Countdown, two weeks from today! I go in early Tues morning the 28th to have my C-section and that day can't come fast enough. Sleeping is now most uncomfortable and I totally have the waddle down. I haven't ever been this uncomfortable before in my pregnancies, I must be old. : ) Each time I sit down for an extended period of time (like two minutes) and then stand to walk I have a serious waddle. She feels like she's sitting very low and the doctor checked and she has turned so I also get kicked in the ribs, added bonus. It's so hard to believe the time is fast approaching. I have so many things I want to do before she comes because I know how drastically life is going to change when she arrives. The list is long. The kids can hardly wait to hold their new sister. We explained a little last night that when mom comes home from the hospital they'll have to be careful with me and my owie. Keep your fingers crossed she makes it till the 28th (& I'll keep my legs crossed).
Just a fun card I did this month for our Stamp'n Up card exchange, thought I'd share. 
Most days fly by and I wonder what did I really accomplish? Yes a few loads of laundry, cleaned up the kitchen, fed the kids, cleaned a bathroom or two, etc. But what did I really do? Did I spend any quality time with my kids? Did I just send them out to play? And the answer is usually yes, I sent them out to play. But every once in a while we have a day that is just for the kids. Today was one of those days. Today we had cousins over and carved our pumpkins. We'd been planning this all week, and the day finally arrived. The boys would ask how many sleeps until they could make their pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns. We went to Albertson's to pick out our pumpkins, one thing I really miss about Washington is their pumpkin patches, none to really be found here. The kids still loved that they got to choose their very own. The boys thought they were strong enough to carry theirs but soon discovered the pumpkins they chose were just a little to big. They've been sitting on our door step for the last four days and anyone who comes by gets to see who's pumpkin belongs to who. 
Quinton has been planning his jack-o-lantern face since we got it. Triangle eyes, triangle nose, and triangle teeth. Weiland was still indecisive as was Ellie but both decided on their own faces. 
After pumpkins and since the kids didn't really have a lot of hands on time due to knives, we frosted Halloween cookies and ate them. Always a huge hit and a huge mess. The sprinkles are never the same after these kids have had their hands on them. 
Needless to say it was a good day and a good reminder to have fun with my kids and let the rest go for a day (or more).
First, how much I enjoyed conference. This year was the first year we were able to watch it in our own home. We've always had to rely on family to allow us in their home to watch before. And I have to say we don't create the most reverent atmosphere so thank you to mom and dad, Brad and Lacey, and Courtney and Aaron for putting up with us over the last like 4 years. The church's web site had a media player that worked for us and so we watched at home on the computer. We made the kids sit through the morning session this morning and surprisingly they did pretty well. I had copied a conference packet that my sister-in-law had emailed me and that really helped. Unfortunately the volume on the computer wasn't so great so they pretty much had to be silent for us to hear anything. It was great to hear the hope that each speaker gave to us in a world where there sometimes feels like there is none. Over all it was a wonderful two days of being uplifted. 
Second, (and this has nothing to do with the first)
Todd's cousin Erica has a recipe blog and I tried the lettuce wraps from her blog and oh my heck! They tasted just like the ones at PF Changs. So anyone who is a fan of them should totally try this recipe. It made a bunch too so I can eat these for a snack in the days to come and that makes me happy! Thank you so much Erica for sharing this and I'll be trying more recipes from your blog.

Ok I know this is my 4th child but one of my best friends threw me a baby shower anyway, which was really just a good excuse to throw a party. And did she throw a party!
