Happy Easter!

After Dave and Cache found their baskets from the easter bunny we went to brunch with Dave's family. Dave's mom and dad have been in town for the past week visiting us and just went home today. Breakfast was fun at the Phantom Horse (Which was not a favorite but eating outside in the beautiful weather was great.) Then we went to church dressed in our Easter outfits (OK, really only Cache got a new outfit.) This past week has been nice having Dave's parents here, they help out a lot and really love being with Cache. Cache went to swimming lessons on Fiday and Saturday, he did not do too well. On friday he just screamed and cried the whole time then on Saturday he was a little better but still cried quite a bit. I think he is teething and really bad. He has just been drooling piddles all over and wont eat any solid food, super cranky, and sleep obsessed. I always feel so sad when he is in pain, I wish I could hlep him more. Hopefully this will pass soon.

Stroller Pushing

Cache has mastered the art of stroller pushing. He loves to walk around pushing the stroller, it really is very cute to see his feet trying to go fast. He's getting really good and I think he will be walking pretty soon.

Getting Ready for Easter

Today Cache and I were being very festive and made Easter cookies. I made so many so we will have to give them all away (trust me I done need them.) We made a mess and had fun doing it. Well I think Cache was sick of making cookies after about the first five minutes. He has to be doing something all the time and has a very short attention span.

The Great Escape

Cache is now trying to escape. He is just moving around so much pretty soon I wont be able to keep him in the house. However, once he realizes the back yard is just rocks and bushes he may not be so excited to play out there.

Fun Weekend

So Dave and I decided to be adventureous this Saturday and try some new things here in Arizona. First we decided to try and find a farmers market. Well I figured the one in Phoenix would be the best on but when we got there it was pretty small. So we decided to just drive over to the one in Scottsdale since it wasn't too much further. EVEN SMALLER. I thought for sure they would have a great farmers market in Arizona with all the farms and people...guess not. There was one produce stand and we got some nice lettuce and tomatoes. So far the best one I have been to is in Monterey. We came home and just hung out for awhile then went to dinner at a Korean restaurant down the road. Cache is so funny and definently starting his temper tantrums early. If I could just figure out how to download the video I would be able to show you an example. Really though, do you want one? He saw his 6 month old cousin Lily today and scared her with his screaming of excitement. There is some exciting news however, Cache has started to stand up and let go for a few seconds holding on to nothing. He really wants to take that first step but is just a little too scared. I really think he will be walking in less than a month. Oh man I will have my work cut out for me then. He is already into everything!

My Boys!

Welcome

This is our first blog and for anyone who looks at it...welcome. Dave, myself, and cache have been living in Arizona for about 6 weeks. The weather is beautiful now but I am not looking forward to the coming months. Cache and I spend our days cleaning, playing, and looking for new friends. For two people who don't have much to do all day we sure do seem busy! I am currently waiting to see if all my credits will transfer to ASU and start school again in the fall. Dave enjoys working at the hotel and likes being close to his brother. Cache is growing as always. He is 97 percentile in length and head size; and 92 percentile in weight. Needless to say he is a big boy and very active. He is getting into everything! I am so worried he is going to either break or choke on something. I am so paranoid. Its a bad habit...I am a worrier. I hope having this blog will help me keep in touch with everyone.

3/17/11 Lyla's words: Baby, Bah Bah, Momma, Dadda, Meme (not sure how to spell it, its korean), uh oh, Thank You (this is more of a noise rather than the words but I know what she means when she says it).
1/26/11 Cache asked me today why he couldn't make his chocolate milk move in half. What? You know, he says, so people can go through it. What? I am so confused. He runs to his room to find his little bible book and asks why he can't make his milk move apart like in the story in his book. Oh, I get it now. I told him you have to have special powers from God to be able to do that. Now he thinks God is some kind of superhero...ooops!
1/21/11 Lyla, you are such a copy cat. You mimic everything. I read you a couple of books last night and the entire time while I was reading you kept yelling, "dah dah dah dah" like you were also reading, except very loudly. Today you walked over to the shelf where all the books were and you started yelling, "dah dah dah" really loudly again. Pretty funny.
1/21/11 Lyla has started walking everywhere. She loves her new found freedom!
1/21/11 I asked cache if that was his friend brody we saw in the restroom? He said yes and then said, "well actually his name is beiber." I said beiber? And he replies, "yeah, justin beiber." What? I laughed so hard, how in the world do these boys know who Justin Beiber is?
10/16/10 Lyla has started clapping her hands.
10/16/10 Cache has started telling white lies and I am trying to teach him what a lie is and what telling the truth is. Today he kept asking me a question but I didn't understand what he was saying. Then he says to me, "mom, tell me, tell me, tell me the truth!"
10/15/10 We were getting ready to go out to dinner and I was doing Cache's hair when he looked at me and said, "mommy you look really pretty." Oh you better believe that kid got a big ice cream cone that night!
10/13/10 Cache is on this why kick. Why this, why that? We watched the babies documentary and the ENTIRE movie was why are they doing that, why do they have this, why, why, why!!!!
10/13/10 Lyla will turn to you when you call her name. Today I called her name, she looked at me, and then I said what's in your mouth? And she opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue. Such a smart girl!
10-03-10 Cache told me he would put soap in my mouth if I said stupid again. I never told him stupid was one of those worthy soap in the mouth words (I save that for the naughty words) it is really hard to not say stupid, but I feel like I shouldn't be saying it. Oh how the tables have turned.
10-30-10 Three teeth! Two on the bottom and one up top. Three! No wonder you have been so whiny these past few weeks.
9-07-10 My baby is crawling...everywhere! Bittersweet.
7-06-10 Cache was looking at a Book of Mormon picture book and asked why they all had swords. I tried to explain that at that time there was a lot of fighting. So he asked if when him and Lyla get older they can fight all the time with their swords. I gave up trying to explain that wouldn't be nice and just said sure. Just deal with it then!
7-06-10 I love it how cache always calls Lyla, sweet girl. So adorable!
