Today I turned two frozen bananas and some expired sour cream into this:

And one more picture of last night's supper. Yes, that is what you think it is. Pizzabons. Same idea as cinnamon rolls, but fill it with pizza toppings. We both agreed it was deliciously different.

Ode to Mom

She spends her days checking up on the children she carried
Her heart's fondest wish is to see them all married
She dotes on her grandkids and buys them all stuff
(no number of tights is ever enough)
She likes to sit by the window and look at the deer
Heights are for sure her one biggest fear
She's currently sporting a cool scar on her neck
Don't feed her coconut or marshmallows - Blecchh!
She likes to put her pj's on early
She dearly misses her yellow cat, Girly
She is turning ?? years old today.
So give a cheer and wish Mom a happy birthday.

My friend, the mailman

Don't you love it when the mailman brings you surprises? Today's mail was a jackpot, and included the following:

- a FREE pair of pants that I won for Preston on Dockers.com
- some Valentine treats(thanks, Macey and Grandma)
- a SURVEY!!
- photographs from Walmart.com
- the BYU College of Humanities Alumni Magazine. If you happen to be an alumnus/a of the College of Humanities, you may want to check out page 13. Someone you know might have contributed.

I Like Sundays

I like getting dressed up.
I like getting Lauren dressed up.
I like our ward.
I like singing with the kiddos.
I like having Preston here not worrying about homework (or at least not doing homework).
I like watching Austin Collie catch for the Colts.
I like not having to do laundry.
I like watching A Celebration of Life for the umpteenth time.
I like making goals for the week and creating a plan to fulfill them.
I like going to bed early because there's nothing else to do.
I like watching the squirrels play in the tree outside Lauren's window.

Dollar Menunaire

Because we spent half of our monthly food budget on February 1, we are not allowed to go to the grocery store this week. And because I like to be uber organized, I plan our meals in advance. So I present to you, this week's menu.

Sunday: Chicken Stir Fry
Monday: Black Bean and Sweet Potato Quesadillas - I saw this recipe and thought it looked interesting. We'll see how it goes.
Tuesday: Baked Potato Soup
Wednesday: Pizza Calzones
Thursday: Chicken and Broccoli Fettucine
Friday: Baked Potatoes
Saturday: Leftovers/Make yourself a dang quesadilla/Ward party
