A new 2013 calendar

Coloring

I bought a coloring book and everyone home Sunday afternoon used it.  I guess you are never too big to color.  They all seemed to enjoy it.

I called a friend today to see what kind of mandarin oranges she buys.  Amber said that they are the best.  She left me a message.  Later that afternoon, she showed up on my doorstep with a bag of oranges.  I was grateful for her thoughtfulness.  I hope that someday I can be like her.

Thankful Thursday

This week I am thankful for telephones and being able to talk to Gary when he is in Utah.  I am grateful for texting and being able to get a text throughout the day that says, "I love you."

I am thankful for helpful children.  I am thankful that they are healthy and strong. 

I am thankful for such wonderful reports at parent teacher conferences.  I am thankful that the children are motivated to do their homework.  I am thankful that they desire to do well in school.

I am grateful to have a temple so close to my home, so that I can attend every week.

Thankful Thursday

I am so grateful that I can be a stay-at-home mom.  I as grateful to be able to be at the crossroads as my kids come and go.  I am grateful to be able to help them out when they forget something and they need me to bring it to them.   I am grateful to get a phone call from my college kids so they can just talk.  I am grateful to be able to attend the kids sporting events.  I am grateful to talk with them about their day.  I am grateful that Gary has encouraged me to be home.

I am grateful for weekly letters from my children that don't live at home.  I am grateful for e-mails so that I don't have to wait weeks between missionary letters.

I am grateful for my friends who support me and are there when I need something.  I hope that I can also be there for them.

I am grateful that my body moves.  I am grateful that my back has been feeling sooo much better.  I am grateful for pain killers for those times when I do ache.

I am grateful for a Heavenly Father who loves me.  That is one thing that I have a very strong testimony of.
