House Divided

Texas Tech played Baylor this weekend at Cowboys Stadium (Jerry World). The stadium itself was pretty impressive BUT since we were playing Baylor they were only selling beer in certain sections. I guess those baptist folk don't like drunk crazy west Texas folk.

The game started at 5 but we got there at 1 to tailgate. It was a long day and the longest we have been away from little Tatum but we knew she was in good hands with G Pop and Gam E.

Dylan's singed arm hair.
He opened the lid to the grill and the flames went about 4 foot high. I seriously thought he was going to catch himself on fire. He was fortunate enough to just be left with a little less arm hair than when he arrived.

We got there early enough to get a PERFECT tailgate spot, within a few yards of the entrance.

The HUGE monitor everyone talks about. It really is big and so unbelievably clear.

Tatum a little unsure about the Turkey.

Well either the turkey scared her or maybe it was Mommy's face!

All better

Thanksgiving with the Fam

We spent Thanksgiving with Dylans' family. Tatum is turning out to be quite the little traveler. We loaded up the car and began our 4 hour trek to Tulsa, late Tuesday night. We only stopped once to eat and feed the baby and then she slept or just entertained herself for the whole car ride.

Thanksgiving Dinner was delicious. Thankfully Tatum took a little nap while we ate. Here are a few pictures from the last couple days.(In the words of Tatum)

Gam E got me a new bouncer.

Look at me standing here like a big girl.

I forgot to smile.

Another one of my new outfits. My Gam E bought me the hippie shirt. My mom made me wear the leg warmers.

Peace and love to everyone on this Thanksgiving day.

Pretty Little Playa

We had Playa groomed before heading out for Thanksgiving. I wish I took a before picture because she looked like a street dog. Now, however, she looks like a little princess.

3 Decades of Lauren

We celebrated my friend Lauren's 30th birthday on Saturday night.

We had a blast.
First, it was dinner at Charlie Palmer's, which is in the Joule Hotel downtown Dallas. I'm a people watcher. Dylan hates it but I can't help it sometimes. There was a table of guys sitting behind us and 2 of them were wearing sweatsuits, I told Dylan, had I known we could wear sweatsuits, it wouldn't have taken me NEAR as long to get ready. They all also had HUGE diamond earrings and one of them had a diamond ring on his pinky that was the size of a chandelier. I mean, the guy was wearing someones house on his hand. Come to find out, it was Gnarles Barkley and some of his friends/entourage. THEN, Mike Modano and a bunch of other hockey players walked in. His wife, Willa Ford was with him too. It was a good night to be a people watcher.

After dinner, we went to PM, which is a club and is also in the hotel. I was told that it's the same club that Pac Man Jones got into a fight with his bouncer last year. Thats how the club was explained to me. Oh, and Britany Spears went there after her concert a couple weeks ago. Thats all I knew about the place before we got there.

Now that, I'm done name dropping, here of some pictures of the REAL stars...

Weekly Progress

Tatum is starting to really enjoy playing and hanging out with Mommy during the week, or maybe I'm just enjoying hanging out with HER more.

She is also starting to almost laugh. She has let out 3 little giggles so its any day now. Funny how the littlest things make your heart melt!

Tummy Time. She is finally starting to like it more.

She held her rattle this week, instead of just reaching for it.

Basketball Goal

Tyler made the basketball team at his school and was pretty pumped about it. In honor of Tyler's achievement (and just to have any excuse at all), Dylan went out and bought a basketball goal to hang on the garage.
I think its a little crooked but since it took 2 days to get it up, I'm not saying anything. ;o)

He's Baaaack...

Last night we went to Jeff's House Warming Party. It was pretty much like old times. We all acted like we were still in high school...EXCEPT we are married with kids and still know how to have fun.

Letter to Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I've missed you SOOOO much. I hope you have missed me too. I've had tons of fun in Florida. I made Mommy take lots of pictures so you can feel like you were here with us. I can't wait to see you and tell you all about my first airplane ride, meeting great-grandma, great grandpa, and Jebby, AND my first golf cart ride.

Here is Mommy and I saying good bye at the airport

I slept the whole time on the plane and Mommy didn't even have to drug me! When I woke up we were in a strange place, I didn't know what was going on!

When we got to Florida, I saw Grandpa again, at first I wasn't so sure about him
Here is Mom and I enjoying the morning sunshine.
Great Grandma was so nice and cuddly. She sang some song about a girl named Alice and I fell asleep in her arms. But don't worry, regardless of what this picture looks like, she never fed me...

Or slapped me.

Uncle Jebby picked me up at the airport with Grandpa, he liked to talk to me and he showed me pretty flowers around Grandpa's house. I REALLY liked him and hope we get to see him again soon. He also told me about his grandkids and I can't wait to get to play with them someday.

Mommy makes me laugh.
This was my first golf cart ride with Great Grandma and Mommy.

Grandma kept handing out some kind of drugs that Grandpa and Jebby kept joking about. I didn't get it but Mommy thought it was funny. Jebby and Grandpa kept saying she was a drug dealer. Whats that Daddy?

Ok, so I figured out Grandpa wasn't so bad after all.

I LOVED the bouncer I got to play in while I was here. I could barely stand the excitement!

We went to dinner before Great Grandma, Great Grandpa, and Jebby left. Great Grandpa kept yelling something about a ham sandwich.

I just sat in my car seat and watched everyone walk by.

Here is our family picture, I really liked taking it. 4 Generations, pretty cool, huh? We will have to take another one with you in it next time we visit Great Grandma and Great Grandpa.

Grandpa sat with Great Grandma and Jebby while we watched TV one night.

The last night we were visiting Grandpa, we went to town to look for your sunglasses. Mommy carried me in my favorite carrier.
After walking around town and not getting your sunglasses, we ate at Urban Flats. I'm not sure WHY Mommy is making this ugly face but I swear, I was good.
Here I am in my bouncer again, I just LOVED this thing. I was thinking of you when Mommy took this picture.

And now for the grand finale... I miss you and can't wait to see you tonight Daddy. xoxoxo
