Yes... i'm back in Malaysia... specifically kuching.... oh lovely kuching... and folks... Kuching Airport is no more 'pudu' hehe... now it's like WOW!!!! I could not believe my eyes when i landed in the airport... it's very different now... so kathleen dun say kuching airport sucks anymore... and Jane faster come back kuching la... :-P

Already back since two weeks ago... life has been great back home except for the fact that i have to do elective... haih... if only i dun need to do all this.... so ya... i'm doing my 8 weeks long elective in Malaysia... very long elective posting.... been moving around 2 weeks recently... from Orthopaedics to Paediatrics... been seeing a lot and standing around a lot... sees lots of people... talked to many people... proved myself to be stupid many times in front of other people... :-( time to brush up la.... haih... anyway.. comparing UK teaching and Malaysian (UNIMAS) teaching... Below are the differences....
1. UNIMAS students need to deliver 10 babies on their own and perform all the baby check and all la starting from 3rd year... UK student ( i mean me la ) din even get a chance to watch a delivery ... wat say in charge??
2. UNIMAS students is allowed to perform any procedure to the patients including stitching and preparing nebuliser... central line and etc... UK student ( me again) dun even get a chance to assist... how are we suppose to learn ... :-(

well... can't think of anything else for now.... but UK also not bad la... below are some advantages....
1. UK student get smaller teaching group (bedside teaching) compared to UNIMAS where 10 students each bedside session....
2. UK student dun have to wear labcoat in the ward... UNIMAS is compulsory to wear white coat no matter how hot it is .... But it would be nice if we get to wear white coat when the weather gets too cold.. hmmmm

To be fair i shall name only two.. :-P
