My sister Jodi also sent Michael a remote-control car which he loves, especially when he figured out the remote control for it. This is a picture of him before realizing the remote. Grammy & Granddad gave Brittany & Michael a coloring easel....well....Michael just climbed right into it. It's his very own tent!

Our little Princess

For Christmas, Brittany received a "dress-up" outfit from my sister, Jodi. Well, it was quite the hit with her! She loves it, and wears it most of the time now. Michael was curious, so he put on the crown, purse and magic wand (he didn't like the shoes).

Building train tracks...

These are pictures of the kids building their own train track. We knew Michael enjoyed figuring out things, but it was a surprise to find Brittany enjoyed putting things together too! They do this periodically now and for some reason they find the hallway is the best place for a track!

Disneyland during Thanksgiving...

So, we are a week away from Christmas and I finally have some free time to post some pictures from Thanksgiving, family reunion and Disneyland (all in the same week).

Michael loves bears and stuffed animals, especially Pooh. While Lynn and Krista watched Brittany and Michael for us (so we could go on a big ride), they killed the time by going into a store. Apparently, Brittany and Michael made themselves comfortable.

More Disney...

Here are some pictures on the carousel with the cousins.

Brittany was a little disappointed in this carousel. You see, we went to Balboa Island two days before hitting Disneyland, and the kids rode the carousel there. Well, it was a very, very fast one, and Brittany loved it! She couldn't stop laughing and saying, "I'm going fast!" So, the one at Disney was a little too slow for her.

Halloween

I know, I know...Halloween?! It's almost Thanksgiving! Well, it has been a little busy here lately in trying to get ready for the Hatch reunion, a 50th wedding anniversary and Thanksgiving (all of which are in the same week). So, a few things had to give and updating the blog was one of them (as well as house work -- I can't remember the last time I truly cleaned my floors. I did get to dust and vacuum yesterday...yeah!).

Anyway, here are some pictures from Halloween. Brittany is becoming quite the ham in taking pictures. They both loved their costumes!

This is Brittany and Brady, one of her friends, at the ward party. Brady and Michael kept chasing each other around, and Brady kept calling Michael "Superboy". It was pretty funny!

Outside fun

They love playing outside especially with their new chairs.

Brittany loves having pigtails in her hair! She thinks they are "funny".

What's Michael "UP" to?

They have a new playhouse which they absolutely love! They also have new "cars" to go with the house.

Michael is still climbing...a lot! While getting ready one day, Brittany ran into my room with her mouth covered in chocolate to inform me that Michael gave her a "treat"! This is what I found when getting to the kitchen. It wasn't so much as the fact he got into the "treat" can, but that the knives were too close for comfort!

Michael loves to wrestle with Brittany; however, she usually doesn't like it. Last week, though, while I was preparing breakfast they just started wrestling and loving it! It was pretty funny.

Who Needs Toys?

Upon receiving their diapers a few weeks ago, they found the boxes very useful. I was cleaning the kitchen when Brittany ran into the kitchen and with all the enthusiasm of a 2-year old told me they were going down a slide. Hmmm, I was a little scared to actually go into the dining room and see what "damage" had been done in order to create a slide. This is what I found....they converted one of their boxes into a slide by mashing it. They loved it! This entertained them for quite awhile.

First Cold Day

Last week, it finally cooled down here...yeah! It was even cold enough in the mornings to have the kids wear their coats! They loved it. Brittany dressed herself in this picture.

Ahhh, the counter...we wondered how long it would take for them to figure out how to move the chairs over to the counter. They initially thought it was fun to watch me; however, they figured out how to get into the "treat" jar! I had to move it.
They love hats! Brittany prefers to wear hers backwards...very cute!
