rocco's 7 month bday celebration: the swetsville zoo

what is it you may ask?? metal sculptures of dinos, robots, and anything else the artist thought about in his odd mind....outcome: extremely strange, refreshingly creative, and lots of fun :)

a small note: i have my blogs that i like to read every few days (my sister's, cousins, friends, and random amazing people) and after reading them i think "wow, aren't they super cool!?!" (in a sarcastic tone)...there are especially two women (aka mothers, superheroes, stars, goddesses, queens, i could go on) that make me sick! they're too perfect! even when something that would, to me, seem dull happens they make it fun and perfect! dang them!!!!!! welp, i realized that i too can have that same perfection...perfectly imperfect...my new motto for life....it's catchy and makes me oh so happy with myself :)

6 months

i decided to have a "monster bash" for rocco's 6 month birthday. we went to the mall to look at the halloween costumes, ate some monster cake, and watched The Hulk...it was gonna be Monster's, Inc. but me and isaac decided The Hulk would be better...it wasn't!

since isaac works so much, sundays are family days (which they should be anyways). it was a nice day so we decided to go to the best park in cheyenne. we fed the ducks my stale homemade wheat bread :), took rocco's 6 month pics, attempted taking some family pics on the camera's "self-timer" mode, and soaked in the cool breeze and warm sun.

funny moment of the day: me throwing a big piece of stale bread into the water so it could get soft for the duckies; instead, a big goose deciding to catch it mid-air and then start choking...oops! don't worry...it survived :)

it was windy...oh wait, it's always windy! ticks me off cause i've tried doing some family pics for the past month and it never works out cause my hairs always blowin' in my dang face! oh yeah, and the shorts...they're isaac's :) i'm stealing them and turning them into a skirt...i so hope it works.

no doubt

for some reason rocco loves no doubt! if i'm on my computer and he get's fussy i just turn on no doubt (especially this video) and he loves it. he's so gonna be punk when he's older, i just know it :). actually, now that i think about it, i used to listen to a lot of no doubt when i was pregnant with him...maybe that's why he likes 'em (just a thought).

and lastly, almost crawling. he really can crawl but for some reason i can't catch it on camera. all week he's been trying to crawl and this morning i put him down to play with his toys while i made isaac's lunch and all of a sudden he was grabbing my ankles. in total he crawled like 8 feet. i didn't get to witness it but i still was a proud mama!

and now we're hermits

it's official. it's too cold and too windy to go outside now so me and rocco are hermits until we get a 2nd car. here's the last pic i'll be taking of my babe outside for a long time...until it snows and i take rocco for his first tubing! :) wheee heeee heeeeeeeee!!!!

as i was going through my pics i saw tons of kai kai and i have to say, I MISS HER!! wwwaaaa :(

i miss her smiley face; chubby feet, hands, legs, arms, cheeks...; big blue eyes; and most of all her laugh

what i've been up to lately...

i've been scrapbooking since heritage makers added individual pages now. it's super fun and i'm so excited to get the pages in the mail. i already ordered one and they are so nice! i've only done rocco's month-to-month pics but i'm gonna get all caught up by doing everything up to the recent pics...that way i'm not way far behind like my mom who's just finishing all of the married kids baby books :) love ya mom! you gotta scroll the bar over to see all the pages...there's 6

Good Times, Good Times

so i was looking through all my old files (my computer needs a major cleaning and de-junking) and i found this video from our honeymoon in hawaii. watch the whole thing with the volume up :) it seems kinda long but it's worth it. a couple things happen: first, a peacock isaac named randy (don't know why, he just likes to name animals); second, a spider; and last (the funniest for me), "trapp-ded"

so wyoming is great! i miss everyone tons...especially the grandkids but i really like it here. rocco's missing his cousins super badly...especially kai kai...so i took him to the mall today to play with the other kids in the play area. he loved it! there was also a really cool pet shop there. rocco loves animals. he was laughing so hard and flailing his arms and legs at the ferretts cause they were jumping all over eachother and coming up to the screen to see rocco. one of the workers came up to us and asked if we wanted to see one of the puppies. she got one out (it was a yorkie-poo...yorkshire/poodle mix) and it was so tiny and cute. rocco loved it. he kept grabbing it and pulling it's hair and trying to kiss it. it was so stinkin' cute! i wanna get him a dog but unfortunately me no likey inside doggies :) he'll just have to wait.

i'll try and post some pics but i don't really have any i want to post. i don't have anyone here to hold rocco while i take pics so i end up with not getting anything :(

Passport

we're going to spain to see rocco's grandma in december and we need to get rocco his own passport so here's the pic for it...i had to post it cause i think it's so cute that he's gonna have his own passport

me and rocco went to visit my best friend oanh in provo. she spent the summer in florida for an internship and i missed her tons! good thing: she met a guy there that she's head over heels for...bad thing: they're gettin' hitched and she's gonna move back there. waaahhh!!! :(

this is rocco's jack-jack picture...you know, from the disney movie "the incredibles." that fo-hawk is natural i swear! i very rarely have pictures of me and my little one so i asked kobe (he's only 7) to take some pics and this is what he created...thanks kobe!


this is my fave cause of his huge smile...it's the best being a mom to the cutest kid in the world!
and one last thing...for those of you i haven't told, we're moving to wyoming this week. i'm super excited! we weren't supposed to go 'til february but the company said they need an office opened asap so we got a place and now we're so outta here :)

what a mean best friend :)

rocco has a best friend...she gives him snotty kisses, sits on his face when he's laying down, takes out his binky over and over again, and sometimes pokes his eyes...and yet he smiles and giggles everytime he sees her. kaiya, I love you!

my mom's backyard is right by the canal so me and rocco have our almost daily routine of feeding the ducks at dusk. this is rocco and lexus watching the ducks fight over the food.

4 months, Red Butte Gardens, & more of Amber

I LOVE MY LITTLE BOY!! he's so stinkin' cute...especially in his tie that he got from his cousin Kolo. these are his 4 month old pics :)
i so need a new camera...all my pics don't have the super sharp look to them anymore..maybe i just suck at focusing...naw, let's just blame it on the camera :)
i took rocco, kobe, and race to the red butte gardens at the u of u and it was super fun...the boys had a major water fight which i think ticked off the other moms but i didn't care...what, they're kids...they're supposed to get dirty! especially when they're outside!! the other moms were telling they're kids "ok, no more!" and "hey! stop!" and i was just sitting on the sidelines cheering them on...ok, not really. it was more like i was just ignoring the whole thing :) racey-boy doin' his supa-fly pose...he think's he's so tuff. kobe in the background with his fohawk...he's obsessed. he kept fixing it all day cause the water kept ruining it :) silly manilly :) probably my fave pic of the day...he looks like he's absolutely disgusted with the plant. maybe it poked him in the eye and now he's pissed :) here are some more of my lovely friend amberlove this pic...amber: "i look weird"
