Let Me In

When i bought this movie, i didn't read the synopsis, i thought like.."i'm looking for a thrill/horror movie, well this cover looks interesting, a bunch of teenagers with a psycho guy...okay..let me buy this" , uh huh..and i am totally wrong..i thought this is just like a typical psycho teenagers' killer movie, but it is actually way different kind of movie.. I mean..this is the good one.

It's about a boy, victim of a group of bullies in school, he fell in love with a girl (his new neighbour) , the twist is, this girl is actually a vampire.

This movie story line might be a bit slow, but it makes you patiently watch it coz there's always a mystery and surprise. And the best part is, im not a fan of a typical vampire story, and i have no idea that this movie is about vampire until the final hours of the movie. It give you a hint to find out yourself, what this girl is about.

Tragic part about this movie is that, the old man who take cares of this vampire girl (Abby), was actually is Abby's boyfriend, since Abby is a vampire, she didn't grow old like normal human being, but his boyfriend did. His "old" boyfriend not only taking care of her, but have to feed her with human blood every night (which turn him into a serial killer). How mindfuq is that?'

Later her "old" boyfriend facing a car accident when he was hunting for a new victim. He got caught and was sent to the hospital. Abby pay a visit to the hospital, and he let Abby suck his blood out.Rather die than suffer the whole life looking for blood for someone else huh?

Since there's no more people that can take care of Abby, she become more closer to the little boy that I mention earlier (Owen). Owen fell in love with Abby, and I salute this boy (even though it's wrong) because he really take care of his new best friend. Owen still loves Abby even though rite after he found out Abby is a vampire.

One day Abby save Owen from the school's bullies. From that day, Owen ran away from home with Abby. *from this, audience can make their own conclusion that ; Owen will be Abby's next mortal "old" boyfriend soon.

For me, this is a good vampire story coz I totally didn't expect it would turn out to be a vampire movie. * halfway through this movie i even thought this movie is about a psycho pedobear or something, loL

Five Minarets in New York

So, yesterday i watch the Five Minarets in New York . I think it's a movie from Turkey, not the chicken, but the country, lol" ok not funny- Neways..i just watch a movie, nay am doing any freaking research?"

Back to the movie, it's about ~ wait i confuse i don't know where to start ~ honestly, this movie is everywhere! for the first half an hour, u'll be a bit lost, like who r these people? who is he? who is she? where? what? flashback? present? past?

Then the movie start to kick a little bit when Hadji (the main character) been arrested by the FBI in New York. Hadji basically is a Muslim, live in New York. He is married, has a beautiful family, but the wife is Christian (like what..?') He is a very religious man, but he believe that everybody have their own choice, Islam is about being peace..every things happened for reasons.

So the story is about 2 police officer from Turkey (Firat & Acar) been sent to New York to arrest a Muslim terrorist, which is the Hadji. But the twist is, Hadji is the wrong guy, someone had set Hadji into the trap purposely.

Ok im not gonna elaborate it coz u can just google it rite. Now im just going to make a review about it;

This movie have a good issue, but the storyline is everywhere, n a bit slow.. there are so many different scenes that did not related to each other. It could be an awesome movie if they narrate it nicely.

It's a bit about christian missed perception on Muslim. There is a short argument between the FBI officer (David Becker, not David Beckham ye, lol) with those 2 Turkish cops, if u a muslim, u will feel a bit offended because that David Becker is a real typical American that always thought Muslims are terrorist.

It's a bit unacceptable to see a very religious man like Hadji, to let his wife remain her religion (Christian) , even his daughter get married in Church, Christian way. So, to think in an optimistic way, probably Hadji believes 1 day his wife will been given hidayah, to convert to Muslim with her own willing, not just for the sake of mix religion marriage thingy. Anyways, the wife is very beautiful, and so do the daughter, like really hot" haha

Memorable scenes, one of it when Hadji was jailed in Turkey, n few days later The Turkish cops manage to caught the real terrorist, so they put him in the cell just right besides Hadji. When the officers were interrogate the terrorist, were asking why he did all those terrorism, so he repply and shout at them and said something2 about Jihad , he had this wrong idea that, Jihad will never stop until the whole human on earth are Muslim ; since Hadji had overheard the conversation, he interrupt and said something beautiful, he said , Our prophet never ask to force everyone to be a Muslim, but the obligation is to spread Allah's word.

The agenda behind this issue of arresting the wrong guy was actually cause by 1 of the Turkish police officer, Acar. He fraud the information about terrorist and purposely make Hadji as the victim cause actually he is seeking a revenge for his father, that previously been killed by Hadji's brother when Hadji was a child. He thought Hadji was the killer. Acar's grandfather, who had raised Acar for all this while had put the idea of seeking for revenge. After a while, Acar realize that Hadji is never a killer, so he said to his grandfather, he is not going to kill Hadji, and he think Hadji is the best person he ever met. I can smell something fishy by the time when his grandfather said, "Im sorry Acar for slapping u just now, If you said he is a nice person, I believe you, coz u know better.." I mean, if all human can forgive people just like that, i bet the whole world will live peacefully. But it ain't that easy.. in the end of the story, his grandfather suddenly shows up with a gun n shoot Hadji when Hadji was hugging with his long lost-contact mother. Ironic ~

I hate this movie ending! Beautiful thing about this movie is just Hadji, and his wife (owh ya..and Marcus too, he is cool :)

Not a really good movie to justify Muslims, because in my opinion, this movie potrays to other people (non-Muslim) that the actual enemy between muslim are actually the muslim itself ; because between ourself there are hatred, revenge, and fraud.

