I found a new iPhone app called Instagram. It quickly changes mobile phone pics by adding filters. It's my new hobby.

The Gardens

We went to the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens over Spring Break to
a.) smell the roses
b.) walk around
c.) pet a turtle
d.) visit our tree

I love the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens.

Spring Break Camping

We bought a tent and went all the way to Grapevine for a night to try out camping. It was fun until Brett couldn't go to sleep the whole night because of the loud high school campers two tents down from us that stayed up until 6 am. I slept right through it until the loud bird starting chirping from 4-5am. Even though Brett couldn't sleep we still want to try it at a more fun location. Every place was booked around here. I didn't know spring break camping was so popular.

I like making smores.
Brett likes making fires.

We were made for each other.

All Grown Up

Mr. Charlie Satch Havard is getting bigger as you can see from the progression.

He likes sweet potatoes. And loves bananas.
He likes Hazel. And he likes to be outside.
He also likes to be inside.
He also gives us these looks which make us forget the blinds he chewed up, my glasses he chewed up, the tree he chewed up, the shoes he chewed up, the other blinds he chewed up, the couch he chewed up, the other couch he chewed up, and the holes he dug under the fence.
All in all, he's fitting in quite nicely with our family.

Ice Vacation

I've enjoyed (almost) 4 days of icy heaven and I think I've fallen more in love with my school district. :)

Brett and I finally ventured out of our house today after three days of staying inside. Our driveway is on an incline and it has had 1/2 inch - 1 inch of solid ice over it since Tuesday morning. We picked the ice off with a garden hoe in order to slide down it for a trip to Target. Once we got off of our street that was ice covered, it got a little better. The Target parking lot was pretty much solid ice in most places. And, then we saw a jackknifed truck on the way home.

So...I'm glad they canceled school again tomorrow.

I think the people complaining about it are weird. You're being forced to stay at home, relax, and then stay home and relax some more. What's the problem?

P.S. I'm impressed with the U.S. Postal Service for delivering mail on Tuesday. But, I think they're crazy, too. Take the day off, people. But, thank you for delivering Netflix.
