Okay so I was only 2 month for another post rather than a year, so I'm doing better right? I can't believe its October. Things are going great at the Price home. The count down is on, only one week of Football left and then I will have a husband again! Don't get me wrong I love Football season, but I also really love when its over. It gets old when Eric works until after 10pm 4-5 nights a week.
Good news! We finally got our Kitchen finished last week, it only took 3 months of no floor, painting, and refinishing cabinets. It looks great and I'm so glad its done. Eric finally agreed that the day was not going to come in the near future that he was going to have the time to lay tile so we finally hired some guys from our ward to come and lay the tile. It was worth every penny and again, I'm so glad its done. (I'll add pics later cause whenever its clean I don't think to take any but I will soon).
Allie is loving preschool and learning so much. Its crazy how fast she has grown. I just sent some pics of her to my little brother Phil (who is currently a missionary in California). His response to how big she was, was "wow she is like a little person now" and "she's a chick" and he is exactly right. She thinks she's like 15 and always tells me the radio is not loud enough in the car while we listen to Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift (her two current favorites). She wants to be just like my little sister Stacie (17) and is always telling me to do her hair like Stacie and saying things like "Stacie would like this outfit mom".
We carved pumpkins for the first time in my kids lives on Monday night. (I know, Allie has been alive for 5 Halloweens and this was the first pumpkin carving and that officially makes me a bad mom, oh well I'll deal with it). Bella was so funny she wouldn't even consider helping because "it's soooo gross inside that thing". She would daintily put her spoon into the pumpkin and pretend that she was pulling something out. Of course I got stuck with the hard part of the job.... cleaning out the pumpkin. Dad got the easy part, carving it. The kids were both adamant that it had to be a happy- not scary- pumpkin. They are both going to be "good witches" for Halloween and can't wait for trick or treating. I will try and post pics of their costumes next week.

First post this year
I have been awful at keeping up with this blog and I'm going to try and work harder to keep it up to date. A lot has happened sense our last post (as it has been over a year). I don't want to spend my entire day writing so I will just highlight a few events this past year.
In September we experience our first Hurricane, Ike. We had some good friends that lived in a mandatory evacuation area come and stay with us. As the Hurricane approached my dad called telling us that he thought that we should also evacuate, we were out to dinner when he called. We all discussed what we should do and opted that we would find a hotel room further north. We came home to find that we had a leak in a wall and our house was not in a condition that we could leave it for an unknown amount of time. We changed our minds and opted to board up the house and stay. It was an experience of a life time that I would never want to relive. We were very blessed and only had minimal damage (we attributed that to the fact that my brother and our guests son had just went into the MTC a few days before the storm) . We had a fun time with our friends that evacuated to our house although we were a little cramped (we had 8 adults and 2 kids in out 1600 sqft house). We were also very lucky that we only had to go 17 hours with out power. There were only about 10 families in our ward that had power that soon. (we know people within a 1/2mile of our house that went 21 days without power).
We made a last min. trip to Utah for Christmas! It was so much fun. We decided that we should go because my moms entire family was going to be together for the first time in years. Eric's youngest brother had just went into the MCT a few days before we got to Utah and we felt that his mom would enjoy having us around as she was going to have an empty nest for Christmas.
In April my parents came to visit. We had so much fun. A few days into the trip we went down to the area that Eric and I grew up in to visit our friends that stayed with us during the Hurricane. Shortly after we arrived at their house it started raining. We didn't think much about it until my mom walked past the front window and saw our van covered it water. The insurrance declared it a total loss. It was kinda sad.
In July we opted to make another last min trip to Utah as we didn't really have anything keeping us home. Eric was not working for the summer and we were getting board being home all time so Eric suprised me for my birthday and said he would make the drive again. We got to spend about three weeks there and we bought Eric a truck, which he was so thrilled about.
Two weeks ago Eric's parents drove out his truck and stayed for a few days. The kids had so much fun with grandma and grandpa. They were in grandkid heaven for a few days. We are gearing up for school to start next week. Eric is still the Athletic Director at his middle school and he loves it. The girls and I are looking forward to another fun football season watching "daddy's boys" play twice a week. Allie will be starting preschool and is so excited to go. She asks every day how much longer until she gets to go to school. A few months ago as I was signing her up for preschool I was telling her about it and she looked at me and said "mommy I don't think I want to go to school, can't I just go work at Jack-in-the-box instead". It was really cute.

