Beach Part 1

 Sarah Grace talked the entire drive down. That's 3 1/2 hours of constant jabber! She was so excited to see the ocean. However, she fell asleep 15 minutes before we pulled into the hotel!

 A Sarah Grace sandwich! My cousin's little girl would correct everyone when they would say Gracie's name. She would say, "no, its Sarah Grapes." Too cute!

 We dug and played in the sand every day and have quite the collection of sea shells now. Sarah Grace liked the huge broken shells, I preferred the petite whole ones.

 This girl was made for the water, no fear of it at all!

 I think everyone was having a good time, but I'm not quite sure what kind of face Sarah Grace was pulling.

 The submarine was her favorite pool! We spent a good bit of time at this one.

By the end of every day she was completely worn out. She played hard every day!

 Sarah Grace took these next few at P.F. Changs, I figured I needed them to document the trip.

 She slept for most of the trip home, except for the lunch stop and a second stop for doughnuts.

Last week was our annual Thompson Beach Trip. I love this time of year and this last trip definitely didn't disappoint! We spend seven awesome days with my Dad's side of the family in Myrtle Beach. This year my parents got a 3 bedroom condo at our favorite hotel. What a difference that made! We had so much space and a full size kitchen. We were very thankful for that! The first few days we had Eric with us, we spent our days on the beach and in Sarah Grace's favorite pools. In the evenings we would gather for family dinners and trips to our favorite local spots. We also took a couple of night time walks on the beach. Eric had to leave on Wednesday to go back to work, I wasn't very happy about this, but thats life I suppose. Our routine didn't change much once he left.  My family is pretty laid back and we spend most of our time in the water or lounging next to it. I loved catching up with my aunt and uncle, cousins, and their kids. I also loved all of the time with Sarah Grace, who is my favorite. We had plenty of late nights playing cards and just socializing and quite a few playing rock band. Just the vocals though, seriously, hilarious! I think we have video of my snorting from laughing at Will so hard! Great times! Thanks Mom & Dad for the wonderful trip!

Just enjoying the summer

Another week in Instagrams. I know my blogging has been slack, I apologize. All is well here. We're working hard and playing hard. We've had cooler weather the past few days. It's been getting down to 70 at night so we've been able to open up the windows in the evening. Today of course the heat was back and it will only go up the next few days. It's going to be nice and hot for our beach trip next week, I'm still excited though. 




*Can you tell that we visit the splash pad multiple times a week?! Its a great place for afternoon picnics. It's become a weekly staple in our schedule along with the library and homemade popsicles. Love summer!
