This is why we do NOT eat rocks!!

Last night we got to church way early so I could get things ready for my class I teach on Wednesday nights. CJ had the big kids outside playing on the playground.

I was in my classroom working away when Alyssa and another little boy come running in saying that "Caleb is bleeding EVERYWHERE!!" So I get up and go check it out.

Caleb had picked up a rock and tried to eat it. (he put EVERYTHING in his mouth!!! it is really gross) We are guessing that he got his lip between the rock and his teeth. CJ said that it was really scarry. All he could see was lots of blood. He brought him in the church and cleaned him up and this is what is left.

I hope he learned his lesson!!

A Big Step

Tonight is the first night since Evan was two weeks old that he has slept in his bed. Evan has reflux and man can that boy spit up. It is massive amounts and all the time. When he was two weeks old the doctor told me to keep him propped up. It worked miracles. He has slept well since I started keeping him in his swing. But I knew that the swing time needed to come to an end. (he was not swinging all night long...just sleeping sitting in his swing) Earlier this week he was trying to sit up in his swing. That was when I knew he needed to move to his bed sooner rather than later.

He has been taking his naps in his crib all week, but I have been too scared to try night time. (I am getting up at 4:15 to work out and was scared to have a bad night)

Tomorrow we do not have a workout at 5 so I decided that today was the day to try it. He fussed for a little while and then was out. It is 10:20 and he has fussed some, but we will see how it goes.

Here is a picture of our sweet boy in his crib. The flash made him make a face, but he was sleeping very peacefully. (I did not want to take another one and risk waking him up...I love sleeping babies!!)

Next week we will move the boys into a room together and let Alyssa have her own room again. I will keep you posted on how that transition works!!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Here in town they have a Daddy Daughter dance right around Valentines day. This year CJ took Alyssa. They met our friends Jeff and his daughter Kalan. They had a great time.

When we told Alyssa that she was going to a dance with her Daddy she knew that she "HAD" to wear her "flamingo" dress from Spain. I actually curled her hair and did the whole girly thing. She LOVED it!!

CJ said there was not a whole lot of dancing...more like flopping around. They had a great time. And man does this girl LOVE her Daddy!!

BAD, BAD, blogger!

I really want to be a good blogger...but I am just not so good at it. I check lots of blogs daily, but updating mine...not so much.

Life with three has been interesting, but we are loving it. After we got Evan to sleep throught the night life has been so much better. He is going today for his 4 month well check. I am guessing that he is around 15 pounds or so.

Last week we went on a trip with my parents and he rolled from his back to his tummy, and got his two bottom teeth. CJ's comment was "what else can that boy do when I am not there to see it?"

We are currently getting out shower redone. We actually hired someone to do it for us. It is looking great and will be WELL worth the money. I will post pictures when it is done!!

I do not have current pictures on this computer, but here are a few, since the last ones that I posted were when Evan was 3 weeks old!!

Thanksgiving 2009

On Thanksgiving day we went to the metroplex to eat Thanksgiving with Jennifer and her family. It was such fun. They were so gracious to let our family of 5 crash their party.

Alyssa and Hudson!! He has gotten SO big!!

After lunch we went to the Cowboys game. I know that most of you are thinking that I am completly crazy for taking a 3 week old to a Cowboys game, but it was so much fun and we could not pass up free tickets.




Evan was a little over stimulated the first quarter then I fed him and he slept through the rest of the game. The two big kids loved the game. CJ was so great he let me take care of Evan and he took the big kids to the potty, to get a football and just made sure they were doing what they were suppose to.











The stadium was great...but I found myself looking that the HUGE screen and not the field.

We are so thankful to have a healthy family!! We have really been so blessed. I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We have all been so blessed!!
