One thing I remember most about my Grandma Snyder's house at Christmastime is all of the candy she had lying around. She had these glass hollow Christmas trees that she used to fill with M&M's, Reeces Peanut Butter Cups, Nestle & Butterfingers in the shape of bells. I loved that! So I was so excited when I was shopping the day after Christmas last year & found one! It was only like .75 cents so I had to buy it! Nathan of course rolled his eyes because it's not like I need another decoration, & he's a tightwad, & not so much into Christmas or very sentimental so he doesn't understand that kind of stuff. But I don't think he complained when he found it out like this:
In fact, I think he was thankful for it because those M&M's were gone within days. (We all helped eat them - I can't blame it all on Nathan!) Gracie asked who ate all the M&M's & I said "Daddy" (he actually ate the last one & it was found sitting next to his chair) so now every time Cassidy sees it she says "Uh-oh, MM Daddy!" It is so cute!
So, now I have a little something that I can look at & be reminded of my Grandma. She had all of these sweet little traditions, especially at Christmas, that I miss so this is a nice reminder of her!
...so she wants one too!
