Tevi's Preschool Graduation (times two)

Tevi attended "free" preschool every Thursday with these cuties. It was at no cost to me since we five moms simply rotated hosting/teaching duties and all chipped in for supplies. Even though Tevi was the only boy, he really enjoyed playing and learning with such fun girls!

Tevi has also been attending Miss Sherry's ABC Kids Preschool every MWF and has loved it. At the graduation they sang several of the songs they learned during the year and showed they learned their letters, colors, numbers, and days of the week.

First piano recital

Makai and Ame have been taking piano lessons with our neighbor, Lauren Thomson, since October. They really have made good progress and enjoyed working on their pieces for their first recital. After all was said and done, they were most excited about the refreshments, of course.

Makai played "Money Can't Buy Ev'rything" and "The Snake Charmer" (think "there's a place in France where..." but Makai doesn't know that little gem YET).

Ame played "Water Lilies" and "I Just Can't Wait to Be King" (from The Lion King).

Contrary to what it may seem, Makai is not the oldest student!

For time and eternity

Aki's younger sister Melinda married Jade Collier in the SLC Temple on May 3. It was a small and simple affair, especially for a Tongan celebration, but was a beautiful day (weather and happenings)!

Special day for Brigham

On Sunday, we attended Brigham's blessing of Aya Camerie. Afterward we had an awesome lunch provided by Shayla and her mom, where we gave a cheer for Brig, who just graduated from BYU Law School! Shayla already posted lots of great photos on her blog and wrote out her thoughts about Brigham's achievements, so I'll just post a few other photos. I am so sad that B+S are going to move. It's been great having them relatively close these past few years. I already miss all their munchkins!

Here is the graduate! So proud of him. And the real hero is beautiful Shayla who played the supporting role through it all.

Vaha update

Our little guy is 6 months old now. Time's flying (most days). Aki calls him either "Slim" or "Lefu," which is what Tongans call the runt of the litter--the little pigs that don't sell so kids keep them as pets. Vaha is our smallest baby by far, but he's a keeper. So sweet and cute. He's had some rough times due to problems with silent reflux, but he is getting better every day. He is eating well, sits up, and loves to smile with his mouth wide open. He's a mama's boy, of course, but lights up when other people talk to him. His brothers and sisters LOVE him and race to him in the morning.

Makai is my right-hand man when it comes to helping with the baby. I am totally confident in leaving the baby in his care (and I have!), and Makai does a great job. He loves his baby brother.

Vaha gets reacquainted with this guy every evening. They have a mini play session while dinner is being made.

Spring Break II

On another day of our Spring Break, Aki and I took the kids to the Planetarium since we have a membership. Great time! We went to see Flight of the Butterflies and thought it was excellent--I highly recommend it.

Spring Break

The Harrises and Funakis (moms and kids) met up with the Provo and Springville Udalls since we all shared the same Spring Break. The idea was just to let the cousins play all day long. They did, and they loved it! My kids were SO WORN OUT by the time we went home. Thanks to Cord & Heidi for hosting us!
