So I saw some melting snow in the backyard?

Okay so the weird melting snow in the backyard turned out to be a newly formed lake due to a crack in the main water line. How was I suppose to know? My bad! I had noticed this trench getting larger over the past couple of weeks, but hey we have had a lot of sun and melting snow. So Friday Dan was running late for work and noticed from upstairs that there was running water into the trench...he knew something was wrong. He had to call in a dig line to get all the lines marked, call up all the neighbors who share our well, and arrange with his brother, Chris, to have some of the guys come dig up my yard. What did they find...


Oh a nice 6 inch crack in the line that has been broke for who knows how long. But hey...Dan stayed home that day...so that was nice. Thanks you Dan, Chrissy, Derek, and Kirk, and to all my patient neighbors who endured no water for the afternoon and me calling over and over! You will all be glad to know that we have much better water pressure now!

I HATE THIS PUZZLE!

So Daniel bought me this puzzle last Christmas (2007) and in November we decided to put it together one night for FHE. Never did we ever think we would hate it so bad! It is the hardest puzzle I have ever made an attempt to do. I don't think it will ever get done because we basically only work on it when we can convince Kimmi and Jake to come over and help us. It is one big picture in which each piece is a scene from a Disney movie. My roommies and I in college did one kind of like this once and it took us about a month. But I hate this one! So I cannot promise you that you will see an end result! Sorry.

I Know...I am a slacker! No one needs to tell me. I can't say I have been too busy, I just haven't sat long enough to type anything. I am back to work now and things are going pretty well with that. I think I am adjusted back into the old routine...just a little more tired. On my days off, between hanging out with Addy, I have been trying to keep up with my house. So there are my excuses! But we had a wonderful holiday season with our new baby! I can not believe she is already 4 months old! My pregnancy did not even go this fast! What's up with that! Okay, I will stop talking and share some of the holiday festivities.

We bombarded Egin's Christmas party so Addyson could meet Santa Clause. She and her friends tried to be so brave when they met him. It still cracks me up to see little kids squirm when meeting Santa. Even Addyson cried...but I got in that picture, so you can't see it now.

We spent Christmas Eve with Daniel's family out to DeVerl and Pat's. There was snowmobiling, food, and chatting. The kids put on a wonderful Nativity skit. It was cute. We then exchanged gifts and visited more before everyone had to make it home before Santa showed up.
Would you know that Santa even brought Dan some things! He even got a gun! (I think it was a $6.00 one from Cal Store) That Santa sure knows how to shop! We loved spending Addyson's first Christmas morning together! She was so cute sitting in her bumbo chair to open some gifts. She is just so dang cute and petite!
After we had our own Christmas ordeal, we went to Bryce and Sherry's for my family's gathering. We ate brunch, open gifts, hung out, then ate again. It was such a nice weekend.
I went back to work on the 27th and Dan was suppose to watch Addy, but he went snow boarding and left her with Tif. So thanks Tif! The 31st we went up to a cabin in Ashton with Dan's family. There we lounged, played games, played in the snow, and ate like kings! It was such a good time. Sad to have the Holidays over, but still the same, enjoying the new year!
