I forgot my camera on Thanksgiving and thought that this was the next best thing : ).

And then, she died.....

So, the other day I hear Taylor having a rough time in her room, I come around th corner and see this....

Apparently, she had climbed over the end of her bed and had managed to get her pants stuck on the bed post and couldn't get it off, after taking many pictures and watching my brilliant daughter struggle for several minutes, I rescued her. Let just say, seeing this first thing in the morning....made my day : ).

Better Late Then Never!!!

So I realized this morning that it's been awhile since I've posted and now with Halloween over, I have some cute pictures to share. We celebrated the spooky evening with Eddie and Andrea. We went trick-or-treating with all the cousins and then Gar and I got to go out to eat to celebrate my b-day. Gar's been gone A LOT since it's midterms, so it was nice to get to have some time with him.

Oh yeah.....Gar was Chuck Norris for Halloween!

Thanks everyone!!! We're pretty dang excited since we've been patiently waiting for this one. I am a little over 10 weeks and my due date is May 20, 2009. So far so good, just hungry : ). Everything has happened so fast since we moved here.....maybe we should've moved here sooner : ). Gar's sister is also pregnant and her due date is May 8, so we're going to be pretty busy around here come spring time. It'll be super fun to have two little ones around again. Thanks again guys!!!

BUSY WEEKEND!!!

This past weekend was a blast!!! Our awesome family members(Eddie and Andrea) took the liberty of watching Taylor while Friday night Gar and I went to the Mansfield Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. Every year they make a HUGE haunted house out of it. If any of you have seen the movie the "Shawshank Redemption" it's the prison in that movie. And for those of you who don't know....it really is haunted!! Says TAPS from the series Ghost Hunters on the Sci-fi channel. When I took this picture my camera was working fine, so it's up to you...haunted or not?The next morning we met up with Andrea, Eddie, Thomas, Kent, Tori and their family and went to the Pigeon Roost Farm. It's this cute little farm that has a pumpkin patch, corn maze, lots of ridiculous gourds and tons of stuff to do for the kids. It was different, but fun to say the least.

It's not as bad as it looks......

So, the other day Taylor had a little accident. We just got back from the grocery store and being the cute little thing she is, she was holding the door open. Then her mother comes along and ruins everything....I pushed on the door and naturally all of her balance was on the door so she goes crashing down and catched herself with her forehead. After much screaming and pouting, she has finally forgiven me and life goes on.

Well, you can almost see the new bushes we just planted!

The best part is, that we have to wait for the city to come and pick all of this up.

All of you have heard about Hurricane Ike these past several days.....well, Ohio got some of the left-overs. On Sunday we were hit with 70+ mph gusts that pretty much blew over every tree in the whole state of Ohio. We were out of power for 2 days and there are still people in our area that don't have power yet. The governor considered this a state of emergency. We're all right, but unfortunately the tree in our backyard didn't make it as well as some big branches in the front yard. Here are some pictures of all the fun.

Well, here it is!!! This is from across the street. We just recently did some massive reconstruction of both yards. We trimmed the bushes, mowed the lawn and put that cute little wall around the tree. It's not much, but it's looks TONS better than it did.

Not that anyone of you could really tell, but this is the living room from the hallway. All the bedrooms are behind me.

Office/guest bedroom/whatever room. I didn't put our bedroom on because, sadly, it has been neglected the most this past week. Well, there it is. It's not much, but it's our new home. We're all doing very well and taking each day one at a time.

GOODBYE LARAMIE!!!!!

Hey guys, sorry it's been awhile. I had no idea that moving 1400 miles would be sooooo time consuming. Well, we've made it here safe and sound. Everything good so far. We're slowly getting to know the area(very slowly) and having loads of fun unpacking. For now I just have some photos of the move. I will show you pictures of our house so be patient with me. We will miss Laramie. We were there for 3 years, made some good friends and some excellent memories. Thanks for those of you that were so kind to me and my family. Take care : )

JELLO ANYONE?!!!!

