Camp Castletonia

We went to Camp Castletonia last week in Logan.  It was held at Mom and Dad's house and it was oh so fun!  The kids even got to camp in tents in the backyard (they loved it -- of course!).

Unfortunately, not all the Castleton kids could make it to the reunion, but it was fun to see those who made it.

Dad had the kids make boats to race down the river and then they spent hours tubing down.  Who knew that 5 tubes could provide hours of entertainment?  Apparently Grandma and Grandpa knew -- Those reunion geniuses!

The cousins put on their annual play.  This year was Beauty and the Beast.  The kids found out which families were coming and then had those kids submit an audition video before parts were assigned.  This was serious business!

We spent one morning playing soccer and kickball at the university.  Rachel, Hallie, Anna, and Sky loved beating the grownups at soccer.  They were truly impressive with their control and passing skills.  It was really fun to watch.  There was also an epic game of capture the flag.

 The kids could hardly stand the thought of going home (of course).  We had such a great time!  Hooray for Camp Castletonia!!!

It has been about a zillion years (totally accurate) since my last post.  Too much has happened to fill you in completely, so I'll just move forward from now.

Summer has been so much fun so far!  We've been swimming almost every day.

 We went to Vernal and hiked around Dinosaur Land

 Spent a few days in Las Vegas with Steve and Andy.  We went and watched the finals for the show American Ninja Warrior.  So fun!!

 (The kids had some quality time with Nick and Heidi's family.  They loved spending a few days together.)

 Jon's birthday was celebrated with a special breakfast, presents, and a magic show presented by Kale, Sky and Jax.

 We have had soccer games to our hearts content.  Both Rachel and Hallie's teams took first in the Ogden Peaks Classic tournament.  Wahoo -- way to go girls!

And finally, the kids got to spend a whole week with Grandma and Grandpa while Jon and I went to Cabo.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa -- the kids loved being with you guys!

 Oh yeah!  This little baby who keeps popping up in our family pictures is Jade.  She was born April 21, 2016, and she is the best little baby ever!  We love her so much and are so glad she's part of our family!

 I promised Jon I would try to be more adventurous on this vacation (I'm usually too scared to try anything new).  So we did zip-lining, rock climbing, and repelling.

 We swam with a dolphin, which was way cool.  We don't have any pictures of us with the dolphin because they cost like $200 to buy, so we secretly snapped this picture of another group.  It was so cool.

 We went for a camel ride, which was something we had never heard of. 

 It was so boiling hot every day in Cabo.  When we got home from our activities at night, we would get showered and all ready to go, then we went on a dinner date every night.  It was such a fun and relaxing vacation.
