Last weekend we hosted a cook-out to which we invited a bunch of people who haven't been to our house before. Here are pictures. It was a perfect fall afternoon.

Then we had an exhausting Sunday, as usual. And then, Monday, we had a verrrry special treat!!! A fellow homeschooling family in the church, from Missouri, came to Des Moines and met up with us for a couple hours a the zoo! Since the mom is the daughter of one of our church friends, we took her along with us, too. :D A great time was had by all. I couldn't get enough of the sweet kids (They have five prrrrecious children.) and the fall colors ... as proven by the following pictures. :)

Big fun! We finalized our year-long project of the US wall map and the postcards! Sadly, we didn't receive quite a few of the postcards. :( But our children have definitely mastered the US map, and had a great time doing it!
And, Justus gifted this paper to Jeremy a couple weeks ago. He designed a new uniform for the Saints. My favorite: the key on the left to indicate that yellow stands for the Saints' gold color.
