Merry Christmas!

On Christmas Eve my family usually does a big appetizer feast and Santa comes to bring us presents. Just like every year, we all got nerf guns and had a big nerf gun fight. The pictures were from my phone and it doesn't do very well with movement. Sorry for the blurriness.

Surprise!

We are happy to say that our little baby will be arriving in June.

CALIFORNIA!

Brian and I were able to go down to California for 5 days to visit my family. My sister came home from her mission and we were able to go to the beach! I haven't been in 3 years, and I don't think Brian has been in about 10 years. We went to the beach twice. Had Tito's Tacos twice. Went shopping. Saw Brian's sister. Ate at Cherry on top, yogurtland, and Pink Berry. Ate at all our favorite places. We love California and we can't wait to go back!

Courage Classic 2009!

Almost every year for the past 11 years Brian's family have participated in riding in the Courage Classic. It's a charity bike ride for the Children's Hospital in Denver. Brian's younger brother was a patient there for 6 years. It is a 3 day bike ride that totals 150 miles with 10,000 feet of vertical climbing. We went up and stayed in a really nice condo up in Frisco, Colorado. The mountains are absolutely beautiful up there! I'm so proud of Brian for crossing the finish line and raising money for the hospital! Here are some pictures of the trip!

Ultimate Frisbee and BBQ!

Kathryn and I wanted to do an awesome activity outside since the weather has been amazing. So we thought that we'd get a big group of friends together and play ultimate Frisbee and have a BBQ. The weather was perfect, the food was delicious and there was lots of fun!

Garden!

I decided that this summer I needed to attempt to have a little garden. So a couple weeks ago Brian and I picked out a few things that we wanted to have. We're doing tomatoes, strawberries, cilantro, basil, green peppers, zuchinni and jalapenos. I'm scared that I'm just going to kill them, but so far it's going pretty well.

We've Moved!

We have finally moved! There's still a couple more boxes that need to be unpacked and our room is still a complete disaster. We really like our new place! The main reason why we moved was because our previous place had a "one butt kitchen" and our new place is like a "four butt kitchen" We also like the layout a lot better. We loved our old place and the ward, but the change was good. the place also has a clubhouse with a conference room, theatre room, ping pong table, pool table, exercise room, and a computer room. On Friday Brian made pizza and invited some of our friends over to play games and hang out. We brought our TV and guitar Hero game over and set it up and played various games for like 8 hours in the clubhouse.

Our friend Jenna works at a Gymnastics place and the other night after the place was closed she took a group of us down there to play on all the equipment. They had a huge foam pit that we could jump into and do crazy things. There were trampolines, high bar, balance beams, vault, and lots of other crazy things. We had a blast! One of Brian's friends was jumping from the trampoline into the foam pit, and he jumped a bit short and his left foot landed on the edge of the trampoline. He ended up getting a stress fracture and has a really bad limp. The sad part, is that he's getting married on Saturday. Hopefully, he'll be able to walk better by Saturday. Guitar Hero World Tour

Brian and I got Guitar Hero for Christmas and ever since then his buddies have been coming over and we've set goals to achieve. At first it started out as just finishing a song with all of us on expert. Then we decided to get to a 1 million high score and we finished that goal a couple weeks ago. The other day we were playing and we got to 1,518,770! I was really excited and happy that we got that far, but the boys weren't that excited because they wanted to get to 2 million instead. I think 1.5 million is high enough. Here's a picture of our 1.5 million high score. Brian sang, Cory played guitar, Chris played Bass and I was on the drums.


Here's an older picture. Brian was taking the picture so he wasn't in it. Another idea of ours is to play Bass/Guitar while singing. It's actually not that difficult.


This was when we hit our high score of 1,119,658. Cory got really excited. Brian played Bass, Cory played guitar, Chris sang and I played the drums. I'm not sure what our next goal is. We'll see what we can come up with.

I'm really horrible at this blogging thing. Mainly I just don't even know what to post about. Our life is pretty simple and boring. I'm currently going to school and Brian is working. He's been nagging me about going skiing. We'll see what happens. We had a big computer scare this last week. Brian's i-mac hard drive crashed and it would cost us $600 to send it into apple and get it replaced. Brian told me that he could take it apart himself and replace a new one. I was a bit scared, because it's a very expensive computer and I doubted that he could "jimmy rig" it like he does for everything else. But he did an amazing job and fixed it right up and saved us a lot of money! Yay Brian!! So that's pretty much our life right now.
