16 years and Christmas Eve

Addi finally had her 16th birthday on December 21.  She was so excited.

 Jordan's good friends, Morgan Duce and Dallon Martin, drove all the way up from Lethbridge to see him in the middle of finals week then immediately drove back.  Thanks guys!

Last bits of summer and first day of school.

Addison's club basketball team got to attend a camp at Gonzaga University in Spokane Washington.  They had such a great time.  They won 7 of their 9 games.  Way to go Airdrie Avengers!!  Since Addi was  born in Washington, she told everyone that she was going back to the "motherland".

In July we went down to Idaho to pick up Sydni from BYU-I.  We spent a few days with family as well.

 Sydni turned 19 on August 4th.  Addi and I thought we were really funny by decorating in a Justin Bieber theme.  I think Syd actually loved it.  She is not afraid to admit that she is a Belieber!

 We went to see Mary Poppins to celebrate Syd's birthday.

September came way to fast and now we are back to school.

More visitors!

We were so excited to have my mom and dad, my brother Rich, my brother Ken and his wife Andrea and their two cute daughters, Halle and Embree come to visit.  They have always wanted to see the Calgary Stampede so this was their year.  We loved having them here!

First round of summer visitors!

We are so excited that we are having lots of visitors this summer.  At the end of June we welcomed my sister Keri and nieces Steffi, Weslee and Shaylee.  We had so much fun!  We started off with a trip to Banff.  While there we had a picnic, went on a hike to see the falls, walked through downtown and ended the day with a trip to the hot springs.

For supper we went to Eddie's hamburgers.  They serve burgers that are certainly out of the ordinary.  You could have anything from pineapple to peanut butter and jelly on them.  Steffi actually had the one with peanut butter and jelly and said she liked it.  

We stopped so they could all see the Calgary temple that is just about completed.

 This is from our Canada Day celebration.  We grilled hotdogs and made homemade poutine.  Dessert was red velvet cake.  That night we laughed for hours playing games.  We sure loved having them here.

Sports Edition

Braxton started taking karate in February.  He absolutely loves it!  In April he got attend grading to see if he could  move up a belt.  He did really well and was able to skip the red belt and move right to yellow.

Mexico update

Jordan is loving being in Mexico City and is realizing how quickly time is going by.  He has 5 months left and I think he would rather stay for a while longer.

Jordan especially loves the little kids.  He has so much fun with them.

Jordan's mission president is a real sports fan. (That really breaks Jordan's heart!)  The president set some goals for the mission for the month of March.  After the month was over they all got together and had a March Madness of their own playing basketball all day at one of the only churches with a wooden floor.   He had so much fun playing ball again.  This is him in his zone's basketball t-shirt and a few of his friends that he gave Canada shirts to.

Happy Mother's Day to me!  We got to Skype with Jordan!  It was so fun to see him and hear him!

Look out Disneyworld...here we come!

We just had the most incredible Spring break! Syd has been living in Orlando, FL working at Disneyworld with the Disney college program while she is on her off semester. We decided to go and visit her before she went back to school. We had an incredible week We spent time at each of the four Disney parks, Universal Studios and Cocoa Beach. We also met up with my brother Jim and his family who happened to be there at the same time.

We spent a night at the Medieval Knights with my brother, Jim, and sister in law, Malinda. Here are all cousins. This was especially fun since we don't get to see them very often because we live so far apart.

We invited all of Craig's family over for the Family Day weekend in February. It was so fun to get caught up with everyone. Craig's parents, his brothers Gerry and Rob and some of there families were able to attend along with Stacey who represented Kirk's family.
