Hmmm

Well I can't sleep, this is what usually happens when my children FINALLY go to bed. I try to go to sleep but find myself up late browsing the internet for nothing in particular. I think what really happens is that once the kiddies go to bed I finally feel that I have some free time on my hands, and instead of cleaning my house (what I should be doing), I just get in my PJ's, hop in bed and play on my lappy. So here I am at one in the morning sort of updating my blog. Although there's not too much to update other than we added a new addition to our family. We got a puppy. A basset hound to be exact. At the moment she is the bane of my existence. I know that I was warned, but for some reason when people told me that getting a dog would be like having another child, I just really didn't believe them. She fights with the kids, whines in the middle of the night, makes extra messes for me to clean up, and is still being potty trained. I honestly didn't know what the heck I was thinking when I begged Blayne to allow us to have a dog. I'm kind of a self professed germ-a-phobe.! Hello! Germaphobes can't have dogs! I think I'm going to have to plead temporary insanity on this one. On the up side of this, I truly don't believe that we have ever given our kids anything that has kept them as entertained as this dog has. They absolutely love her. Every time I consider giving her away, I think of what Blake's reaction would be, and secretly I might be a little sad if I gave her away too, because even though she's smelly, and makes a lot of messes for me to clean up, she makes my kids laugh and squeal with delight, and how can I deny them something that brings them so much happiness?

On another note, can I just say how much I absolutely adore my kids? I never in a million years thought that I would love being a mom so much. I think that my favorite sound in the world is to hear my kids laughing and playing together. 

Okay so I think I've written enough ramblings for tonight. Hopefully I will start updating my blog a bit more since Blayne found my camera that has been missing for months now (YEAH!). Poor Sophia doesn't have many still pictures because of it. She is going to wander why there is a whole chunk of her life that has not been documented, and I will have to tell her it's because her mommy lost the camera and couldn't take any pictures of her. Well I guess that's what happens, you take a million pictures of your first child, and then I think the pictures of each child tend to decrease the more children you have and the further the child is down the line. Well I'm sorry Sophia, that's just part of being the younger child. We still love you though.

A Day in Gettysburg

Last week my mom and I decided to travel up to Gettysburg. It was absolutely beautiful there. We had a hail storm when we drove in, but after the sky cleared up we had a lot of fun.

WOOT! An overview of our year!

Okay so I am going to do an overview of our year because I review my year every summer... AND I just found the cord to my digi cam, so I can officially transfer pics from my camera to my lappy again, HOORAY! Plus while I was preggars, I was faaarrrr to sick to want to do any blogging. So here you go, enjoy an overview of our year.

 In late AUGUST 2008 we moved back to AZ, can I get a WOOT WOOT!

I found out that I was pregnant and I got really sick.

 

Blake had to learn how to fend for himself for a while...

... he was a little confused and couldn't figure out what was going on.

In SEPTEMBER I decided to attempt to grow a garden.

Blake helped.

In OCTOBER 2008 we carved pumpkins and went trick-or-treating.

Blayne decided to reenact the famous nun jumping scene from Bedazzled

In NOVEMBER 2008 aunt Brookie came to visit and started painting a mural on Blake's wall.

In DECEMBER 2008 we visited Aunt Brooke and Uncle Jason for Blaynes birthday, and Blake had a super fun Christmas.

In JANUARY 2009 we allowed Blake to stay up late for the first time in his life (yeah right) and ring in the new year. We got poppers to celebrate the occasion. 

In FEBRUARY 2009 we visited Brooke and Jason in Cali again. 

In MARCH 2009 we had a new member join our family... Sophia!

In APRIL 2009 we celebrated Blake's 2nd birthday.

In MAY 2009 Blake helped Papa build a shed, and Sophia learned how to smile. :) Blayne took off to DC.
