for Paisley.  She was so excited to meet them.  She wanted to wear her snow white dress everyday...I think she did:).  We all had a great time.  Thanks for the great vacation mom and dad:)  Disneyland is still the happiest place on earth:)

Update?!?!?

I can't believe how long it has been since I have updated my blog. I always say I am going to start again. So, I'll say it again...I am going to post again. We'll see if I keep it going:) I need to update on our great summer...good and bad.
