So I think we can all agree that I suck at blogging.... In my defense, we had to move our office downstairs so we could have a nursery for Griffin and even though it's finished, we have nothing down there but boxes... And it's cold... And scary.... Anyways, Griffin is now 10 months and seriously, just so much fun. I mean, I knew having kids must be fun (or else why would people have so many?) but I had no idea....

Griffin Loves:

• Kaiser. They love each other and it just melts my heart. Every morning, Kai comes with me to get Griffin. He'll run to the side of the crib where Griffin will pat the top of his head and laugh at him. Every morning. Sometimes if I take too long to get Griffin, Kai will whine at his door and paw at it until I let him in. Anytime we come home, Griffin gets really excited to see Kaiser. I've always loved animals and I knew that I wanted my children to grow up with a dog. Also, I don't want Griffin to be one of those wussy kids who cries because a dog looks at him (no offense if your kid is one of those kids....

• Wrestling. If you lay down on the floor, he'll immediately crawl over to you and climb all over you, laughing and talking the whole way. He gets crazy-excited if we toss him on our bed and starts kicking like he has tourettes of the legs...
• His lion pillow pet. LOOOOVES it. He plays with/on his lion at least twice a day. Rubs his face in the fur, crawls underneath it, lays down, jumps on it... you name it. He loves a lion burrito where we put him in the middle and shut the pillow around him and roll him around. It was supposed to be a Christmas present but a certain someone *cough, cough, EVAN* kept giving it to him to play with.
• Rubbing food in his hair. It's the weirdest thing. He usually has at least 3 different types of food in his hair by the end of the day. One time he was in his highchair eating cereal while I was doing the dishes and I turned around to find 15 honeycomb stuck to his head in different places.
• Other kids. I know most babies do but it's so cute. Especially girls. He'll holler until they look at him and then he'll wave or give them his sweet little cheesy smile. 
• Biting. Fingers, my shoulder, ornaments, Kaiser, cousin fingers... nothing is safe. Luckily we've been able to start turning that into 'kisses' (open mouth, slobbering, tongue kisses, but hey, it's a start). It just gets a little awkward when he tries to do that to people we don't know very well....
• Water. If there is water, he will find it. Especially Kai's water. He likes to flick his fingers in it and loooves bathtime. We got him this sweet toy for christmas that is a little whale that swims around and squirts water. We're pretty excited for him to get it.

Griffin Hates:

• Getting his face cleaned. He just spits until I stop. In fact, he spits alot. It's kinda annoying.
• Getting dressed or putting a diaper on. He likes to crawl around necked but the carpet hurts his knees so he crawls on his feet with his bare little butt in the air. It's pretty funny.
• His carseat. I'm wondering how we are going to take roadtrips. I'm hoping that once he is 1 and we can turn him around so he can watch movies it will get better. Oh wait, he doesn't like to watch movies. Hopefully that will change too. :)

That's about it. He's one of the most laid back kids I have ever seen and we just have alot of fun! Here's a few picts I took just for fun...

4th of July

4th of July is by far, my favorite holiday. I love that its the beginning of summer, finally getting hot, swimming, all the good food at BBQ's, the smell of sunblock and chlorine, fireworks, everyone being patriotic, red, white and blue... I LOVE it. Seriously its just the best. We've started a tradition of going to see the Hot Air Balloon Festival and I'm excited for Griffin to get a little older and know what's going on. Don't worry, Evan was supposed to meet us there after work and completely forgot and went home so it was just me, Griffin and my fam this year.

Can you tell it starts at 6 in the morning? Yeah, we were a little tired....

Stuart Falls

One night my Dad called me up and ask if I wanted to hike to Stuart Falls with him since my mom was out of town. We had so much fun and I'm grateful that I have these times to spend with my Dad and Griffin gets to be with his Pop pop. I'm also grateful to live in a place where we can hike to a beautiful waterfall without much planning or thought.

Being carried is hardwork...

In hindsight, maybe flipflops weren't the best shoes to wear.....

Random Summer

Well we finally got the internet wireless card working at home so we can use our nice computer instead of the iPad! Woo hoo... so here's few highlights from June.... (hold on to your trousers folks,  i know this is pretty exciting and you've just been in suspense wondering what the Reids have been doing this whole time.....)

We went to a Family Reunion for Evan's side of the family. Griffin loved Memaw (Evan's Aunt Ikie, the one in the stripes). We didn't really know anyone but we were welcomed right in and everyone was just so nice.

Family Pictures

Last night we had our first family pictures taken! We've actually been trying to get this done since April and after rescheduling SIX times (yes, 6 times. It actually kindof turned into a joke) we FINALLY got them done. The photographer sent a couple to us for a sneak peek and I am so, so, so excited to see them. The real hard part now will be deciding which ones to put up! Here's a sneak peek:

Something to laugh at....

My Dad sent these to me and I couldn't help but laughing at the truth of most of these...

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. MapQuest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time.
