Keira just got in the stylist chair. She's content watching Dora the Explorer and eating her sucker.

Mmm! This sucker is pretty good.

Now she's not happy.

Oh, that's right! I have my sucker. I'm okay.

Split second decision...do you want bangs? GONE!

AFTER

I get to keep the sucker, right?

She's not a baby anymore.

Well, the first haircut experience took all but 5 minutes. The stylist was so good and new what Keira needed, even among the chaos in the background. I just told her it was her first haircut and away she went. She trimmed a little here and there, keeping her curly baby hair, and whalla! She's a BIG girl and she can see!

Eating Applesauce

The last few nights Keira has been a bear. She hasn't been feeling very well since 4am New Year's Eve. She woke up with almost a 102 degree fever. She hasn't been sleeping well since then either, so needless to say, the last few nights hasn't been a field of roses. Since Keira hasn't been feeling well, not sleeping, or eating normally, she has developed her terrible two's a bit early. She has thrown herself on the floor screaming (even in the bath tub) because she can't watch anymore Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, or can't eat a cookie for dinner, or has to get out of the tub. Oh well! If I ignore the tantrums long enough she may stop...hopefully. Otherwise, the next several years may be a bear for us all. Help!

Talk about CABIN FEVER. This weekend we were forced to stay indoors due to the weather. However, Dave and I were able to have a "freedom night" away from Keira to go to my work Christmas Party, Friday night. By the time we left the snow had just started falling and it didn't stop until 8pm Saturday night. We did manage to go to a neighbors for their son's birthday party that got moved from the fire station less than a mile away. Driving conditions were terrible, so you didn't want to be on the roads. We even drove around the block to the party, picking up a few neighbors along the way who were going to walk. Little did they know, the snow was already up to their knees. We got a total of 20" with enormous amounts of snow drifts, including a -21 degree wind chill Sunday. We seriously need to start thinking about vacationing south for 6 months. I think the "snow birds" are on to something.

Keira Visits Santa

She was a bit unsure about the old man in a suit, but was semi-okay if mommy held her and daddy made funny faces by the camera. He tried to find out what she wanted for Christmas, but she just stared at him. She sure looked cute though. I think even Santa was impressed. He kept waving at her while we were leaving the mall.

Thank you Aunt Nicole for my new chair. I love it.


After a day in exile way from her daddy, Keira finally gets him back. Dave and Keira have been fighting the stomach flu, and I have been disinfecting the entire house keeping everyone in separate corners.

Now they're watching the LETTER GAME...aka...Wheel of Fortune.

Trick or Treating with friends from the neighborhood





Our babysitter's dad was handing out candy and just loved Keira.




Dave and i took Keira out trick or treating for the first time. She dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and of course looked adorable. We took her to the first house and she wasn't sure what she was doing there, but she took the candy anyway. The second house she sat in the middle of their porch, and still took the candy. By the 3rd or 4th house, she got the hang of the whole trick or treating thing. She went up to each house, stood at the door looking really cute, and then the person would put candy in her bucket. She filled her bucket up half way and that was good enough for mom and dad. Keira was getting tired, so we headed home. Once we got there, Keira had to butter up to daddy to get some candy, so she grabbed a handful and another and another. We then shifted through her bucket to double check her candy and maybe pick out a couple to eat. Keira had her first Tootsie Roll Pop sucker and loved it. She had a great night.

We went to friends to the Emma Krumbee's Apple Orchard this weekend and I believe we hit a record high temperature of 85 degrees. My type of weather. Instead of bundling in coats and sweaters, we were in shorts and t-shirts.

Keira also had a birthday party to go to this weekend at "My Gym." She absolutely loved it, especially the bin of plastic balls and the trampoline. However, she wasn't too sure about the zip line swing we put her in. Although, the birthday girl loved it.
