One more month!

I can't believe it's down to the last wire! Hoorah! I feel appropriately ramped up as we are going to Les Mis tonight. The music to "One Day More" ringing through my head. I know- I know- I only post when we're expecting a new addition... But I am SO excited to be done being pregnant.

I have had the lovely pleasure of wearing compression stockings the last 3 weeks thanks to crazy veins behind my knee, and a 10 hour Utah road trip for Christmas. The doctor "informed me thusly" that should I decide to have any more children- I will get to wear these beauties the full 9 months next time. Sounds like this could seriously be the last kid to come to the Jepsen household if that's the case. Maybe I should be enjoying this last month- this could be the last one.

Baby girl #3 is scheduled to enter the world Feb 6th. Which means, as a respectable daughter of mine, she'll be here around Valentines. We are still stumped on the name. Charlotte informed me today that she can't be "new baby" forever. So it sounds like we'll need to dust off our baby book and get cracking. It's just that Adam has been set on "Melanie" for like.. ever, and I want a name that's older like Charlotte/ Penelope- but maybe not so stinking hard for toddlers to spell.

So Yipee for babies! And hoorah for the final month.

Oh milk how I miss you!

 

 When you think I am over exaggerating- i would like to ask..."Have we met?" i personally fall short to only 1 person (my sister Erin) in the largest milk consumption per day. Here's how it usually went. 

Morning- LARGE plastic cup of milk and 1-2 bowls of milk drenched cereal. Followed by butter on toast. 

 Snack- Cheese stick, or granola and yogurt. Mmmm.. 

Lunch- ham and cheese sandwich with another glass of milk and mayo-- oh sweet mayo. Usually accompanied by a cheesy potato chip here (don't judge me.. who doesn't love a nacho doritos?) 

Snack- either frozen gogurt on a hot day, or a bowl of cottage cheese and peaches. 

Dinner- Creamy enchiladas, any noodles with white sauce, or any casserole topped with cheese- oh and lasagna, manicotti, and frozen yogurt with the kids was our favorite weekly treat. 

Enter April- Got REALLY sick. Like puke my guts out twice in the morning and still take my kids to the park because the day ain't getting any better kinda sick. Hives, and massive lists of GI problems- which I will spare you. Totally thought I had food poisoning or picked up something nasty from the hospital. 

Got checked out by the doctor- who thought since it started the weekend of Carla's funeral it could've been stress. Then the test came back- positive to milk allergy. MILK ALLERGY? who the junk gets allergic to milk at 29? really? what kind of KARMA did I cross? But it gets better- only slightly allergic. So I should be ok in moderation. 

Moderation-- went out the window a long time ago. Seems the only thing that can keep it at bay is total milk abstinence. Even then something still sets me off about once a week. So there's gotta be something in the protein that's in other foods. I am REALLY hoping to get in to see a specialist- because living without you tasty foods- is simply not a permanent solution.

Halloween Catch-up!!

So I think next year I won't ask Charlotte what she wants to be till the day before- because asking a month in advance just made life chaotic.

First we were Cinderella-


Then there was the crazy I want to be the girl pirate "IZZY" from Jake and the Neverland pirates- which led to me searching through every tote in the garage looking for the right color purple pants, pink ruffled shirt, boots, and bandana (sorry no pic).

AS SOON as I had the outfit laid out we switched AGAIN.. to.. Tink-


While poor Penny had NO say in the matter, and this look says it all. :)


And after all the fuss-- who were we on the actual night?


So yeah- next year.. she gets to pick out of the dress up box the night before. But we sure had a fun time playing dress up- and she LOVES when daddy is the Prince :)

Catching up--

Is it really almost Halloween?? Nuts. It's been awhile.
I could attribute it to the fact that it's 9;30 and my 3 (yes I said 3) year old is still up, and the baby (excuse me toddler) is cutting more teeth- and the 2 nights a week I have been working this month, and the joy school, and the babysitting, and the life... THAT I LOVE. Just a thought. More blogs to follow- starting tomorrow. For tonight I sleep. FINALLY :)

Murphy's Stinking Law

So of course my watch breaks the same day as does the face of my phone. So it has service but no picture. So half the time I am dialing without unlocking the phone, and then it keeps beeping about text messages I am receiving and can't see... only to make me angry mind you. That in turn leads to me yelling at my phone and worried stares from passerbys.
It's AWFUL not knowing what time it is. I am always asking Adam (who dodged that bullet by leaving on vacation today) and I even made him give me his watch for my night shift on Sunday. SO- Should my friends out in the great web world be listening- please don't text me till tomorrow- or I might finally lose it and throw the phone off the balcony ato put both of us out of our misery. (oh- and unless I have your # memorized it'll be awhile before I call you- so you might have to email it to me.)
Goodbye wonderful world of texting keyboards, hello old razor I thought had become a kids only phone.
Oh-I am already having nightmares of the fight this will bring of takin "Charlie's phone" akin to the fight currently taking place because I am wearing her happy meal watch...

That's what Adam has cemented into Charlotte's vocabulary and thinking. But right about now with the near constant battle for attention and toys... and teething :) She's pulling only a slight lead on this guy.
