Mia's Baptism

Mia was baptized on July 4th! She thought that was the coolest day to get baptized.  So blessed to have her as my daughter.  She is such an amazing help to me.

End of Summer. Part II

Seconds away from an epic belly flop!

Mr. Magoo goes to the pool.  He wore those goggles just like that the whole time!

We took a trip to the Fairy Forest because, you know ... grandma! We built our own little fairy shrine.  Emmett and the fairies rock on!

 Those curls, though!

Trace is a happy hiker.  We drug him on quite a few hikes this summer.

We hiked Stewart Falls one Sunday evening.

We had our annual Bear Lake vacation in August. We always have such a good time up there!

I was looking at Jackson the other day and realizing he's turning into a young man.  Not quite a little boy anymore!

I was able to do quite a bit of wakeboarding this year.  It gets more fun the better I get.  I didn't swallow quite as much lake water as in previous years....

It's better to let go and plug your nose when you're going down!

Tim makes it look easy!

We did all these things, and so much more! Life gets so busy that I forget to document it, but looking back on all my years on the blog, and I'm so grateful to have captured these small moments in our lives.

End of Summer. Part I

I can't believe another summer is over! It was filled with lots of baseball, swimming, camping, boating, and working.

Bobby came home from his mission in June.  Emily and her kids were able to fly out and stay for a month.  We were so happy to see Bobby and to be all together again.

Waiting for Bobby to get off his plane.  It took him forever! (Or so it seemed.)

Emmett talked about Bobby a lot while he was on his mission, but he was only 8 months old when Bobby left, so he didn't really remember him.  He still starts his prayers every night with, "Heavenly Father. Bobby safe. Mission..." Even though Bobby's been back for 3 months now.

We went camping in Moab at Dead Horse Point.  When I say camping, I really mean we slept in these really awesome yurts,
Dead Horse Point

Grandpa rented RZR's and we spent all day on Mia's 8th birthday playing in the dirt and mud.  It was rainy and cold, but we had a blast anyway.  Tim did take a spill with my dad and kids in the RZR, but thankfully no one was seriously hurt!

We had Mia's 8th birthday party in Moab.  She got her ears pierced for her birthday and was super excited! We took her to the mall on our way to Moab, and she had no idea what we were there for.  Wish I had her face on camera when we told her what we were there for! She's been begging me to get her ears pierced since she was 4!

Bubbles with cousins at the yurts.

We traveled with Jackson's baseball team to Steamboat Springs, CO again this year. We didn't camp this year, though.  We stayed in a little condo right in Steamboat.

Jackson played a TON of ball.  Thunder were seed #1 for the tournament, but they lost to the same team that beat them last year in the same tournament! The boys were so sad, but they played their little hearts out.  We had fun, regardless.

We had a small break from baseball one afternoon, so we went swimming in the hot springs.  They had a water slide and a rock climbing wall at this all natural hot springs.

Jackson's teary eyed smile after losing the tournament.

And just like that, his 9U season was over!

Emmett loves the boat more than anyone else in our family.  Faster dad! Faster!

Love these little babies of mine! Live long and prosper.

My beautiful Mia girl had her first gymnastics recital.  She's amazingly and strong and beautiful!

Trace: 6 months

Trace turned 6 months old at the beginning of May! He's 19 pounds 14 ounces (85%) and is 30 inches long (99%). He is such a happy little man! The doctor found another unsuspecting ear infection at his check-up.  He found one at his 4 month check-up as well.  I had NO idea! He was a little *less* happy- I mean - I can't even classify it as "cranky," but nothing to make me think he needed to be taken to the doctor.  Poor guy.  He's crawling, sitting up on his own, and he doesn't really like solid foods.  We offer him some every evening, and he just makes funny faces.  He is more interested in hitting the tray on his chair than he is in eating.  What a weirdo! My other kids LOVED everything food, so this behavior is new to me.  I mean, whose son are you anyway, Trace?!  He's just about the cutest thing I've ever seen with those dimples, though. I love him so very, very much! He is truly a blessing!

Trace and Emmett are about the best-est of friends I could ever imagine.  Trace loves Jack and Mia so much, but he just beams whenever Emmett walks in the room.
Emmett loves Trace just as much, and the first thing he asks every morning is, "Where Tracer?" Emmett tends to play a little too rough for Trace at times, but give Trace a little more growing , and I think he'll be an OK match for his big brother.

Lava Hot Springs/Pocatello Picture Overload

We spent the weekend in Lava Hot Springs and Pocatello for a baseball tournament.  Pictures are worth a thousand words, so I'll just shut up and start uploading.  I do want to say, though, I have some pretty cute kids.

Lava Hot Springs. It was 52 degrees outside and about 102-110 degrees in the water.
The kids loved it, and it was beautiful!

Emmett is my only child not fond of water. He was perfectly content just sitcking his feet in.  He eventually got all the way in, and even got his hair wet, so that was a big deal!

Shes's hiding from baseball under the baseball blanket.
Actually, she's hiding from the wind and cold.

Sliding into home. He was safe, in case you were wondering.

I know whoTrace gets his dimples from.

I seriously just can't even!

So this is Emmett's baseball face. Kid cracks me up!

He mostly bats left handed, even though he's right handed.
This is the first year he's started batting right handed sometimes, "But only against left handed pitchers, mom!"

8 hours of ball games, 4 hours of warmups, rain storms, hail storms, wind storms, cranky babies, toddler tantrums, and lots and lots of driving .... This is one worn out mama!

We stayed in a little cabin at Lava Hot Springs.  We promised the kids we could roast masrshmellows. You can't tell in this picture, but it's raining. They said, "But you promised!"

And then I made them take baths.

Sometimes baseball is serious.

But mostly it's just fun.

What can I say about this picture? Kid is cray-cray.
