Merry Christmas

Hi blog friends! It's been so long I've forgotten how to blog and blogger has totally changed it's format. Whoa! It's too late and I'm too tired to recap the past 3 months, but I'll share a few pics just for our scrapbook.

monthly posting?

It seems so difficult lately to even get a quick blog post in...unless I stay up late after everyone is asleep, but lately I've been SO exhausted by the end of the day I can hardly hold my eyes open long enough to get the girls down. Really thankful for a helpful husband! So monthly postings may have to work for a little while!

Before I forget, I have a friend who just started a blog. She is very wise in the Lord and has the gift of writing. She posts daily and I have been so encouraged by her. You should check it out!

My parents were here a couple weeks ago for a Razorback game so I wanted to get a quick family pic, which is quite a chore with an uncooperative almost 3 year old and a baby. So out of about 30 pics most of them looked like this...or some that I won't post with Zach and me getting irritated at the situation!

 Then Kinley started calling the Hogs as she says, "just yike yissa". My cousin Melissa is a Razorback cheerleader and Kinley wants to be just like Melissa...and who wouldn't, right?!!

 

So we got one pic with 3 out of the 4 of us looking at the camera with smiles. That will have to do. No wonder photographers charge so much! Thankful to have one in the family (thank you Jen!) so I don't have to spend the big bucks for pics.

She looks so grown up :(

It makes me happy to look at my pretty table. Now I need to entertain!

I've had to take the hat off the top because Kinley is so confused about the tree and it isn't Christmas time yet. And the frame is going to be a chalkboard when "Handy Manny" will come to our house to cut a board for it.  The paint and painter are patiently waiting...ahem :)

 

I've collected these ornaments over the years Zach and I have been married and received some as gifts. The tree is actually getting pretty full now!

Baby K turned 4 months last week. It goes by so fast the second time around. whoa! She weighed 14.6lbs and I can't remember her length, but she was in the 75th percentile on height and weight. She is such a delight! Just just coos and laughs and is such a happy girl. Kamryn is sitting in the exersaucer for about 10 minutes or so at a time now. She loves to watch Kinley and laughs so hard when Kinley talks to her. It makes me so excited to see them interact!

I fed her some rice cereal for the first time last week. She was her normal happy self for about 3 spoonfuls

 Then she was all done with cereal. She was MAD and I couldn't resist the picture op!

I'm kind of scared to say it, but she is sleeping through the nights most nights. Hallelujah!

Happy 4 months sweet girl!

3 months

Sweet Baby K you are already 3 months old!

You have finally decided that you like it here and I'm so glad. Terrible Mr colic is gone, thank you Jesus! It has been a trying few months on us all. Surprisingly, the memories of the hard days are already a little fuzzy.

Now you are a happy girl pretty much all the time!

You are really starting to babble and coo a lot. You loved to be talked to and you give the biggest smiles and laughs in return. You love your bath time and your bouncy chair. 

You certainly have a temper (I'm just sure it came from Daddy) and can go from smiling to screaming in one second, but it's only when you are tired. You liked to be swaddled very tight and have a paci and then you are asleep in minutes. You love to snuggle and I love that time with you!

You eat every 3 hours around the clock. You did have one strange night that you slept for 10 hours...and you had no medicine. That was a nice treat for mommy!  Last night was the first night you slept in your bed, although I think it's easier if you are in our room because you are still up to eat so often. We will see how this goes. I am thankful that you like your bed.

Everyone asks who you look like.....it's your Daddy! Hopefully I can post his baby pics soon to compare.

this week

Last weekend we made a trip to a nearby aquarium.  We were all very excited about going! After about the third fish tank, Kinley was pretty much bored with the aquarium.

 There was an open pool of sting-rays that you could pet.  Kinley had more fun splashing in the water and getting herself and everyone around her a little damp.

 My favorite part was the sea horses. There was one tank and they were all prego with precious big bellies. One had just had a baby which was adorable of course. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to show for it :(

 Probably the neatest part about this place was the shark tank, which is where my camera died, but the pictures turned out kind of scary/neat.  You can see K and Daddy at the bottom of this huge window inches away from the sharks.

Here we are just before we went to see Imagination Movers from the Disney Channel. Kinley LOVED it until about 15 minutes before it was over and she got SOOO tired. It was really fun for Zach and me, too!

Kinley has always liked music since she was very small. She has been singing the words to songs since before she was a year old, but these days she has started putting performances! She has about every song from every movie we own memorized, but her very favorite right now is "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast.  This is the short version!

So many of you have asked, and I'm happy to report that big sister is doing much better. She still has her moments but that's so normal! She actually agreed this morning to 1 let me take her picture (which is huge these days - she usually runs when the camera come out) and 2 sit in the chair with little sister.

I was thrilled so say the least! They aren't the best, but I'll take what I can get.

Here's one the "moments" I mentioned. I asked Kinley to hold baby sister's hand. So she did and I was busy snapping pictures. Kamryn began to cry because Kinley was squeezing her fingers so hard they were white! You can kind of see it in this pic. See the look on Kinley's face. I think she's gritting her teeth.

 The first of many! Sorry baby sister! One day you'll be big enough to defend yourself!

9 weeks

I've been working hard to get a picture of me and the three girls. There's rarely a time when all three of us are presentable AND in the mood for a picture.  Here's the best I've got thus far :)

I love it and wouldn't change a thing!...ok, less crying and less fit throwing would be okay with me!

Kamryn had her 2 month check up today and she's just perfect!

12lbs 3oz already!

She is really starting to talk a coo a lot! She has the biggest, sweetest smile that makes my day. Makes me forget that she cries at all. Here's a video I was able to get from my phone.
