Ho Ho Ho! (Guess Who Sat on Santa's Lap...)

Santa visited Gabrielle's school today. The kids sang two songs for him and opened up gifts from him for their classroom. Gabrielle got very brave and sat on his lap! (When we saw him at the Christmas tree farm, she said "Mommy, wave at him so he doesn't know we don't want to go over there!" and she waved her little heart out and made sure Mommy did the same so that we wouldn't have to go near him. She is so funny!) Nicolette was very excited to see him, but did not like it when Santa tried to hold her. Santa also gave the class candy canes to enjoy. Ho ho ho!

Today, Mommy took the girls to Disneyland to meet up with Helen, Guido, Johanna, and Isabelle for a fun day. We sure miss having their family close by!

Preschool Christmas Program

Tonight, Gabrielle had her first-ever preschool Christmas program. Her class sang two songs, This Little Light of Mine and Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It was so cute. Gabrielle kept waving to us and reminded Mommy of the story Grandma and Grandpa tell of Mommy at her first dance recital waving and yelling out "Hi Grandma!" After the program, there were treats in the hall and then we went to dinner with three other families from her class. Also, Nicolette was really showing off her walking skills tonight, as the last couple of days she is walking lots more!

Daring Girl

Nicolette's new-found activity that she enjoys makes Mommy a bit nervous. She pulls the blankets off of Great-Grandma's rocking chair and climbs up to "rock, rock." If it ended there, Mommy wouldn't worry so much. But...she can be found standing up on it or flinging herself from it to land on all the blankets and roll off.

Baby on Horsey!

Today, Mommy, Daddy, the girls, and Grandma & Grandpa M. went to the train and ponies in Griffith Park. This was the first time Nicolette rode on the ponies on the track that are not hooked or tied to anything! She was so brave and LOVED it! It was so cute! When I was getting the video ready to put on here, I noticed some men in the background of the video pointing at her, obviously amazed such a little (& absolutely adorable) baby was riding one of the ponies by herself. When she finished her first turn, she started signing "more" and "please," so, obviously, she had another turn.
