Race for the Cure!

Hey Everyone!!
I'm getting this posted later than I had liked, but I have a friend from college who is participating in Race for the Cure. At age 29 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been an amazing example of how to persevere through trials and keep a positive attitude, even though things were bleak at times. I can't say enough how impressed I was by her. Well, I know I haven't blogged forever, so if I still have any followers out there I will be surprised. I will update more later, but for now I'll leave you with these words shared by my daughter yesterday:
Allie: I don't want to have any kids.
Mom: Why? Don't you want a little brother or sister?
Allie: Yes, but I don't want any kids when I'm older.
Mom: Why not?
Allie: I'm allergic to them.

Halloween & Fall Bows

Well, some of you know I have a blog to buy bows from. I haven't updated it for a long time, but I FINALLY have. So if anyone reading this blog is interested in buying some Halloween and/or Fall bows, go here. All the information you need is on there. I made one for Allie and it turned out pretty cute.

Other than that, nothing much is going on in our lives. Hunting season is starting, which is always fun. Hopefully we'll have some meat to bottle this year. I love fall, but this year it seemed to go straight from summer to almost winter. Not much 60 or 70 degree weather. Oh, well!

This is just a picture I took of the kids a couple weeks ago. Yes, Easton is just wearing a diaper and no pants. I just thought they looked so cute on their way to look at the garden.

We spent some time at Carey's grandparents a couple of weeks ago. We try to make it to their house a couple times a year. It's so fun to spend time with them and I think they are two of the neatest people I know. We always enjoy our time there.


Well, hopefully I will have more to blog about in a couple of weeks. I should since Halloween and Easton's birthday are coming up. Who knows...maybe we'll get lucky and have some deer pictures to post that weren't shot illegally (accidentally) and won't cost us $475 for being honest, responsible hunters. :) That's still a sore subject around this house. So, to all of the hunters and hunting widows, Happy Hunting!!

Our Allie Girl

So, like everything else in my life, I'm almost 6 months late on getting Allie's 4 year old pictures. They turned out pretty cute. She gets so embarrassed that we didn't have too many choices because of funny smiles, but we had some turn out really good. These were my 2 favorite pictures.

Allie also started preschool last week. She was SO excited. She woke up earlier than usual ready to go, but I had to tell her it wasn't for almost 3 hours. She had fun wearing her "school" clothes. I let her pick out one outfit. She was so funny about it. I can't believe she's growing up so fast!
