Christmas!!!!

We are so blessed to have family so close. This Chirstmas we went to my parents house and opened presents. I was so excited to see Abby actually rip the paper off her presents, even though she has no idea what she's doing

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we went to Eric's Grandma's house for dinner and a party. The little children acted out Jesus being born. Abby got to play Jesus for a little while, but got too upset so her cousin Jacey took over. It was a fun time, afterward we went to Eric's parents house and exchanged gift between the siblings.

White Elephant Gift

At Eric's work they did a white elephant, he almost got stuck with the world's largest underwear, but somebody decided that they wanted that so instead Eric got a balloon animal making kit. These are our first attempts at making dogs.

Playing

While I was wrapping presents Eric inadvertently started making Abby laugh, it was so funny, I was only able to tape the last half of her laughing but it is still great.

Santa

Abby and I went to the West Heritage Center to watch Rachel and my mom perform in their play and look at all the activities going on. In the opera house we saw Santa and Abby got her picture taken, there were three of us taking pictures at the same time and I was the only one she wouldn't look at. Abby did so well during the performance even while I was videotaping the whole thing and holding her. As we were leaving to go to the farm portion where Rachel and my mom had been making cookies and cider we decided to ride the tractor back, bad idea. It scared Abby so bad that she started crying and I couldn't get her to stop until the car ride home.

Dinner Time

This was the first time we fed Abby any kind of real food. The first bite was questionable, the second was better and by the third she was grabbing the spoon and trying to do it herself. Apparently mush is good.

Eric was getting some good sounds and reactions from Abby and I was actually able to get some on film without Abby stopping.

Abby is always chewing on her fingers, she's tried to get both her hands in her mouth at the same time!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Eric's parents house where all his brothers and sisters and their families were able to be this year. We enjoyed great food and fun together. We are so grateful for so many things in our lives, especially our little Abby.

I forgot to get a picture while everyone was sitting at the table but I was able to get some. The food was very good and we enjoyed spending the day with his family.

Jack-o-lanterns!

As per our tradition we carved pumpkins this year. Rachel was there and Richard, along with his girlfriend Ashley, Eric and I were there with Abby and Grandma helped babysit. It was a lot of fun and it got a little messy. Everyone used a stencil except Ashely who obviously has more talent than the rest of us and they turned out okay.

Fun in the Fall

Fall is here and with fall comes LEAVES! We made a huge pile and Laura's house and buried each other in it.

Oregon/Washington trip

Before Eric started his new job we decided to take a road trip. We went to Oregon to visit my grandpa and aunts and uncles then to Washington to see my oldest brother and my grandma. We had a lot of fun and we had a lot of food. The car ride was long but okay.
