Nauvoo

We graciously accepted plane tickets from Papa and Mimi to meet everyone in Nauvoo, Illinois for a Snelson family reunion! 

Grant was very helpful at pushing Ellory (and all their blankets and animals) around the airport while we juggled all the luggage and Rockwell:)

We flew into the small town of  Moline, IL where we stayed in a hotel and enjoyed the pool and free breakfast!

the next morning, we drove about an hour to our fancy rental home in Nauvoo! We had the best seats in town, with the temple directly across the street from us.

 the next day, we met up with family and enjoyed a hot, sweaty day in downtown.

Turtle answers

We were having one of those mornings where the kids all seemed to be extra cranky and me extra impatient- not a good combination...so we were outside in hopes the fresh air would help soothe us all when grant spotted this little turtle emerging from our vines in the backyard. What a heavenly distraction!

We were excited to watch him walk from the back to front yard, cross the street and wander into our neighbors tree clump, when i would pick him up and put him back in our yard to watch him wander over again.

When we came in for lunch and naps, I found myself thinking about that little turtle and feeling completely over come with a feeling of God's love for me, for us. Such a simple little reminder but so powerful. While I was kneeling in prayer to thank heavenly father, grant came to ask me something and we were able to have a lovely discussion of god's awareness and love for us:)
