Everthing Else

So, I thought I should add a little bit about how the rest of our lives are going, not just our kitchen.
Logan is terrific! He has been working on walking for about a month now and he is finally figured it out. He is so funny to watch his wobbly steps. It's hard to believe he will be one year old in a few weeks. The time really does fly by!
Kaden is thriving in preschool and in my daycare. He handles sharing all of his things pretty well, as long as no one touches his transformers! It's funny how he looks forward to the weekdays when all his friends are at his house and I look forward to the weekend when they are all gone! :-)
The daycare really is going pretty well. I enjoy being home with my boys and wouldn't choose to go back to work, but yes it keeps me running! I just keep telling myself I just need to get David through school until I will be able to forgo to daycare. But in the mean time I am just trying to enjoy life right now. I am an expert on setting a date when I can be happy.
I will be happy when . . . (fill in the blank).
I just work each day on remembering how lucky we are!
David and I are really doing great! We are just trying to balance work and school and life, and have fun doing it!

KITCHEN!

So the kitchen renovation is nearing! I am SO excited for the finished product but VERY nervous to be without a kitchen for a week. Next Wednesday is DEMOLITION DAY! That is kind of a scary word "DEMOLITION"! I hope we really can get it all put back together! I watch too many Renovation Reality shows on the DIY Network (My FAV Channel!). Every episode showcases a family trying to renovate a room themselves, usually a kitchen. Well, many of them don't go too well. Usually they seem to completely blow there budget and nothing ever gets done on time, and they usually call in some professional help. I am really hoping that doesn't become us!! I can't go without a kitchen for very long at all! I use my house for my business so it's kind of a necessity.
Well, good thing it's BBQ season! We are going to be living outside for a while!

Kaden's Birthday and Kitchen Remodel!

Thank you to everyone who came to Kaden's birthday party last week! It was a lot of fun to catch up with family that we don't get to see as much as we would like. I know life is busy and it did mean a lot to us to all who took time to come play with us! And thank you Melissa for the most adorable birthday cake.
Kaden LOVES Disney Cars so his birthday cake was made into a racetrack with 3 Cars charters. Kaden was funny and would not walk away from cake to eat lunch; he just wanted to stare at it! I'll try to get some pictures up soon. I accidentally left my camera at home so my mother-in-law let me borrow hers so now I need to find a way to get them.
Anyway, life as usual...David is working hard at work and school and the Daycare is chugging along. I have a LOT of work right now, but I also have some great kids, so in all it is going pretty good.
We just did our taxes and were pleasantly surprised to get more then we expected so our kitchen remodel plans are beginning! I am SO excited! We are going to schedule the project to begin right after the end of the semester. I have been living without a dishwasher, which wasn't too bad until I started the daycare. We are also adding some much needed extra cabinets and a build-in storage bench in our bay window. Hopefully it will really help us out in our TINY kitchen!

New Plan!

Well, David ran off again for another 12 hour day! I know we just need to be strong and work through it but it is so hard for me to be stuck at home all day long. We don't go much of anywhere because I have a couple extra kids in the house and it is just too hard.
So, yeah the new diet isn't working very well while I am at home and not doing much! I need a way to get to the gym.
So here's my new idea . . . I need to hire some help! I am actually really excited because it will give me a break from the kids for an hour or two. Maybe Logan would get over his attachment issues if I left him every once in a while.
So, I talked to a neighbor of mine and she wants to help me out (Thanks Maggie!) I just need to find one more kid to watch to pay for my helper and get myself a gym pass!! So that's the new plan! So if anyone knows anyone near Springville that needs daycare let me know. :-)

Back to School!

Well, I survived one day of being a single parent! David started school today at UVU and was gone from over 12 hours today! I know it's what we need to be doing, but man is it hard! Logan would not let me put him down and only took an hour nap all day! When is this baby supposed to hit the Independent stage where he wants to do his own thing?! I am SO ready for that!!

DAY 2

Well Day 1 didn't end so well. But I threw away the rest of the ice cream I bought last week and I am geared up for a great day today! I have realized it is extremely difficult to lose weight being at home all day; my kitchen is so close!
Speaking of kitchens . . . we have exciting plans to remodel our kitchen and I am so excited! Our plan is to start in the spring. Well, this is all if work picks up for me and we don't have to dip into our savings. I do have a couple good possibilities coming to talk to me about Daycare today, so I've got my fingers crossed!

Day 1

I just replaced the batteries in my scale which hasn't been working in a month. That was pretty scary stepping on it after a month long break! But it turn out I didn't gain much weight over the Holidays. That was a welcome surprise!
So Day 1 leaves me with 28 lbs to go!
