Thanksgiving Pics and Misc

So, I guess I will do my once a month blogging tonight. I don't seem to get around to it more than that. We went to Childress for Thanksgiving and really had a blast since the whole family came in for it! It was great! Bryson had an absolute blast with his cousins. Here are some of the things they were up to.







Oh, and yes, Bryson is wearing pink, girl pajamas in the picture with his cousin, Afton. He always wants to wear Tesema's pajamas-Isaac loves it as you can imagine!

One night while we were there, the kids decided to get out the old Tae Kwon Do uniforms from my Dad's school and have some matches. It was so much fun to watch! Bryson thinks he's ready to start classes himself-we'll see.






While the bigger kids practiced their Tae Kwon Do, Jaiton was just chillin' enjoying a good newspaper! Silly boy!

Lately Jaiton started making this hilarious face we call his pirate face...



Here are just some random pics of the boys. Jaiton is crawling all over the place, standing up on everything, getting into everything, and driving me nuts! Bryson is still a character and can't wait for his 3rd birthday on Saturday. An awesome horse-themed party is in the works!

10k Race

So I have been running a lot lately and ran my first 10k Saturday morning (that is 6.2 miles for those of you who don't know). I have a great group of friends from church I run with and we had a blast! I was really happy with my time and our entire group did really well. I have a couple of 5ks and a 10k under my belt now and am just looking forward to the next race!




And yes, this was a morning race and these were taken after the race so I look really great with no make-up, drenched in sweat! That's okay-it was a blast!

Halloween

We went to Childress for Halloween and had a blast spending it with family. Bryson absolutely loved dressing up with all of his cousins and going trick-or-treating. He was a cowboy on a horse and Jaiton was an adorable little monkey. All the cousins were together except little Owen who is up in Utah. We had a lot of fun and, of course, ate way too much junk!

Colorado Trip and Visitors

I'm a little behind as usual in getting things posted! The first weekend in October, Isaac had to go to Denver to do a site visit for work. After checking flight deals and seeing how cheaply we could fly from Austin to Denver, we decided to all join him and make a little vacation out of it, especially after we realized we would all be able to fly free between Isaac's ticket being paid for by his company and flight rewards and credits paying for the other two! What a sweet deal! We rented a car in Denver and drove to Rangely to visit Grandma and Grandpa Byers for the weekend. We really enjoyed getting to see them and Molly, Amanda, and cousins.






We thoroughly enjoyed all of Grandma's great cooking and the boys enjoyed the swingset outside. Even Jaiton got some of Grandma's homemade applesauce and loved it!






After a great visit in Rangely, we headed back to Denver so Isaac would be there for his site visit the next day. We actually stayed in the same hotel we stayed in when we were married in Denver in 6 years ago and visited the Denver Temple where we were married. It was really neat to go back with the boys and reflect on how much we've been blessed! Here are the boys being goofy in the hotel room. Jaiton was so funny in the little hotel crib! He looked like he was in baby prison!

After returning home from Colorado, our good friends, The Hansens, came to visit us from San Antonio. We miss them a lot and really enjoyed their visit! Bryson and Maxwell had a blast and I think McKenna got in on some of the fun!





While the Hansens were visiting, Jason took Bryson and Maxwell behind our shed in the backyard to play and build a fort. While they were back there they discovered we had another little guest that wasn't so welcome! It was actually quite huge and disgusting!



Isaac had to dispose of it (to put it nicely)! Afterward, Bryson asked if the rat went to go visit his cousins! :) Too cute!

Anyway, we are all doing well. The boys are just growing up too fast. Bryson is planning his 3 year birthday party and has more personality than he knows what to do with! Jaiton has started crawling and getting into everything already. He is a very large, happy, 6 month old. They keep me busy and entertained to say the least! Besides the boys, I am doing quite a bit of running and really enjoying it. I am training for a 10k in November and my first half marathon in December-we will see how that all goes. Isaac is doing very well in his job and stays way too busy. Poor guy is constantly going between his responsibilities at work, church, and home. One day he'll get a break!

Pics, Pics, Pics...

I have lots of pictures from the last couple of months to post, so I'm going to do little writing and post lots of pictures! First of all, all of my family got together for a little vacation last month and it was the first time we had all of the new babies together and all 10 cousins together. We had a blast!







Yes-Jaiton is the biggest baby in the pictures!

We also had many visitors in the past couple of months. My sister Celesta and her husband, Billy, and their 2 girls, Tesema and Malia, came to visit.







Isaac's little sister, Molly, also came to visit. The boys absolutely love her!




Then a couple of weeks ago, Isaac's older sister, Meredith, came to visit with her husband, Andrew, and their 2 kids, Parker and Bailey. We all had a really good time!







As many of you know, Bryson is way into horses, cowboy, rodeos-you name it! We took him to the rodeo here in Temple awhile back and got him new cowboy boots for it. He picked them out himself and got a lot of attention at the rodeo because of them!




My baby Jaiton is growing up too fast! He is now 5 months old. At 4 months, he got his 2 bottom teeth and started rolling over. He laughs all the time now, loves his walker, holds toys, is absolutely fascinated with Bryson, and is trying really hard to crawl.







Bryson is such a character and always has been. He has decided lately that he wants to embrace his Samoan heritage (yes, I know, he is the whitest Samoan ever). He wears my lavalavas and does the Haka and swings his stick around and does the Samoan fire knife dance.
