Update from Heidi

We have a few big changes going on in our lives right now. In March we welcomed a baby girl, Sadie, to our family. This month my husband is graduating from University of Nevada School of Medicine and next we are moving to Rochester, Minnesota for five years where he will be an orthopedic resident at the Mayo Clinic. We're excited for some adventures in the Midwest!

Hawaii Gathering

Recently Dainan and his wife, Romney, shared their Hawaiian hospitality with Kim and her husband Joe while introducing them to a local favorite frozen yogurt place. Dainan works on Oahu at the archives and they will most likely stay in Hawaii for a few more years while Romney certifies in social work. Kim and Joe were in Hawaii celebrating their first anniversary.

More DC Visitors

Diana and her nice husband Rod visited the DC area for the Thanksgiving break. Rob, Erin and cute baby Emily along with Kim and Joe enjoyed a quick outing to a local DC favorite, The Dairy Godmother, for frozen custard. It was a pleasure catching up but as always the time passes too quickly.

Hello Everyone!
Several friends from BYU London Study Abroad now reside in the DC area. We took advantageof this opportunity to catch up and enjoy dinner together. It was a wonderful evening and great hearing all the exciting happenings of their lives. Quick updates below:

Erin & Rob (Cowles): Had an adorable baby girl, Emily, months ago. Erin is caring for her while Rob is teaching managers how to manage. They came to DC for internships and stayed. Lucky us!



Kristen Daniels: Just returned from Muscat, Oman and is attending graduate school at George Washington University. She'll graduate in a year with an MPA.

Kimberly (Mihlfeith) Breault: Has lived in DC for nearly five years. She's attending graduate school and will receive an MBA December 2010.

Caroline (Tung) Richmond: Has been in DC for seven months while her husband is on a Military deployment in the Philippines. Upon his return next month they'll head back to North Carolina. She writes extensively for local and online organizations.

Erin Urry: Just became a first time aunt! She and Kelli live in the heart of DC in a charming row house not unlike many in London. She's busily working as a graphic designer and loves it.

Kelli Urry: Is working full-time with Johns Hopkins University. She enjoys it and it's keeping her very busy. While she loves DC she's contemplating a move to South Carolina or another college town.

Hope you're all doing well! Wanted to share a quick update. This past March I married my sweet heart, Joseph Breault, in the Salt Lake Temple. He's originally from Lebanon, New Hampshire and has lived in Virginia for the past three years. We'll continue living in the Washington, DC area for the next three years while he finishes school. I was recently laid off work and am seeking new opportunities - most likely in the graduate school arena.

Hey London Gang!! It's great to hear from everyone, I love reading all your updates. My husband Eric and I have been married for three years now. Last year Eric graduated BYU in chemical engineering and we moved out to the far and distant land of Wappingers Falls, New York (ever heard of it?). We live about ninety minutes north of NYC in the beautiful Hudson Valley (Ryan...who knew we lived so close). Eric works as an engineer for IBM and I've been working as nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital, which I love!!! ( I graduated two years ago from BYU's nursing program). Although we miss living close to family we are really enjoying the area and all the nearby historical sites. This past weekend we drove up to Vermont to see the bithplace of Joseph Smith. The fall in New England is truly breathtaking. I'm extending an open invitation to anyone who wants to visit the area or the city...we love visitors! Eric's studying now to take the GMAT in the spring, then hopefully we'll apply to grad schools next fall for his MBA. I'd love to go back for a master's as well, but we'll see. London friends, it is so good to hear what you are all up to. You make me want to go to grad school and/or have a baby. Neither is happening in my life right now, but I'll tell you what is. I have been a Student Advisor in the Department of Agriculture at the University of Alberta in Edmonton this past year. I don't love my job, but does anybody in their 20's really love their job? If you do let me know, because I haven't met anyone yet who does. I just recently bought a townhome here so I guess that makes me somewhat permanent now. I love my new pad - my roommates came along and I also rent out a suite in the basement to guy who is never here, so it's been a dream so far. That's been my big news of recent.

I also saw a few of you over 07/08. I saw Lindsey Iorg Phillips, who is livin' the dream in London, last November en route to India. In February I also saw Leilani Sauer and her boys - she hoofs a stroller like nobody's business in downtown Seattle. In both instances it felt like no time had past since we had seen each other last, and we just picked up where we left off. In included some photos from my London connections and one of me in India, and another with the new place. India was fantastic. If you plan on going talk to me first, I know of a great driver and car you can hire.

So ten year reunion in London, 2013?
