Dr Visits and More...

We have been crazy busy with doctors visits for the twins. Both are doing amazing. It is hard to believe that I am already planning their 2nd birthday. We will be participating in the March for Babies again this year and then having the twins birthday right after at Chucky Cheese. Wyatt will be fine, but I am scared Whitley might not like Chucky too much....we will see!!!

We have been traveling to Lubbock about every month for visits with the orthapedic surgeon as well as the other specialist we are seeing. Wyatt received Botox injections in January after fighting long and hard with insurance. They have truly worked and we have seen a big change. He now has the flexion and extension that he needs. Now we are continuing to stretch those little legs and trying to get him to walk. The doctor has prescribed him some braces and we are currently trying those out. However, I just went and bought him some "jumping jacks" shoes and I am hoping that will help too! It never hurts to try! We go back to the doctor again in March and I am anxious to see what they say!!!

Whitley is everywhere.....she is nonstop!!! She is very helpful at bringing her brother things though....which might be a reason he is not walking...haha!!!

18 Month Picture Post

Wow----how time flies! I want to apologize to those of you who follow my blog..........sorry for no posts since July!!!

Okay...maybe I can get our blogging life back on track. We went to the pediatrician yesterday for our 18-month checkup. The babies are doing amazing. Whitley is finally on the charts as far as her height.....so amazing.

Wyatt weighed in at 21.5 pounds. Whitley weighed in at 19.6 pounds. She is slowly closing the gap on Wyatt.

Whitley is now walking.......EVERYWHERE!!! It is so crazy to see a little person walk into a room where you are instead of crawl. Life is good!!!

Wyatt hasn't learned to walk on his own yet. We are praying that he learns from his sister soon! The pediatrician has referred us to a different pediatricac othorpedic surgeon for a second opinion. The doctor seems to think that it is just his prematurity that is keeping him from walking....we will see with time. He can walk great behind his lion....he just doesn't want to let go of it!!!

Whitley is still our wipee bandit. She can't seem to leave the wipes in the container.....she has to pull every single wipe from the container before she is satisfied.

Wyatt loves to share sunflower seeds with dad. He sits or stands right besides Jareds chair while he breaks open the seed....he loves them!!!

I cannot take a bath alone..........both babies insist that I need toys in the bathtub with me. So they take it upon themselves to load the tub down with bathtoys while I am in it. If I am lucky.....I even get the basket!!!

We are definitely busy..........but not complaining. Life is fun!!!

Picture Overload

We have had a such a busy summer....and we enjoying every minute of it! I am sorry for the picture overload...but I do hope that you enjoy.

Okay...so lets get to the kids! Life is beginning to get a little hectic now...I have to admit! Both babies are pulling up constantly to things and walking around...just a matter of time before they find out they can actually let loose and walk. Whitley has definitely learned to climb stairs though. She is pretty good at it too!!!

I often use their wagon as a playpen/toy box. I put toys in the middle and they take turns bending down to get them. However, Miss Whitley has learned to hit. I do not know where she got this from....but she can!!!

They are both little water dogs. However, Wyatt seems to enjoy the water a little more than Miss Whit! He loves to splash and play.

Wow!!! Seriously...I am so sorry for not posting. Our life has been so crazy and not having very good internet service does not help either.

Lets see...this blog is mainly to post some pics of our two little miracles...but I will update you with some happenings as well.

I guess that I am just now finding time to sit down and post because my parents have the kids for the week. They were so excited to keep them....and it really helped us out! This is my last week of school and I am trying to get everything together there. I have spring cleaned my house and placed things at a higher level for the twins. I have slept...slept...and slept. I have washed lots of clothes. Me and Jared have been swimming and fishing together....we have had a great time! However, I am ready to see the twins on Thursday!!!

Miss Whitley is wearing a size 3 diaper, has 6 teeth, can get anywhere in the house she wants to get, loves to smile at anyone, tends to be a mommas girl out in public, loves to walk holding your hands, is now getting hair, will not keep any bows in her hair, loves to throw all the toys out of the toy box, is now pulling up to everything, and is happy to be her!!!

Mr. Wyatt is wearing a size 4 diaper, has to wear a Night-time diaper to bed, loves to laugh, loves to ride his lion, loves to go for rides in the wagon, has 5 teeth, is now on whole milke, will eat anything in sight, tends to be the more laidback child in public, will go to anyone, misses his camoflage cap that he threw out of the wagon in Luckenbach, loves to watch Whitley, loves Wonder Pets on Nick Jr., loves to dance, and loves the babysitters daughter NICOLE.

We are planning on spending most of the month of June in the Panhandle. Hopefully I can make more posts this summer, since I will be closer to internet service. Enjoy the pics for now.YI---one year ago tomorrow we were able to "room in" with Wyatt before welcoming him home. What a blessing he has been.

The twins first birthday bash was a success and super fun! We want to thank everyone for all of the sweet cards, gifts, comments, thoughts, and prayers. We have truly been blessed. Thank you!!!

