Kayden’s Toothless Grin…

Today Kayden lost her first tooth.  She was SO super excited.  Her tooth has been loose for about 3 weeks and every chance she got, she wiggled and wiggled it and today she finally wiggled it out…

Before Kayden went to bed she put a glass of water by the window, so that we could see what color the tooth fairy’s dress was…

She was so excited about getting $5.00, in the piggy bank it went, saving for something special…

 

Karsyn is 10 Months Old…

Well, it's true, Miss Karsyn Ava  is 10

months old. This little Miss keeps us

on our toes and makes us smile all the time!

Here's what you are doing at 

ten months old…

Stats:  20 pounds 13 ounces (weight from going to see Dr. Leffel when you were sick)

~climbing...you have been climbing on top of and over everything and anything  you can.

~talking...you wave and say “ba ba”as well as “hi” not on command of course and usually about 2 minutes after someone has left.  You also say “ma ma” and “da da”.  You love to hear your voice and make sounds constantly.  You also love to point your finger as you talk, it’s the cutest thing.

 
~peek a boo...you love to play peek a boo over the side of the couch as well as putting something on top of your head and pulling it off and of course we say “where’s Karsyn”  and you pull it off and we say “there she is”  and you laugh and laugh.

~walking...you will walk while holding on to one hand and will stand on your own quite a bit. You have even taken a few steps…we keep thinking your close to taking off.  You love to push your little car around the house as well as your baby stroller Santa brought you for Christmas.  You walk around the furniture like crazy and even step from the big chair in the living room to the couch with no hands at all.

~eating…still your favorite thing to do.  You are now pretty much eating all table food.  You love carrots, green beans, bananas, apples, baby raviolis, peas, waffles, toast, mash potatoes, beets. We have found ONE thing you Don’t like and that is yogurt.  We thought at first it may be that it was too cold for you so we bought the baby kind that doesn't have to be in the fridge and nope, you still made the yuckiest face when you took a bite.  You must take after Daddy because Mommy and Kayden love yogurt. 

~”no, no Karsyn”…we say this a million times a day.  You are everywhere and we have to make sure doors are closed especially to mommy and daddy’s room, Kayden’s room and the guest bathroom.  You DO NOT like to be told no, you are a stubborn, headstrong little lady !!

~health…this month was your first time to go see Dr. Leffel because you weren’t feeling well.  For about a week you had a runny nose and coughing a lot, so as the week went on your cough became worse and then you started running a little bit of a fever.  Mommy decided to take you to see Dr. Leffel and after she examined you, you were diagnosed with RSV.  Our poor little girl had to take an antibiotic for 10 days and then over the next 7 days you had to do breathing treatments every 4 to 6 hours.  You have also starting sleeping with a humidifier at night to help with your breathing as well…when we went back  in 2 weeks to see Dr. Leffel for you follow-up, she said you sounded and looked great… 

We love love love our little Karsyn, she seriously makes every day so much fun…

Karsyn is 9 Months Old…

Is it really possible that nine months have gone by?

Yes, yes it is. Our little Karsyn Ava is 9 months old.

Here's a little bit of what you have been up to…

sTAtS

weight 20 pounds (50-75 %)

height  28 inches (50-75%)

*standing...you have really good control and can stand for a couple of seconds before you sit down…taking steps is just around the corner…

*cruising {while holding on to something}...you love pushing anything you can get your hand on…

*eating...you’ve been eating some table food and have  pretty good control getting it into your mouth and everything that goes in you love and beg for more…

*obeying... you definitely understand the word no! and do NOT like to be told it…

*paci…you have finally taken to a paci, mommy & daddy aren’t huge fans of the paci but if it makes you happy then so be it.  The Simpson house is a little less fussy at night before bed because of it, so thank you paci you are the best…

*stranger danger...still on high alert, you don’t cry anymore when a stranger talks to you but you have started to put your head down on mommy or daddy’s shoulder to hide your face, it’s really sweet…you also love to wave bye-bye and hi and when you wave you say “hi”.  Your love saying “da da”…

*big sissy…  Oh how you love her, she’s so great with you and makes you laugh and laugh…She will play with you for hours…

*teeth…we still love your gummy smile but when oh when are those pearly whites going to appear…

*staring...ummm, hello. did your mother never teach you that it's rude to stare at people??

Your personality is coming out more and more.
You’re so active and quiet hilarious.
We love you more and more every single day.
Happy nine months baby girl !!

 

Aggie Gals…

Saturday’s are so much funning hanging around the house and watching college football.  Today “D” came over and we fixed nachos, queso, stuffed jalapenos, & guacamole.  We watched the Aggies BTHO Baylor and of course we were all dressed in our Aggie attire…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mommy doesn’t know what to do with all this crazy hair.  Kayden was bald until she was almost 2…Mommy put a little clip in it and it looked so super cute…

 

 

 

 

Look what you have finally taken a liking to.  Mommy and Daddy aren’t great fans of the paci but Karsyn is a little on the whiny side and so the paci helps keep the Simpson house a little less loud at times…

This was such a great picture of Kayden that I had to crop Mommy and Karsyn out…the picture below cracks me up because it’s so real life…Karsyn loves to take her headbands off from time to time.  She not like Kayden at all because Kayden never thought about taking hers off.  Karsyn is a little stinker…

Who Needs a Baby Doll When you have a Baby Sister to Stroll Around the House…

Tonight before bed, Kayden took Karsyn on a little stroll around the house in her baby stroller.  Karsyn had so much fun,  every time Kayden would stop Karsyn would let out a little scream for her to go again…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m loving seeing the girls actually starting to play with one another.  Kayden is such an awesome big sister and plays so good with Karsyn.  They are already beginning to have so much fun together…sisters are so sweet and special…

 

Happy Halloween 2010

Having 2 little girls to dress up for Halloween this year was so much fun…Bat Girl and Our Little Pumpkin were so stink’in cute.  We went over to the Moore’s house and went trick or treating in the River Trails neighborhood.  Kayden had a blast trick or treating with Mallory and now that she’s in Kindergarten at RTE she even ran into a few of her friends a long the way…Karsyn was such a good little pumpkin and rode in the wagon while mommy pulled her and she LOVED it…
