Birthdays

 We celebrated Sophi and Mayzie's birthday yesterday. Soph turned 7 and Mayzie turned 4. We are going to be gone for Mayzie's birthday, so we celebrated early with soph :)

 Mayzie wanted an Elsa cake and so we created this. We have attempted fondant several times and finally got it to work. Gracie did this mostly by herself and I think she did pretty good for her first time!

It's hard to believe that my Mayzie is 4! She is so much fun to have around! She is always making us laugh! She is such a good helper and loves all things girl! She loves to color and play barbies. She loves to dress up and play house. She loves to help with Justus and thinks she is older than she is.Our lives would be so lonely without her! We love you Mayzie moo!!

Ella's Birthday

 We went to the swimming pool for Ella's birthday. Swimming is always fun for the kids and is nice when it is so hot! Ella turned 5 and is going to start kindergarten this year. Crazy how fast they grow up!

 She had cute princess cup cakes, but the frosting melted. They still got eaten though :)

Desmond's Birthday

 Charles and Jill came down to bless Rogan and celebrate Desmond's birthday. We had the party at Amy's house. My camera was acting out on me, so I didn't get all the pictures I wanted. I tried to get Des and Brook to smile and they wouldn't..

 I told them to smile for a picture and this is what I get..

 Justus loves pushing things! He likes brooms, mops, the vacuum. He also loves to drag big sticks around...he must be a boy!

 Rogan is getting so big!! He had a beautiful blessing, but I didn't get any pictures.

 I know I have said this lots before, but I am so glad my kids have so many cousins! They always have a friend! It is such a blessing!

We had a really good weekend! It is always good to share it with family!

I want to write about some other things that have been going on, so I can remember. Vern and I feel like we are kind of in a crossroads of sorts, with finding a job that will be long term and end up with some retirement and a better financial future.  We have had the same job now for over 5 years, but it has come to an end and we feel like it is time to figure out the next chapter. It is so scary for me, because I want to make the right choice. I want what is best for our whole family. Vern and I both do. I can't even talk about it without getting emotional. We have been blessed so much and I don't take that for granted! I try not to anyway. We have some pretty awesome kids and so much family that love and care for us. It just has been stressful trying to figure things out. So, on Friday both Vern and I got blessings and I can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel! I love that we have the priesthood! I rely on it so much and love that we are blessed to have it! We were both told that we would know which path to take. I was also told that no matter what, our kids would be OK. What a relief that was! I love my Heavenly Father so much and know that he loves and care for me and my family. Even though this journey can be scary at times, he is always there! So now we have some decisions to make, but I feel much more confident that we will make the right choice for our family!

One more thing that is really exciting! Patrick is one of the security guys that has been at the ranch and he was baptized last night. He is the 2nd one to join the church since the standoff and there are more that have been investigating. It is so humbling to see the miracles that have followed!

 We had more rain this year than I have ever seen out there! It rained for most of the day on Friday. Then again on Saturday. The kids loved it of course! It was nice and cool. We thought it was goign to be a really hot year, but because of the rain it was really nice.

 We all just sat under the tarps and hung out.

 The boys needed to get dry, so they stripped down and played games in the trailer for a while.

 We had lots of coats and some beds to dry.

 The dance is always so much fun! I brought my camera without the battery, so all I had was my phone... :( makes for bad quality pictures..

We had such a good time this year. It was nice and cool and rainy. Instead of bringing home lots of dust, we brought home lots of mud!I have already done several loads of laundry and I have several more to go. The camper is cleaned out and ready for Vern to take and we are all clean! Can't wait till next year!!
