On To First Grade!

First day of school: 1st Grade

She was so excited that she woke up before my alarm. It only took the next day for her to not want to wake up early. "I want to sleep for a few more minutes," she tells me. But on the third day she seemed excited again. So her first week of school went pretty well. 

Kindergarten Graduation

I've always thought this a silly event but with our own child graduating kindergarten it wasn't so bad. This will be fun for her to look back on. Yay Isabella, congratulations!

One Year Old

Our baby is all ready one year old! How does time fly so fast? We celebrated with family and close friends. Our Hawaiian tradition is to celebrate the first year of birth because back in the day most babies didn't make it to their first year birthday. When they did it was a celebration of their survival.

Woo Hoo I'm one!

Our Six Year Old

I finally got her six year old pictures up! Her birthday was last month. This kid is growing up too fast for us. I wish she could stay little, she was a very good baby and is still very good today as our big six year old. This spring she will be finishing up Kindergarten and throughout the summer we'll help her prepare for 1st grade.

Learn to Play Hockey

Five weeks of FUN!

Yes! We were so excited to find an affordable program for her to learn and play some hockey. Equipment was included! Isabella has loved every moment and couldn't wait to get on the ice each week.

Major Update

This adorable girl turned six years old last month, March. We took her to Casa Bonita for a yummy birthday dinner. She LOVES that restaurant! Family joined us and all had a good time. We later had birthday cake and ice cream at home. Isabella requested a Wonder Woman cake and I thought, "yeah I think that I can make that." So I did and her words when I brought it out, "oh wow that is so cool, I LOVE my cake!" Thanks sweetie, I'm glad you liked it, I guess I did pretty good...thumbs up for mom!

"Quan Balance"

I'm not sure if I have ever posted anything about this!

A tradition that has been in my family, all five of us, have done the awesome balance and now it's exciting to see my little girls doing the same. They love it when daddy holds them up to balance.

Merry Christmas From Us

 We had a nice quiet Christmas morning at our home. This was Isolde's first, she turned 7 months on Christmas day and her favorite part was eating the gift bows and the wrapping paper. 

Later that day we went to Nonnie and Nonno's home to gather with more family and open more presents and enjoy a yummy Christmas dinner.

These girls had a fun time opening presents together. 

Isabella's happy expressions were priceless! Isolde, well she was upset every time we took the wrapping paper away from her.

Almost Forgot

So I almost forgot to post about Halloween this year and that would be bad because this is one of Isabella's FAVORITE holidays. Better late than never!

Here are our awesome pumpkins that we carved for this year 2013.

I wanted to do an octopus because of the Redwings but I could not find a decent pattern so I just drew my own and it turned out great! I'm pretty proud of myself :)

Isabella was Silvermist (from Tinkerbell movies). She was too excited to get to the school trunk-or-treat so she wouldn't turn around and pose for me.

Almost Six Months

Oh my goodness, our baby is so cute! It was so hard to choose just a few pictures to put up. I didn't want to overload the blog. This is our little girl (youngest of our two) and she is coming up on six months. Time is flying too fast. We love how she is sporting a mohawk just like her sister at that age, they look so much alike.

Fall Break

The girls and I had the opportunity to visit family in Utah for fall break. We had a lot of fun with everyone!

We also tried something new with my brother-in-law's side of the family, apple juicing! The juice tasted amazing and was well worth the work. It was such a fun experience. 

Spending time with family is always filled with fun moments, even if it's sitting around the table talking, which we did a lot of late at night.

We also did a little hiking with Isabella's cousins and friends up at Snow Basin. The kids had their bags to collect whatever they found interesting which ended up being a lot of random rocks and some leaves.

Balloon Classic 2013

Great weather and blue skies for this year's balloon classic. 

This year we grabbed some donuts on our way. Yum!
