Hard Water Got You Dry????

If you have hard water at your house and need a quick fix try one of these.

It's a filter you put on your regular shower head to filter out chlorine, calcium and other hard chemicals. Your hair will feel softer, more conditioned and less brittle. And your skin will feel so much softer and hydrated. The hard chemicals they add in our water dry out hair and skin and also build up on the shower/tub. These filters run around 20 dollars and you change the insert every 2-3 months. So easy and so worth it!!!

My New Favorite.....

Tarte "Lights,Camera, Lashes" mascara just plain ROCKS!!! I love this stuff. It goes on so amazingly in one coat, so you don't need a ton of applications. It really maximizes and fills out your lashes. Better than falsies and even extensions! I love it.

Way too long...

I can't believe how fast time flies, and how long it's been since my last post. Thank you to all of my faithful followers. I promise I will have some more eye candy very soon!

This photo shoot was so much fun. This couple had me laughing and having so much fun. And they just radiate with love. I did her hair and makeup, and posing and Monica Parker took the gorgeous photos, along with posing and styling. So pretty! ~Modern Pin-up~

I LOVE pin-up styles so this was one of my favorites. I did the hair and makeup and Marykay Hall did the fabulous photography. It is sexy and tasteful, while showing the soft curves and sensuality of a woman. I think the 40's is one of my favorite eras.

Shalee

I teamed up with Monica Parker on this photo shoot. Shalee is perfect for old vintage beauty. I did the hair and makeup and Monica took the gorgeous photos. This shoot was so much fun!! And we think we captured her perfectly. You can click on the photos to make them larger. Oh, and thanks Dad for the "old bike", we loved it!

Marykay

Ok, this one "wowed" me. I love hair makeovers. I took Marykay from a golden blonde to a a rich brown with caramel highlights. I love it!! And she looks so beautiful!

Meggie

Try out some extensions! I first colored and trimmed Meggie's hair, and then added in some extensions to give her length and thickness. Finished it off with some fun loose curls. Not too hard to make her look good, when she's already gorgeous!!

= do it yourself hair clog remover that is safe on pipes and costs a ton less than the drain cleaners at the store. I saw it on Rachel Ray and thought it was great and had to share! First unscrew the drain cover. Then pour half a cup of baking soda down the drain, then pour down half a cup of white vinegar. Then add down a cup of boiling water and let it break the clog up. Use the wire hanger to fish out the clog of hair. Presto! Not to mention, no harsh chemicals to breathe in. Love it.

Love, love, love this conditioner!

Logics DNA color care conditioner is so great for hydrating super dry or over-worked hair. It comes in Levels 1,2 and 3 depending on your conditioning needs. 1=dry 2=dry and damaged 3=very dry and damaged. It's a little spendy, but totally worth it!

Kathleen~ Trying on a little chocolate~

Kathleen had been highlighted and wanted to try going a little darker. We did a rich chocolate with some caramel around her face and sides. Super pretty and shiny! She has super curly hair so I blew it out and added some curls with my flat iron.

Wax On....Wax Off....

Love this dry spray wax from Sexy Hair. For short styles needing lift or hold, or fringe/bangs needing light control and separation. This wax is like a mixture of hairspray and wax and has a very matte finish. It's awesome alone, or layered up with another wax for more hold.

Chase~Can't forget the fellas!

This cut is a little tapered and rough all in one. A little spray wax and flat ironing, and he's ready to play. (He's in a band :)) He pulls it off for sure!

This cut was so much fun to do! She wanted a dramatic a-line cut to give her a fun and classic look. It fits her perfectly.
