Oh Mackenzie...funny girl
Mackenzie is the funniest girl you will ever meet!! This girl eats from the time she wakes up in the morning until she goes to bed at night. (She often gets a bottle in the middle of the night too). One Sunday afternoon Luke wrote the words "FAT" on her t shirt with a marker. She went around the house awhile before I even noticed it. It's when she was eating a chocolate chip cookie that I noticed her shirt. I needed a good laugh. LOL

Dance Force
This year Hailey has been taking a dance class and she lvoes it! On this particular day it was parent observation day. Hailey was so excited we were all there to see her. She is so stinkin' cute!!! She is also a very good dancer. Just look at her form!

Brynlee's Debut
Most of our kiddos came at 37 weeks. So when my 37 week mark came and WENT with Brynlee, I was just blown away! I began to think Brynlee was never going to come out. I walked, jumped on the trampoline, ate Mexican food...basically I tried everything (no castor oil...I drew the line there). Part of me just wanted her out, but then part of me wanted her to stay put as long as possible b/c that meant Luke would be home from Afghanistan longer.
Quick review on Luke. He was to deploy for 4 months. This meant he would miss Halloween, Ammon's birthday, new baby's birth, Thanksgiving, and Christmas...you know...the best part of the year that has all the fun holidays. I put on my big girl panties though and kept telling myself I can do it, I can handle it. Well, he surprised us by coming home JUST for the birth. Fast forward 3 months and he is still here. :) He needed surgery, and really, the Lord just knew I needed I him here to help me with 4 kids. We dealt with lots of sickness, me not bouncing back to my chipper myself after Brynlee, just lots of craziness. I'm so grateful for him and all the help he has been.
Ok, so back to Brynlee. At 40 weeks...her due date..Nove 16th, we walked into the hopsital to have our sweet girl. We were late of course, but made it. My pictures got way out of order, sorry. You get the idea though. So we arrive at 6am. Within 30 minutes, I was all prepped. Things went pretty fast. I will say having c sections is not the natural way to have a baby, but it is fast. I was wheeled into the OR and Dr. Stewart was there waiting for me. When Brynlee came out, she was screaming her head off!!! The first thing I heard Dr. Stewart say was, "Oh wow, she is a baldy". All of our kids were born with a little bit of hair. It's usually a little dark and over the next few weeks, it all falls out. Not with Brynlee, she was born with NO hair. There is nothing better than kissing a sweet bald head that smells heavenly. I wanted to soak in every moment of her birth, b/c I knew this would be our last baby .

Spent the first few weeks just doing this. This is the best feeling ever! I love being a Mom!

Our last family photo of 5
So this is it...the next family photo we take there will be a tad bit skinnier Mommy with a sweet new baby girl in our arms.
I also need to blog about the new baby's name. For most of my pregnancy we have been calling my belly Taylor. About 3 days before we had her, Luke told me that maybe she wasn't coming out b/c she didn't like her name. What??!! Surprising enough, I was ok with changing her name. But to what? Luke has named every single baby we have had and when he says the name and I know it's suppose to be that, I cry. When we decided on Taylor, the tears never came, but I liked it anyway. Back when we made our list of girl names, Brynlee was on there, but we never really talked about that name. So, Taylor it was. We were driving home one afternoon and Luke said what about Brynlee? I the more I thought about it, the more I liked it, no..I LOVED IT! When I said Brynlee Reese aloud the tears came! So it was official, Brynlee Reese. The poor girl though, for the first week of her life we all called her Taylor out of habit!

When I was younger I would get into lots of trouble just for the looks I would give my parents. It looks like Mackenzie has inherited this quality from her Mama!!
I'm sure we told her NO for something. These sad faces soon turn into mad faces, and then the 2 year old temper tantrums begin! She stomps her feet and then lays down and the rolling around starts. Its such a great site to see!

Tae Kwon Doe
Ammon took it really hard when Luke deployed this year. I won't go into all the details, but he really really missed Luke. I was at a loss when it came to cheering him up! So...I let him play too much wii, let him sleep in my bed almost every night, and bought him way too many treats. Then, he asked to take Tae Kwon Doe. The hours of this class are hard on us. It's 3 days a week from
7:00-7:45pm!! You try doing that with a gigantic pregnant belly, chasing an almost 2 year old, and it's right at bed time that the class starts!!! But, I gave in and I signed him up. It was just what he needed. He is so good at it and he loves going to class. It make me so happy to hear him tell me how much he loves TKD after each class. So, that makes it worth it! These photos were taken when he was a white belt, now he is a yellow belt!! Just look at his smile in this first photo!!!
