August - First Day of School

August 22, 2012: Today was the First day of school for my little man! Where have these 5 years gone? I remember it like yesterday the Doctor placing this little bundle of joy in my arms, and feeling so many emotions at once! Joy, nervousness, scared, excited, anticipation for the years to come! He has brought so much joy and excitement into our home! How boring life would be without him! He is such a good big brother to his sister, always looking out for her and helping her! He is such a big help to his mom and dad! Always wanting to get in there and work along side us! Whether it is mowing the yard, folding laundry or organizing the toys! He is always there to give me a hug when I am sad, always there to make me laugh and feel happy and joy! I am feeling so many mixed emotions once again sending him off into the world! I pray he will do good and be good, and be a good example to his classmates and friends! Kev gave him such a beautiful fathers blessing the night before. It was so special! I love this little man so much and feel so blessed that he is ours!

Kiley and I were lost without our Ethan but those 3 hours he is gone actually went by pretty quick! We went for a girls lunch at Taco Time after we dropped him off. Kiley wanted to be a butterfly! I love this girl!

August - Lagoon Day

August 20 Kevin's work had a Lagoon Day. It had been a while since we had both been there so we were excited to take our kids. Ethan and Kiley both had such a great time! Kiley was a little hesitant to get on most rides but Ethan was being a little more daring! He had a blast! It had probably been two or three years since we had taken him and he was not willing to go on hardly any rides. But he loved everyone he went on this time! He did The Bat (which I was even nervous to send him on with Kev, I stayed behind with Kiley) He LOVED Puff the magic dragon roller coaster. The last ride we went on was Log Flume and it was a good thing too cause we got SOAKED! HAHA Josh and Nikki came on it with us, So it was Josh and Nikki in the front with Kiley sitting in between them then Ethan me and Kev in the back... We were probably a little too overloaded but once we went down that drop, crashing in the bottom it took a second for all the water to come crashing on us. We could not stop laughing! Ethan hated getting so wet! We had a great time!

 Kiley decided she wasn't liking most of the rides so she sat this one out and waited for Ethan patiently with Daddy!

July - Treehouse Museum

July 16: At the beginning of the year I had purchased the kids a pass to the Treehouse Museum. With their pass they could invite a friend, So Ethan and Kiley both wanted to invite their friend Karver. They do so many fun activities at the Treehouse Museum. We have really enjoyed having a pass to there. It is right next to the Ogden Temple and it has been so fun to see the temple progress in its renovation as well!

July - Family Time

Vyedka was down in July so we wanted to make sure we saw her so we left Yellowstone early to get home to celebrate the 4th of July in Utah. While Vyedka was down we took a fun trip to the Zoo.

My dad said he had a pet monkey that was exactly like this one when he was a boy.... How fun would that be!

 THE 4th OF JULY: We had a great crowd this year! We went to the Kaysville Parade and Fireworks and we were actually pretty disappointed in the un-patriotic way Kaysville decided to put it on this year, but non the less we had a great time with family!
