Salem Ponds for the 4th!

On July 4th we went over to Salem ponds and meet up with Averett's for some fun! Alex loved going for a ride in the boat with Alyssa and Daddy!

 Say HI!

 

 He was confused when daddy got out of the boat and thought about joining him for a minute but then decided to just stay in the boat instead!

 

He was trying to help daddy row! ;D

 

We had a great time having a picnic and then playing in the water! Thanks for planning and inviting us along! Was a great way to spend the morning on the 4th!

 

After that we went to a BYU soccer game that night and then stayed there to watch the fireworks. Alex loved the game and even did pretty good with the fireworks. He got a little scared at times when there was really loud booms but all in all he had fun!

 

 

7 Peaks!

Since we have the pass of all passes Tia and Scott invited Alex and I to come to 7 Peaks with them! We had a lot of fun.

I was very thankful to Tia and Scott for helping to entertain and keep up with Alex! I was having a hard time keeping my energy up to go down and around all the places that Alex wanted to.

 He loved going down this slide all by himself! It was the first time that he had done a water slide on his own! Tia took him up to the top and Scott was there to catch him at the bottom!

 Of course just doing it one time would NOT work! As soon as Alex hit the bottom he would start saying "again, again, again!"

Daddy's Big Helper!!

Jeff started to move all our wood off the back porch so Alex jumped right in and started carrying what he could over too! He was so excited and happy to be helping Daddy!

 

 He even kept stopping and posing for pictures! :D

 

 

 

Art City Days Parade

Next was the parade! Alex was having fun waving to all the different people and floats as they passed!

 

 Was so excited to get candy too!! He would actually go out and get it this time!

 

He was SOOO excited when a tracker was pulling one of the floats!

Grandma Poulson, Cheyenne, Hallie, Leilah, and Greyson were able to come and join us too! We had a blast and hope you guys enjoyed it too!

Art City Days Balloons

For Art City Days they have lots of hot air balloons that you can ride in... but you have to be super early to sign up for them and then wait for a while so we decided to just go and watch them! :D Alex loved it!

 So fascinated by the balloons up in the air already! He kept pointing to them!

 He got a balloon of his own to play with and was super happy!

 

He loved getting to ride on daddy's shoulders too! And thankfully it wasn't all that cold either. :D We had a good time watching them go up. But you couldn't get too close when they were blowing the fire into them otherwise Alex would freak! He didn't like how loud that was.

New Back Door!

We finally found a back door that will work! We had been looking in the stores trying to find something we liked that wasn't a fortune! We were also watching KSL. Jeff found a few that had a sliding door instead of two that open. But they were the wrong sides or didn't quite look like what we wanted. We wanted to get a sliding door so we could have a screen and since we never use the other side anyway we were fine getting one that only opened on one side.

Unfortunately we had a few glitches. One being that it was just a bit too big and heavy for just Jeff to lift and I wasn't any help so we needed somebody else to come help. Thankfully Scott was available on short notice to come give him a hand.
The second problem being that it didn't quite fit. Off by an inch. Just enough that they couldn't muscle it in and had to re-cut and somehow rig something different so it would fit. I'm not really sure what they finally did to get it to work, I wasn't paying to much attention, but they finally got it in.

Finally in! Now just cosmetic touch ups left!! :D

Not sure where the final picture that I took of it went after everything was done so I'll have to take it again and add it later.

Flowers Flowers Everywhere

Planting time again! Jeff got our flower baskets and flower beds all planted with such beautiful flowers. I loved seeing them all!

I need to take some after pictures of all of it now. Our baskets are so pretty and overflowing! All the plants just took off and grew so well for us! I loved how everything looked!
