Ok I know most of you are thinking "What did Greg look like before all of that hair?" Well I was thinking the same thing so I decided to do a before and after for you all.

Now this may be the shortest I have ever seen his hair...Summer 2011

And this is where we are at now. 

I am excited for this adventure of long hair and look forward to the time it becomes a ponytail....or mullet. No matter how long his hair gets, he's a babe. Feel free to share your thoughts on this adventure.

Here's our lives since the last post. So much has happened that I could write for hours. But I know no one wants to read that much so I'll just update with pictures.

October went by too fast. It was probably the first time I really, really missed home because I have been missing the changing colors and fall season. The month flew by and the only pictures I have to show for it were of Halloween. We went to Waikiki with our friends Tialei and Spencer and it was crazy!  

Greg's hair is getting long......

November flew by too.  We got to spend Thanksgiving at my grandma's house on the Big Island. It was a lot of fun and Greg's first time on the island.  My dad also made it out so that was nice. We spent half of the time on the beach and the other half we spent at my grandma's house in the mountains. For the first time in over 6 months we were cold. It was such a nice break from Hawaii weather. I think we have both adjusted to the Hawaii weather so December in Utah will be hard for us.

When we returned from the Big Island, Mike and Nat Bussio were already waiting for us at home. We were lucky enough to have them here for a whole week! It made going back to work and school after Thanksgiving break so much easier. We spent the week going to different beaches, eating good food, and even got to see Wicked! It was a first for all of us and we loved it.
We love having visitors so if anyone is reading this PLEASE come visit!



The hair just keeps on growing....

Greg is now preparing for his Unit 2 finals. That means that in just 2 short weeks we will be enjoying the winter weather with all of you! :)

Life is busy and blogging is turning out to be a lot harder than I expected.

Greg just had his first finals last week and he did great! There are 7 units in the first two years and he just finished one....only 6 more to go :) Last weekend they had a competition between the first and second year students.  We went on Saturday and it was fun. It's nice to get to meet the people that Greg spends all day with. They played basketball, volleyball and football. Although the first year students got killed in basketball, they won volleyball and thanks to Greg's football skills, they dominated in football.  It was flag football so the only tackle action anyone saw that day was me getting tackled as I watched the game from the sidelines....Guess I was too close.

Work is keeping me busy and I really like it. But it is making very hard, if not impossible, to make dinner most nights.  Poor Greg survives on leftovers or cereal. Good thing he isn't picky!

We had some visitors this last week. My brother, Adam and his girlfriend Jill stopped by from Virginia. It was so nice to have them here! Since Greg had a break from school for a few days he was able to hang out with them. They went snorkling and just enjoyed the beach. On Thursday I got to go with them to the Polynesian Cultural Center. We had dinner and saw a great show. We love having visitors so if anyone is actually reading this blog PLEASE visit :)

We had a great week and Greg just reminded me that it's about time for another post.

I started my new job on Monday. So far it's been great. I love the people I work with and know it will be a great place to be.  School is going great. Greg is enjoying it and studying hard. With all that he is learning in school he is becoming a little bit of a health freak. It's good though...I enjoy being healthy:) The end of the term is coming up in 2 weeks. It's crazy how fast time is going by!

My cousin had her little boy on Wednesday night! He is so cute and we have been loving him!

My mom came to visit for the weekend. It was great to have her here even if it was only for a couple of days. While she was here we were able to go to the temple and spend the day in Laie. Of course we went to Pounders. Greg was having a great time with his boogie board that my mom brought for him from Utah.

 After the beach my mom wanted to stop by the cemetery to try to find our family friends daughter's grave. We tried to look up their number to call them but had no luck. We went anyway and my mom, Greg and I split up to search.  By some miracle those friends were there fixing up her headstone. It was so great to see them after so many years.  

Since today was a holiday we got to spend the day together which was great. We went shopping and found a great deal on a new chair for Greg at the Goodwill. Luckily it is pretty close to our place so we only had to wheel it a couple of blocks. We had a nice lady ask us how much we paid for it and when we told her she told us that we got a great deal on it. We thought so too. 

 

It's be about a month since the last blog and it has been a busy month.  We finally moved into our new place and we love it. Moving was quick and easy because we didn't have a lot of stuff! Just the basics. I never thought I would be so grateful to have so little clothes but that seriously made moving so easy.

Greg's classes are going well. He had his first midterm test today and did great! We went out to the beach with some of his school friends last weekend and it was a lot of fun. They are a fun group.

Last Sunday we both had to speak at church.  I spent so much time trying to think of an excuse to get out of it that I didn't even have time to write my talk until Sunday morning.  Unfortunately it ended up being a short talk...real short. Good thing Greg is AWESOME and was able to fill the rest of the meeting so we didn't get out 20 minutes early. He is a natural at public speaking though so it was a cinch for him.  And there's another reason why I'm glad I married him....he always knows how to fix things!

So far we have met some great people and Hawaii is finally feeling like home.  Pictures will be posted soon.

And we're off!

So since we have moved far away from home I thought it was necessary to start a blog.  I guess it's my way of trying to stay connected to everyone.

Following the crazy wedding planning, a perfect wedding thanks to all of our family and friends and an amazing Honeymoon we came back and slowly started to ease into the married life.  That didn't last very long before we were thrown right into it by a phone call from Hawaii.  Having to pack everything that we had just UNPACKED and buying a one way ticket to Hawaii was nerve-racking and scary but now that we are here together it has been great.

So what has happened since we got here?...

• Found a perfect place to live
• Greg got to meet all of my family....they love him! I'm not surprised though :)
• Spent some time relaxing on the beach
• Went on my first solo bus ride. After getting on the wrong bus and having a little panic attack I arrived at my destination and feel like I can do anything now
• Greg is official! He had his white coat ceremony. I imagine that is what his graduation will feel like but even better!

Greg has made 2 new best friends 

• Greg started school and the non-stop studying and homework begins.....

....at least until 2016!
