What we've been up to!

A little bit of this and a little bit of that!!!  A couple times these past two weeks Mike has decided to "foster" a cat.  He would bring home a cat from the clinic for the weekend and the boys LOVED it!  This is a picture of them trying to get the cat to come out from underneath the entertainment center.  Needless to say "over stimulation" for the cats! :)  

They've been up to jumping!!  They love this thing and Mom is so glad we have it too!

And we've been up to wrestling!  Yeah - the boys wanted to wrestle so we though we'd let them give it a try!  These are the awesome team spirit shirts we got to wear! :)  

Will's first big wrestling tournament.  I have to say though, I have never been to a wrestling tournament, let alone a wrestling anything.  It was craziness!  The gym was packed and they have about eight matches going on at same time down on the mat and everyone it seems is screaming! :)  I asked Will if he could hear his coach (Dad) yelling and he said no! :)   And we were there all day!!  It's been fun - they asked Mike to be a coach so he had really gotten into it with the boys!

I read a shirt while we were at this meet and it said "once you've watched your kid wrestle, anything in life is easy;"  and I am here to say Amen to that!  It is hard work - they are trying their hardest and getting hurt and all tangled up and choked, etc., and they don't give up!  Will would not give up - he did awesome.  However, I started to cry when he was working so hard at one and he started to cry and yet he didn't give up.  I was so proud of him.  It made me realize that my boys, no matter what I do, they will have to do a lot of hard things in life and I won't be able to take it away from them.  In fact, it will probably be good for them.  Mike and I just want them to have fun - and we will see how it goes.    In fact, below you will see videos of the next weeks' meet and it went much better! :)

Busy October!

 We had a busy October it seems.  Actually it was really the end of the month that we looked forwarded too.   Forget Halloween . . . the boys were using a 60-link paper chain they had made to count down the days that Grammie and Pa were coming to see us! I didn't think we'd make it, but we did! :)

We were so excited that Grammie and Pa were also going to be here for Will's 7th birthday!!  I can't believe he is 7 already . . where does the time go.

Since Grammie and Pa were here we decided to go to Legoland for Will's birthday!  The boys had a blast!

This was a huge sea of legos - they were swimming in them - they thought that was pretty cool!

All these things were made out of legos - pretty awesome!

Afterwards we ate at a place called Fritz's Express where it was all about trains - a little train on the ceiling that ran around the whole room and then would deliver your dinner to your table.  It was pretty fun!

Grammie brought these hand-down jackets from my cousins and they loved them!!  Don't they look handsome - I am a little bias though! :)

SCHOOL!! and a little more!

Back at it again!  Will started the 1st grade and Dixon started preschool on Mon -Wed-Fri mornings!  They both LOVE it and are doing well!  Mom gets to spend some time with Titus alone! :)

Catch up on Summer!

Here are some pictures of our crazy summer!

We spent the majority of it swimming and cooling off in the HOT weather!

We spent a couple weeks in Utah and were able to go to parades and hang out with family! :)

We visited Grandma and Grandpa Gamble in Idaho!

and last but not least we went on a Pioneer Trek in Wyoming with Grammie and Pa's church.  

We pulled and pushed the handcart about 10 miles!  The boys did great!

It was a neat experience.  At one point in the trek they had a children's pull where all the adults were up on a hill and all the kids (19 yrs and younger) had the bring all the carts up by themselves.  It was a moving experience for all of us.  I am amazed at the strength (spiritually) that the youth have and I am so proud of my little boys for helping one another.  Jac was and is a great example to us all!  Love you Jac!