So, this weekend we traveled to the booming metropolis of Hanna, Wyoming to see our dear friends, the Hendrick's, before we leave. They invited us over for dinner. Naturally, we asked if we could bring something, they said, "a dessert of some kind." This made Gar so excited because he has been wanting to make jello for quite some time(he found one of my cook-books that has nothing but jello recipes in it). I won't say anything becuase the pictures will tell all. It was a fun little trip and it was awesome to see that cute little family one more time. Taylor enjoyed playing with Aravis and Jericho. Thanks again for the awesome dinner Kinsey!!!

PIG-TAILS!!!!

Finally!!! It took over two years for Taylor to "allow" me to do anything to her hair. She woke up for chuch last Sunday and asked for pig-tails. She sat there and repeated pig-tails over and over again becuase I had this blank stare. I was in awe that she wanted her hair done. And on top of that, I also curled it!! Unfortunately, she has her mom's hair and it stayed curled for like a second. She also left it in all day!! I don't know where Taylor went, but I hope this is the start of something.
Also, she got her lego's out and made some "scultpures." From left to right: A temple, a house, a plate, a truck and my personal favorite, Aunt Andrea(aka E). Taylor loves her Aunt E : ).

MORE TRAVELING!!!

This past weekend we went to Gillette, WY where my brother Tom lives with his three boys. We weren't planning on going until I received a very convincing phone call(thanks Diane and Tom). It was good that we went. Taylor got to play with some cousins and it was good to see my siblings before we move. Thanks for the invite Tom!!! Now we're just going to try and relax here at home, save up some money and get ready for the move.

CAMPING, CAMPING, CAMPING!!!

The past couple weekends we decided to head to the out doors and went camping with the grandparents. We first headed to Fiddlers Lake where we paddled around in the canoe, roasted marshmallows and relaxed.We then went to Spirit Lake. When it wasn't raining, we paddled around in a raft, went hiking, and of course, roasted more marshmallows. Most of my family was there, so it was good to see them. Taylor met some second cousins for the first time and she had a blast playing around with them. And although it did rain a majority of the time, Taylor had a ton of fun.

TAYLOR IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!!

Well, it's official....we've been working on this potty training for quite sometime now and Taylor has finally gotten the hang of it! She has been going poo-poo in the potty by herself for about 3 weeks now, and she has been going pee-pee in the potty for about 1 week!! I am sooooo pumped! NO MORE DIAPERS!!!!! Sorry, for those of you who don't have kids yet(this will be a BIG deal one day) and for those of you who do, well you understand.

OUR HOUSE IN OHIO!!!!!

So, I figured while I had the camera out I would also post some pictures of our future home in Ohio. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the inside, but it's a 3 bedroom, 1 bath, it has a huge kitchen with a dishwasher and a mud room with washer/dryer hook-ups, central air and yes that is my backyard!! There's an elementary school just right up the street and we're about 3 miles away from Andrea and Eddie. We're just renting it, but I'm super-duper pumped to live here and can hardly wait for August 31st.

4th of July Fun!!!

For the 4th of July we headed to Riverton, WY to see the annual Bills fireworks(some rich orthodontic in Lander puts on a pretty impressive show). Meeting us there was Andrea, Eddie and Thomas, Brandon and Emily, and of course Everett, Amber, Grandma and Grandpa. Over all it was a pretty fun weekend!! We'll see how next year in Ohio compares.

Yep, I caved.....

Well, I figured that since we are going to be moving to Ohio this fall, this would be the easiest and most "smart" way to keep everyone who knows me informed of our lives. I've gotten pretty fond of these "blogs" and yep, I caved and here we go....for those of you who don't know our history: Gar and I met in Rock Springs, WY while we were both attending WWCC. We got married on June 4th, 2004. We then moved to Rexburg, ID. Gar went to BYU-Idaho and I just worked. We had our first baby on April 23rd 2005. Sadly, his little body didn't develop the right way and Grant Garrett Howell past away on April 26th 2005. After that, we moved to Laramie, WY and we have been here ever since and Garrett has been going to school at UW. We had our second baby on March 30th 2006. Taylor is now a little over 2 and she knows it. Last fall Gar took the OAT(optometry admissions test) and did AWESOME!!! And was immediately accepted to The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Now we are just relaxing, saving up some money and enjoying the last summer that we will be surrounded by family.