We had lots of family and friends attend the birthday bash at the state park. It all started around 2 in the afternoon. We had a big brisket dinner with all the trimmings. I think everyone enjoyed themselves because there wasn't too much left afterwards (less for us to clean up). We enjoyed everyones company before showing a slideshow of the twins from birth to now. It was neat for everyone to see how far our little miracles have come. It was hard for some to see....but everyone managed to make it through (some with not so dry eyes!) After the video, we let the babies dig into their personal cakes. Wyatt loved it....Whitley however didn't know what to think. I think she was a little overwhelmed with so many people being there...but she dig into her cake a little. Miss Bridget (their babysitter) came to the celebration. We were so happy to have her family their with us. She loves the babies and the babies love her as well! Miss Whitley was so upset (I think more tired than anything) so Bridget just took over her. I didn't mean for her to babysit at the kids birthday party....but she loved every minute of loving on the babies. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful person caring for our kids.

After eating cake and taking a bath in the sink, we sat down to open up presents. The babies got so many fun things. We won't have to buy clothes for a long time...thank you to all!!!

Family was able to stay with us Saturday night and we all went to church on Sunday for Easter. I think we doubled the congregation that day (haha)!!! We then came back to the SP to eat Easter lunch before everyone headed out.

However, family ended up staying even later due to a tragic accident at the lake. Jared and his dad were busy all day Sunday....and they were not able to leave town until around 5! I am just so thankful that Jared has his dad here to help him through the day.

On Monday, I took the babies to Odessa for one year shots. They did very well! My mom had to go with me because Jared had to stay to finish cleanup at the lake. I really wanted him to go but know he needed to stay. Thank to my mom for helping us out! I couldn't have done it without them.

Here are some stats:

Wyatt weighs 18 pounds even and is in 12 month clothes. Whitley weighs 15 pounds 7 ounces and is in 9 month clothes. Both babies are in size 3 diapers. They do not like baby food...they would rather eat what is on our plate. They love scrambled eggs for breakfast. They have been approved by the pediatrician to be put on whole milk....but I am waiting a couple of weeks for that since I don't want to make a trip to Austin on milk (formula will be so much easier)!!! Wyatt has four teeth and Miss Whit only has two. They are both army crawling...sometimes really crawling....they can get anywhere they want to go!!! Whitley can sit up really well on her own....Wyatt can too but his butt is a little to round for him to stay up too long!!! They love CHESTERS PUFFERCORN!!!! It is the most amazing snack ever.....and it puts fat on them!!!

We had an awesome spring break.....but we are so glad to be back home in our own beds. I think the kids were just as ready as I was. They were not sleeping too well the last few nights of their spring break....but once we got home, things changed. I am not saying that they are sleeping through the night...but they are sleeping better.

We were able to go to Childress and see Granny and Grandad for a few nights. We also enjoyed seeing several other friends that we havent' seen in a while. While in Childress, the twins got their pictures made. I can't wait to get them back and post some for the rest of you to see. Ericka Moore did a great job and I look forward to seeing the final product.

The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous. We have been taking the babies outside when the weather allows (it's not too windy) and they love it. We put both bumbos in the wagon since I don't trust them in those wagon seats.

On to other good news, Miss Whitley is sitting up on her own. It is still a little scary to leave her but she is doing awesome!!! Wyatt can do it if he leans forward...haha!!!!

Both Miss Whit and Wyatt are army crawling. The babysitter did tell me that Miss Whit did crawl at her house yesterday.....HOW COME I ALSO MISS THIS STUFF????

They are both eating like crazy. They love mum-mums, Chester Puffs, cereal, spanish rice, potatoes, and whatever else we give them. They are just like little birds.....they know when food is coming there way and they open their mouths....SO CUTE!!!!

We are headed to the pediatrician's office right now for Synagis shots. I will let you know what they weigh!!! I am shooting for 15 for Whit and 18 for Wyatt....we will see!

It is hard to believe that our little miracles will be 1 in 3 weeks!!! WOW!!! We are planning a big celebration at the state park. It is going to be so much fun to celebrate with all the wonderful people who made this year possible. I will post the cute invite soon!!!!

Happy Birthday Honey

Me and Jared have sure enjoyed our past few days together. We are so blessed to have family that truly cares and that can help out as much as they do. Even though we may not live in the same town as them, they are willing to do whatever they can to make our lives easier. Thanks to everyone for caring so much--Oma, Opa, Granny, Grandad, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Friends.....!!!!!

With that said....Oma and Opa came down last weekend. We had a great weekend of visiting with them. Me, Oma, and Miss Whit all went shopping for the kids summer clothes on Saturday. I am happy to announce that I purchased 12 month attire for both kids....we are moving on up!!! On Monday, Oma and Opa took both kiddos back with them for a few days.

Me and Jared have had so much fun these past few days. We have missed our kiddos dearly and it has been very different around our house. We are trying not to dwell on the fact that we miss them so badly, but we are trying to get the most out of every minute together. We have had three full nights of sleep so far. I say full......except for when I wake up because it is way to quite and I can't hear the moaning of the baby monitor in my ear. We have had more fun together these past few days. We have joked so much and are able to take the jokes. Before, we both seemed so stress due to lack of sleep it was hard to enjoy each others company.

Yesterday was Jared's 28th birthday. We went to Midland after I got out of school. We spent a little time shopping together (yes....Jared went shopping). Then we met up with some great friends from Midland for dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. We had a great time and it was truly a spur of the moment trip....just like old times.

Today....we are planning on getting out in the yard and cleaning up the pickup....washing, waxing, cleaning out the inside, etc. I will be heading to Plainview tomorrow to be with the kiddos again. Our spring break starts tomorrow....YIPPPEEE!!!
