Hawaii part 1

Andy and I went to Hawaii for our ten year anniversary. Which is in Aug but with baby number 5 on the way in May we decided to Celebrate a little early in January.

 The 1st night we were there they had the All Star Bowl Block Party. The street along Waikiki Beach was closed off for it. Our hotel was on Waikiki so we headed out to listen to some bands. They had all sorts of band from Hawaii favorites, the navy and army preformed, there was an all Asian girl band just to name a few.

The second Day we were there was Sunday so we attended a Church then decided to see some of the sights. We stopped by the Halona Blowhole. It wasn't shooting up great that day but he view was pretty. By this time the wind was picking up and it had just started a lite sprinkle. 

We also hiked up to Makapuu Lighthouse trail. It was a beautiful hike up to the light house along the ocean. It was Humpback whale season and we where lucky enough to see a couple we saw them blow air out, do a head slap, and tail slap. Pretty neat we also saw a Sea Turtle swimming around. Well like I meantion before that it had started to sprinkle when we started the hike about middle of the hike it started rain a little hard then as contined to hike up it started pouring. Water was running down the Mt. By the time we got to the top it was so foggy we didn't get to see much  and we were so wet could ring out our clothes. It rain through the rest of the day. Luckily we had dry clothes in the car.

So what do you do on a rainy Sunday in Hawaii? You drive around the island. This is were we were looking to do another hike but it was still raining pretty hard so decided to for go it. The drive to the hike was through this tunnel of trees with vines hang down all over the place. It was pretty cool.

We also drove up to the North Shore and watched some surfers 

The waves were huge! We stopped but lots of beaches looking for shells to bring back to the girls but we didn't have a lot of luck. We did find a piece of coral at Turtle Bay to bring back and the girl put it in their fish tank when we got home .

On Monday we decided to do more hikes the morning was perfect for it not hot and not raining. we hiked up to a waterfall called Manoa Falls. It was a easy paved hike. It was so beautiful it was like walking into another world so green with flowers and vines everywhere. From the falls we to a trail up the mountain. We hiked trough a bamboo forest and there was the biggest tree I have every seen there Andy climbed up into. It had branches that went was down the mountain.  The trail was covered with tree roots at places. It was a fun hike to do.

A pineapple plant

After the hike we went out to try to find another hike but it had started to rain again so we decided to go to the Dole Pineapple Plantation. We had a yummy lunch and of course had a pineapple float. pineapple sorbet with pineapple juice. Yum! It was fun to learn about pineapples and how they grow. The rest of the day we just drove around the Island.

This was the wild life we saw on the island. Lots and lots of chickens and stray cat. They were everywhere.

My baby

Micazee climb up on my lap last night and laid her head down and fell asleep. It has been so long since I have been able to hold and rock my baby in my arms as she sleeps. I love all my girls s much they just grow up way too fast.

Cookie Store

Oh Fred Meyer aka The Cookie Store thank you for make my three year old's day.

"I want to go to the cookie store" is a request that is voiced everyday by my sweet little Brelyn.

The other day as we were leaving Fred Meyer Brelyn shouts,

"Bye cookie store. I love you so much! See you much." Then started to blow kisses.

Cherry Festival

This summer a has been a fun yet busy.

In June we went to the Cherry Festival that Emmett ID has every year.

 They had a petting zoo there that the girls loved!

 We saw goats and chickens and lamas Oh My!

Amerie Also liked the chickens because Tayla does. We are in the stage of "I want to be just like Tayla so I have to do everything Tayla does"

We also stayed for the parade.Who doesn't love a good parade?

 Brelyn's favorite thing was the candy she wasn't saving any for later everything she got went right in her mouth.

Half way through the parade Andy took Tayla and Micazee to the car, because Tayla had another one of her headaches. Poor girl so they hung out in the AC. At the end of the Parade they had some big trucks spraying water and I thought the girls would like it. I was way wrong. Amerie started to cry oops. All in all we had fun at the Cherry Festival.

School

When we where getting ready to take Tayla to school Brelyn got her little back pack all loaded up. She kept saying like Tayla, like Tayla. We got loaded up in the car and dropped Tayla off. Brelyn had a melt down and started to scream "To school, like Tayla, to school." over and over again. The poor girl thought that if she had a backpack she could go to school with Tayla. It broke my heart to have her want to go with her sister so bad and not let her go. I feel that way sometimes.  Tayla is gone most the day to school so we dont get to see her as much as we would like. We miss our Tayla when she is gone to school.

Bye Bye School Loans

I just paid off our last school loan! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO! I wanted to shout it from the roof tops but my baby sleeping so I am shouting it to the blog world. After a year and a half of paying all that debt we are free!  I am on cloud nine right now! I can't imagine how it will feel to pay off our house, that will be a good day to look forward to.

Santa in the Park

Our subdivision has a Santa in the Park day in December. Andy was on call  that Saturday, so the girls and I went to see Santa by ourselves.   

Tayla asked for a cat in a purse.

Amerie asked for a unicorn in a purse.

Micazee 1st time seeing Santa. Poor Santa Micazee kept pulling at his beard.

All the girls love sitting on Santa's lap and telling them what they wanted for Christmas, except Brelyn. She wasn't going to go anywhere near that scary looking man in as red suit and a long white beard.

They had ornaments for the kids to make and Hot Chocolate and Cookies to eat. I forgot to get a pic of the girls making their ornaments but here is Brelyn waiting for her hot chocolate. 

Micazee had so much excitement seeing Santa it wore her out and she slept the rest of the time we where there.