Makeup!!
Today Allison put makeup on Bella. It was waterproof mascara, and it make a mess. I showed Bella how she looked in the mirror and told her that it was an ukky mess and she pointed at herself and said ukky baby ukky baby. It was really cute. We also had the sister missionaries over for dinner and the girls love them. Allie prays daily "bless the missionaries that they can come eat with us". While they were here they kept trying to steal the sisters name tags so they each put one on and we took pictures. How cute is that?

Allies Birthday
Today was allies third birthday, and it was a ton of fun. She started the day off by waking up bright and early (6:30 am). She came and climbed in bed with me. She snuggled up to me and then she started laughing. I looked at what she was laughing at, she saw her birthday presents in my closet and realized today was finally the day she has been waiting weeks for.
We let her open her out fit from Grandma Shirley and as soon as she got it on she said "I wook amazing". She "helped" me bake the cake and then daddy took her to lunch at McDonald's. She then spent the afternoon at work with daddy so that mom could get ready for her party. While she was gone grandma Kari and Stacie called her and sang her happy birthday. She thought it was great. She then informed them that her party was starting soon and that they better hurry and get here for it. Then she hung up on them. When I explained that grandma and stacie are too far away to come to the party she asked if we were going to be at grandmas house for my birthday. I told her yes and she asked if I could have a Dora cake like her! So grandma you better start baking a Dora cake or you will have one sad granddaughter.
Her party was fun. We had a few friends over for a BBQ and then the kids went on a Dore treasure hunt. So allie is now three, the party was fun my house is a wreck and I'm so tired.
Remember that Bella is having her surgery on Tuesday so keep her in your prayers. We love you all and will hopefully see most of you soon!!

Good News!
So I am not very good at keeping up with this but I'm going to be more diligent. Quarterly Enrichment is over so I have my life back again for a few months!! We have good news. Last week Eric was promoted to Athletic Coordinator at his school. He is really exited and we think it will be a great experience for him.
The girls are doing well. They went swimming today and thought it was the greatest thing ever. Every time that we have driven past the neighborhood pool the past two months they beg to go. Bella's main topic of the day has been "wim wim kick kick" (translation swim swim kick kick). She screamed with it was time to go. Allie was telling Eric about her trip to the pool but couldn't remember the word for pool and was telling him that we went to the pond to swim.
I am going to post a few pictures of our most recent trip to the zoo (we have a season pass and go almost weekly). We went with Allie's "boyfriend" Jackson and his little sister Ashlin (she is Bella's age). They got to go for a ride on the carousal and they thought that was absolutely wonderful.
Anyway we are doing great and counting down the days until Eric's summer vacation (2 1/2 weeks!!). We are going to try and make it out to Utah sometime in the middle of June and stay for a few weeks.
Oh ya, Bella was supposed to have her eye surgery today but (yes of course another but) the hospital called and the doctor needed to reschedule. So we are now looking at June 10th (and it better happen that day because if it doesn't I will have to pay our deductible again). And when we get that done we are planning on heading out to Utah. We love and miss you all have a wonderful week and we will post again next week (I promise).

FIRE!
So Sunday I started my first kitchen fire. I was broiling bread to make bread crumbs and put the wrack too high. Before I knew it the house was full of smoke. I ran to the oven and found all the the pieces of bread on fire. We got it out no problem. It seems that it made a really be impact on our little Allie. Last night she was playing in her Fisher Price kitchen. She put a pan in her little oven, opened it and started yelling "Fire! Fire! get out of the house!!!". It was so funny!!!

Bella
Bella's new favorite word is "nana tana" which mean Hannah Montana. The other day she woke up from her nap and she had been playing toys when she brought me the remote and started asking "nana tana". I asked her if she wanted to watch Hannah Montana and she said "ya, ya, ya" and started clapping. I told her she was to little to like Hannah Montana.
She was scheduled to have eye surgery on March 18. The night before she got a stomach virus and we had cancel. So it will for sure happen on May 13th. Keep her in your prayers.

Allie is always singing! As I write she is singing BINGO and standing on an upside down rubber made box. She is full of her typical energy.
Last week we were planting a garden in the backyard. I told her that we were going to plant tomatoes and she thought that was a great idea! We took a break for lunch. I got a tomato out of the fridge for a sandwich. Next thing I new, she was in the backyard with the tomato ready to plant it!!!