This is a bit.. frustrating...They could done this movie better. hmm ~

Inglorious Basterds

yeah..again..i've been abandon my blog for..let me see...almost 2 years now? wow" awesome

let start all over back again,lol

okay...so for the past few months ago, i have this new hobby, diggin' for good movie..actually any movie wud do for me, black & white movie, indie/low budget movie, 90's, latest movie (but have to admit it...am not really following new movie so much, too mainstream..cehhh..) well im a bit weird, i hate things that everybody listen/watch or what are so called trends. anyways, thts not the point here ; after a while been spending my money buying dvd or browsing youtube for good n rare movies..i think its time to make a notes or review on each movie that i've watch. if nobody reads, doesn't matter, at least it can be list of movie references for me, ain't that bad aite (infact am not sure gonna update ths blog later o not..true procrasinator me :) ~

well today i watch the so not up to date movie ~ The Inglorious Basterds



It was release last year if im not mistaken, was a hot stuff, but as you know..i rarely have time to go for movie. Went to DVD store, saw it few times, but nah...didn't feel like buying it. heard it's a good movie, but i don't know, maybe because the main character is Brad Pitt, so im a bit..not so fancy to watch it, coz am not a fan of him :| and finally today i've watched it n i tell u it's real worth it!

So, basically i really like to watch movie that have to do with WW, Nazis, Jews, coz it's base on real events, it's history, it is mysterious yet scary in the same time, and it tells you how people struggle and can really lost their humanity when it comes to war and revenge.

Unfortunately, Inglorious Basterds is not a real events, it just a fictions of "what if.." the event happen. But the story line is really good. I felt very intense during the whole movie ; these are some memorable part/ character about the movie :

Actually this is the main ideas in the movie, where it's about how 8 Jewish Soldier from different background seek for revenge to kill all the German Nazis. (Sounds like Spartans in Jew version, lol)

it's a bit disturbing (in a way they take out each Nazi's scalp once they killed them)

there was a psycho character (The Colonel Hans Landa a.k.a jew Hunter) where i can say he's a very good detective but in bad way because he is always there at the right time and at the right place yet how u wish he just buzz off" coz he'll ruin all your good plans

Shossanna , she manage to escape from the Jew Hunter when she was a child. When she grows up, she live in France with new identity and owns a cinema and how ironic, later a Nazi fall in love with her, but she loth em, n how ironic again, she have to set up for Nazi events on a movie premier at her own cinema. But then again, she found it's a good opportunity for her to burn the whole theatre which fill with the Nazis especially Hitler.

The movie that they are premiering in the movie (owh"inception, movie in a movie ,lol!) was kinda stupid, i mean really stupid. what kinds of idiot people would make a documentary a bout a soldier or whatever they call it, shooting enemy for the whole movie, and every time the hero shoot a victim, everyone in the theatre will clap and laugh to it. it's like watching psychos cheering on other peoples death. If that movie really exist until today my friend, im gonna say that movie sucks !

There's a few funny parts on the movie too, u know..when they use knife to mark people with Nazi symbol on their forehead for each victim that they let go, to make sure the Nazi wear nazi's uniform for the rest of their life without having to take it off. Thats a really cool punishment..hehe

I like the whole idea of the movie, it's psycho in a brilliant way, on how they execute the mission, and Shosanna is a character with a real determination. And it also shows how loyal a German Nazi is.

So, as i mention earlier, unfortunately it's not based on real event. But in good way is.. there is no record history that tells how 8 Jewish can kill the whole German Nazis. If that really happen, i believes the Jews will be much more arrogant compare to nowadays.

Im not pro Jewish, not even pro German Nazis. But theres a part of Jews & Nazis that i admire. If you watch Hitler:The Rise of Evil, I admire Hitler on how he turn from nobody to somebody, and his charisma on how he be able to give good speech and can make a world revolution and became a big influence for the whole German. And his idea on getting rid off all the jews is good(because jews are manipulative and monopolize the economy badly during that day) but unfortunately the way he did it is wrong. In the other hands, the Jews, if u watch Escape from Sobibor, it shows you how smart Jewish is, and the tortures in death camp thingy is totally beyond unacceptable.

So i guess thats all, I hope there will be more good movies on world war, jews & Nazis. Bought movie about Muslims and Christian conflict (can't remember the name) will watch it later, hope it's an inspiring movie too. later yaww ~
